Interesting note on the rally mechanic for anyone reading this: Continue hitting the enemy even after they’ve died and you’ll still replenish health. It usually lasts long enough to fill the whole bar.
@@dimitrijetokovic5652 The thing is i think they should've increased the amount of blood retrieved when hitting with a weapon so you can heal good amount without taking off your weapon and start whacking them with ur fist to milk them
After watching the prep streams I’m realizing how much work goes into these walkthroughs bc essentially your playing the game twice and guiding us through everything and even killing everything which is so time consuming but very appreciated I’ll definitely be following along and play the game again and do the quest lines
I did my playthrough unguided, this is definitely one of the easiest games to get into aside Elden ring. I really only struggled on like 1-2 bosses personally, only really needed to look up where to find certain things I needed

For some reason I havent really struggled with bosses either, atleast for now. Out of the three bosses I've fought thus far I've only died to one once, which was to Cleric beast cause I didn't have any heals left. I don't really think I am that good either, I sometimes really struggle with certain normal enemies. Aside from Sekiro, which is very different from the rest, Bloodborne is my first souls like game too. On contrast I really fucking struggled with Sekiro at the beginning. I died to every miniboss multiple times and that fucking chained ogre had be genuinely tweaking. Sekiro was so stressing for me at first, that my arms were hurting after playing for a few hours cause I was tensing them the whole time. Prob my favourite game though.

But it was also probably cuz it was the last one I played too so I had plenty of experience beforehand
Weirdly enough, the fact that you died to the rats actually added a lot to this for me-- both showed the best way to go retrieve your echoes, but also made me feel a lot better about being so shit at the game rn. Its just nice to know that even an expert like you can fuck up and get killed by some rats every once in a while. Thank you for the amazing walkthrough!

Bloodborne is especially notorious for the unrelenting nature of the regular enemies, they are ALL menaces and will take any opportunity they have to gank you.
I hated dark souls 3 at first, and then I got hand - held through it by cowboy here and now I have 200+ hours clocked into it. I expect it will be the same for this game.
@@jake-ps4rh Tip for Bloodborne (I've beaten the entire game + DLC's) All weapons are viable. Find the right weapon for you. As cowboy said, the saw cleaver is a weapon you can use to the end game. Something that I did. If you find the right build or weapon for you, you'll love bb!

Dude, I picked up this game a few days ago, and I kept doing everything wrong, and I absolutely hated it (yet I kept playing it) until I stumbled across this video and it helped LOTS, everyone who complains about there being no checkpoints are straight up SILLY, it's all about shortcuts and getting used to the mechanics, knowing your enemy and your environment. You don't have to replay the same thing over and over again. There are shortcuts just about everywhere, and almost every fight has an option to skip past, just with the trade-off of less blood echoes, other than that. I will say, you do need practise and a little bit of getting used to the controls n' stuff, but this game is rather pleasant if you just think smarter.
I was stuck so so long at Central Yharnam..I stop playing several times...Learned so much from this walkthrough..The mechanics really teaches to be patient and get the right timing to not die..And now in one day I made through the 2nd boss flawlessly.
Same here I couldn’t get passed the part with the big fire pit I. The middle I kept getting my ass handed to me. I even gave up to for a while lol but I got back into it and thank you for this walkthrough will be following this for my platinum trophy!!

i finally beat the cleric beast after about 30 minutes and i found out throwing knives work wonders. spam him with throwing knives right from start and it should stun lock him until you can get a visceral. then when your out, wait for him to do a slam attack and run in swinging and if you start to get somewhat low, heal. that's all i got. good luck to you guys 👍
you are an absolute god send for these videos, this is my first time playing any of fromsoftware’s games, i am notorious for panic mashing buttons in combat situations and have been my entire life so i really wasn’t sure if i was cut out for this game but i was able to defeat the cleric beast on my first attempt despite fumbling pretty much all of my oil and molotovs :-)

I never finished the DLC, I stopped after killing Maria to play Sekiro and decided to go back a week ago. I had to do a double take on the dates of these videos when I looked them up to help me out. Is Bloodborne in the air or something? I noticed other new Bloodborne videos being posted.
@Colin Call Ludwig was the toughest boss in the game for me, can't even count the times I died. I finally had to summon one of the NPCs to help me. Last night I beat Vicar Laurence in one try and Orphan Kos in 3 tries. I got lucky as hell on Kos though, was out of potions and near death. It didn't hurt I was pretty high level and using a tricked out Rakuyo with good blood gems.
Besides it becoming free im definitely thinking many others are also walking through the soulsborne to stave off hollowing waiting for news on elden ring
i somehow missed the cleric beast and went and fought gascone first. doing so got me the flamesprayer which works just as well as the molitove but you can use bullets to do the fire. tossed one oil urn and emptied my bullets to kill the beast. to attacks needed

