Crosby, Stills and Nash have always made fabulous harmonies, and every one of them can play a guitar. Indeed, this tune is very nice, in the old tradition of CSN.
One of the most beautiful songs by CSNY displaying their harmonies, I think, is "Helplessly Hoping", along with the alliteration. Love all their songs. 👍✌️🇨🇦
She is an amazing talent and a wonderful person on top of that. I know how much you admire Linda Ronstadt And she and Bonnie are good friends and Linda had a huge hit with this very same song
This is what happens when you put three masters together. She and Jackson Browne did a live duet of his song My Opening Farewell with both of them picking guitars. Harri, it would slay you. Truly, you should give it a chance.
I've been a fan of Bonnie Raitt for a long time. She has a remarkable voice and her guitar skills are obviously legendary. And , wow..... nothing compares to the harmonies/vocals of David Crosby and Graham Nash. I really enjoyed this performance. On the other hand, I've been a Linda Ronstadt fan for even longer. Her version of this song is my favorite. The video of her performing it on "ABC Concert 1973" does not have the harmony that was done so brilliantly in Bonnie Raitt's video. But Linda's voice alone is worth listening to.
So thrilled you're back Harri. I was worried about you.💕 I believe this was from the 25th anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Bonnie Raite, the queen of the slide guitar, the vocals that grab your heart and harmonies to take you to a higher level. Absolute perfection in this delightful performance. Beautiful!!! Loved your reaction, you were taken on a ride to the heavens. Thanks Harri and John. Beautiful choice! Once again, welcome back Harri. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

NOBODY sells a song like Bonnie. My favorite crushing heartbreak song, sung by my favorite singer. Her studio version from '72 is what I play when I need a good cry. For 50 years, it never fails. P.S. Those other two guys are no slouches either.
I was fortunate enough to see Bonnie Raitt in person in the early 80’s. She was amazing! I have heard Linda Ronstadt’s version of this song but hadn’t heard this one. Great request John! It’s beautiful! I always love Harri’s enthusiasm 🌺✌️
I’ve seen Bonnie Raitt several times and she is awesome. I’ve been following her since the 80’s. Mighty Tight Woman is my favorite Bonnie song although it’s really impossible to pick just one! Thanks for the reaction my friend 👵🏼☮️❤️🙏🏼🧙🏻♀️
I didn't know of Bonnie Raitt until she was on Saturday Night Live way back in the day (late 70's). She did Del Shannon's "Runaway", and absolutely blew me away! She has been a fave ever since. Even the great Del Shannon loved her rendition of his song! Aside from her amazing vocals, she kills it on that slide guitar. Crosby and Nash sound perfect with her. Good one Harri!
Been fortunate to see her 3 times. First time when I was 17, MANY MANY years ago at the Philharmonic in NYC. Had to fight back the tears when she sang this.
Love Me Like A Man was one of her earliest songs...love the way she performs it later even better, shows off both her beautiful voice & exemplary guitar skills. Will be seeing her for like the 6th time this June at Eastman Theatre for the Rochester International Jazz Festival . Can't wait!💕
Beautiful song, beautiful voices & a great reaction... I've loved Bonnie for ages but in this song I suddenly heard echoes of Bette Midler (who's no slouch either..) that I hadn't noticed before...😊😊👍
Happy Birthday, Harri. John, just about any selection from Bonnie Raitt would be okay with me, but this one, along with Crosby and Nash, is one of my favorite performances. Great one, John.
First timer here, I really appreciated your commentary on this beautiful song and the beautiful people performing it. I've never heard this version before which is what drew me in and I'm glad I did. Thank you for putting this out to others who may or may not have fallin in love or forgot how to.
As a surprise I took my wife to a concert for her birthday before COVID hit. James Taylor in concert with Bonnie Raitt. Two of her favorite artist. All I told her was to pack a bag and to expect to be gone for three days. She found out where, who, and what when she read the marquee. A few months earlier I had presented her with tickets to see John Prine in a newly renovated Opra House (ca. 1890) for our 14th wedding anniversary. The acoustics were awesome. Unfortunately Covid struck and took too many of our musicians, with John Prine being one of the first. I look forward to resuming our travels. My goal is to help her check off those entries on her bucket list when the opportunities arise.
@@marybaillie8907 thank you. We had planned to take the train across the entire Canadian southern boarder. We had reservations at all layover stops to explore parts Canada.
