Hellcats are money makes and it help sales Chargers and Challengers of every trim... Viper never did that.
viper had a small sales market, it's a much lighter car with the carbon fiber, but also at the time the cost is way more, then a hellcat and now with the demon, look at jeep they took some lineup stuff out so they can bring back the Wagoneer. 1000 hp demon straight out of the factory thank you MOPAR
the viper was making dodge break even or lose money since it was so much more detailed and not mass produced like the challenger and charger

I feel that, when the time comes, Dodge should follow this commercial as close as possible for the Demon reveal. Just imagine being at the NY Autoshow with this giant cage on the showroom and when the reveal comes the cage can be lifted up or open up to a platform for the Demon to sit on.

geoff3610 nope its a hellcat on steroids 800+ HP called the demon OH YEAH!
Actually, they said that the only part of the Hellcat engine that was carried over was the cylinder head. Even then, so much is different between the two. The Hellcat is more of an all-purpose car, while the Demon is pure drag. You can't even push this thing to its limit at an official drag strip without a proper license and safety equipment. For comparison, this has a 9.65 second 1/4 mile, according to Dodge, while the Hellcat is about 11-12 second.

By leaving the roll cage out, you make it the customers responsibility to build a cage. Each owner will have different taste as to how intrusive they want their cage. Some may want a simple cage, some may want a cage that extends throughout the body, single seat vs dual seat cage etc. Plus u open up a huge aftermarket cage kit arena for companies. This car raises the benchmark big time and will send gm and Ford to the drawing board. Should be really fun to watch.