Love this guy and his channel I would be lost at what to do. From point A to B This rally/parry mechanic is such a helpful thing throughout the gameplay.
Great video! I think an easier strategy for beginners to cross the bridge to Gascoigne is to cross it and hide in one of the side parts. The enemies will run right past and get hit by the boulder, and you fight a troll instead of a pig.
For the pig it won't start charging until you enter the tunnel way but if you take off running from the tunnel entrance you can get behind him as long as you keep running and you can get right behind him and avoid getting stuck in the narrow tunnel. Loving the guide.

Never played a Souls game till Elden Ring. Beat it a couple times over the last year got 400+ hours in and decided to go back and try and play Bloodborne because I've heard it's the best game Fromsoft has made. for fighting the pig, the easiest strategy is to sprint down the hallway toward the pig. If you sprint the whole way, you will make it in time to visceral the pig before it even starts moving.
@@MrMnM-ed5ht I actually meant "back stab." Get behind the pig and hit it with a fully charged R2. Btw, to do a visceral, time your shot with the gun to parry the enemy. Then, while standing right in front of it, hit it with an R1

Dude the amount of hours and time and damn fucking patience I put into this game was pretty massive. I never played souls games and was giving up on this game. Thanks to your guide I’ve defeated my 1st boss. 👍🏻
The easier way to deal with the guys on the bridge and bolder is: once you hit the far edge of the first circle in the brick of the bridge they start to run. Run to the little ledge off to the side of the elevator and wait for the bolder. It can knock out all enemies, but often times it leaves 1 or 2. So you only have a few guys and no bolder to worry about.
Came here looking for this. I was astonished and horrified when he took the pig on headfirst. My husband was a vet at this game when I started playing and he told me to run up the bridge, dodge around the enemies, let the fireball take out the guys on the bridge. And then you dodge around the troll and shield guy at the top, run to the ladder and hang out near the top of it. Then you can let the troll and shield guy kill themselves jumping off the ledge trying to hit you. Then you go down the ladder and visceral the pig from behind. Easy peasy
First time playing this type of game. At first i was struggling but these guides have helped. The funny part was that while following the guide I went into the cleric by accident before leveling up and managed to beat him with some little skill and luck. I rarely get an adrenaline rush but when I was fighting and destroyed cleric I was like holy shit. It was my first attempt and now im pumped for the rest.
I got through the fight! I can keep playing the game! 🎉 thank you so much for these guides. I fumbled the bag with the oils and Molotovs so I had to beat him with just my weapon. As a pretty passive gamer, that was a HUGE accomplishment for me. ❤
Thanks Cowboy! I had my step son's ps4 (w/an ssd I put in it bc the OG drive died long ago) just sitting around collecting dust b/c he has ps5 now and I play on PC. Been wanting a FS fix while waiting for Shadow and it clicked, "Bloodborne." Of course! Anyhow you helped me get started in ER so I knew I was coming back to my homie the Cowboy! I went about 2 hours before I knew what time it was and so far my friend you have delivered.
On the bridge above the pig if you make it about halfway where the circle is and turn around and run back to the ladder and go down a couple rungs, the mob stops at the end of the bridge and the boulder wipes them out for you.
quick tip: the cleric beast is quite easy to kill if u just manage to get behind him, swing at him and when he turns around dodge to the side so you get behind him again. he turns quite slowly so you can keep doing it until he dies
I followed the first video to a T and progressed faster than I did on my own without missing anything... I spent two days in yarnham... Cuz I suck lol Thanks dude, once I got papa g down I'll try the rest on my own
After like a 4 year gap giving up after struggling to beat Cleric Beast, created a new character and followed this guide and beat him first time with no drama. Also find the game less daunting than it was at first and learning the enemy movements. Biggest lesson for me is learning the map and where things are instead of stumbling around like a drunk hunter. There was an annoying moment losing 10k blood echoes by stupidly falling down the shaft after beating the tunnel pig in Central Yharnam and dying to the two bridge trolls when trying to get back. Dying to a pack of rats will teach you quickly about overconfidence
Oh wow! He's literally only just started putting these up. Because of how much his Demons Souls Remake videos have helped I literally bought the Bloodborne Collectors Edition off Ebay yesterday as he made me think I could start tackling (and appreciating) From Softwares other titles.

You never get past the "get killed by stupid stuff or weak ass enemies" state, it will forever happen even after thousands of hours in these games

Love this guy and his channel I would be lost at what to do. From point A to B This rally/parry mechanic is such a helpful thing throughout the gameplay.
I almost got the Cleric Beast yesterday with only the Axe. I thought fire could help, but seeing your technique it actually does. very helpful.
Great video! I think an easier strategy for beginners to cross the bridge to Gascoigne is to cross it and hide in one of the side parts. The enemies will run right past and get hit by the boulder, and you fight a troll instead of a pig.

For the pig it won't start charging until you enter the tunnel way but if you take off running from the tunnel entrance you can get behind him as long as you keep running and you can get right behind him and avoid getting stuck in the narrow tunnel. Loving the guide.

Never played a Souls game till Elden Ring. Beat it a couple times over the last year got 400+ hours in and decided to go back and try and play Bloodborne because I've heard it's the best game Fromsoft has made. Your definitely making the transition so much smoother!!! After I beat this I'm gunna treat myself to Dark Souls 3 😁 Thanks in advance for helping me get through that game too 😂😅

I chuckle every time cb accidentally gestures. That gesture feature is evil, whoever made that feature woke up and chose violence that day.

for fighting the pig, the easiest strategy is to sprint down the hallway toward the pig. If you sprint the whole way, you will make it in time to visceral the pig before it even starts moving.
How do you pull off a visceral?
@@MrMnM-ed5ht I actually meant "back stab." Get behind the pig and hit it with a fully charged R2.
Btw, to do a visceral, time your shot with the gun to parry the enemy. Then, while standing right in front of it, hit it with an R1

I watched his Elden Ring Walk-through and I have to say that he is one of the best and it's not even close.
The easier way to deal with the guys on the bridge and bolder is: once you hit the far edge of the first circle in the brick of the bridge they start to run. Run to the little ledge off to the side of the elevator and wait for the bolder. It can knock out all enemies, but often times it leaves 1 or 2. So you only have a few guys and no bolder to worry about.
Came here looking for this. I was astonished and horrified when he took the pig on headfirst. My husband was a vet at this game when I started playing and he told me to run up the bridge, dodge around the enemies, let the fireball take out the guys on the bridge. And then you dodge around the troll and shield guy at the top, run to the ladder and hang out near the top of it. Then you can let the troll and shield guy kill themselves jumping off the ledge trying to hit you. Then you go down the ladder and visceral the pig from behind. Easy peasy
First time playing this type of game. At first i was struggling but these guides have helped. The funny part was that while following the guide I went into the cleric by accident before leveling up and managed to beat him with some little skill and luck. I rarely get an adrenaline rush but when I was fighting and destroyed cleric I was like holy shit. It was my first attempt and now im pumped for the rest.

I got through the fight! I can keep playing the game! 🎉 thank you so much for these guides. I fumbled the bag with the oils and Molotovs so I had to beat him with just my weapon. As a pretty passive gamer, that was a HUGE accomplishment for me. ❤
Thanks Cowboy! I had my step son's ps4 (w/an ssd I put in it bc the OG drive died long ago) just sitting around collecting dust b/c he has ps5 now and I play on PC. Been wanting a FS fix while waiting for Shadow and it clicked, "Bloodborne." Of course! Anyhow you helped me get started in ER so I knew I was coming back to my homie the Cowboy! I went about 2 hours before I knew what time it was and so far my friend you have delivered.

On the bridge above the pig if you make it about halfway where the circle is and turn around and run back to the ladder and go down a couple rungs, the mob stops at the end of the bridge and the boulder wipes them out for you.

quick tip: the cleric beast is quite easy to kill if u just manage to get behind him, swing at him and when he turns around dodge to the side so you get behind him again. he turns quite slowly so you can keep doing it until he dies

A friend of mine is letting me borrow his PS4 to play through Bloodborne for the first time, I'm so excited!
After like a 4 year gap giving up after struggling to beat Cleric Beast, created a new character and followed this guide and beat him first time with no drama. Also find the game less daunting than it was at first and learning the enemy movements.
Biggest lesson for me is learning the map and where things are instead of stumbling around like a drunk hunter. There was an annoying moment losing 10k blood echoes by stupidly falling down the shaft after beating the tunnel pig in Central Yharnam and dying to the two bridge trolls when trying to get back. Dying to a pack of rats will teach you quickly about overconfidence

Oh wow! He's literally only just started putting these up. Because of how much his Demons Souls Remake videos have helped I literally bought the Bloodborne Collectors Edition off Ebay yesterday as he made me think I could start tackling (and appreciating) From Softwares other titles.
