As a U.S. Marine I greatly apreciate your video. Not many Americans realize why we get this day off. I hope Americans will always remember veterans and remember their sacrafices. Never forget the men and women who lay down thier lives for this great country.
the soldier, above all others, prays for peace. for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war -Gen. Douglas Macarthur thank you for such a breathtaking piece.
My Grandpa was an Army Ranger in the Korean War. He was a Sgt. First Class, took 2 hills in Seoul, South Korea with a squad of 12 men under his wing, and he didn't lose one man and he came home safe. My aunt was an Air Force veteran as well. Im honored to be part of a military family. Im so proud of both of them and every other soldier that has served and is currently serving. God bless our troops!
To understand what it means to be a soldier, you would have to be one. No one else will ever truly understand. Not family, not friends, not country. We have some understanding, yes. But, true understanding only comes from those who have endured the fight. Stood side by side with their brothers and sisters as they have faced their greatest dangers and fears together. Losing each other. Some returning home. Some losing it all. Those that have returned still suffer... Always having those memories imprinted in their minds and hearts... Always remembering those who were not able to come home. Hoping with every part of them, that they can lead their best lives for those who could not, feeling unworthy of such a task... I can not begin to imagine the pain and pressure this bestows upon our soldiers. My gratitude is absolutely endless. While my soldier did make it home, many did not. We will never forget you. We will always honor and cherish you. On this Memorial Day and everyday. Thank you. Our many blessings and thanks to the families and friends of our fallen. You are always in our hearts and in our prayers. -Bethany
This Video is Beautiful and The Greatest Video i Have ever seen. my grandfather served in he vietnam war and i am currently in iraq Serving in Iraqi Freedom. God Bless Him and The United States. May We ALways Triumph over Evil. HOOAH!! US ARMY
Thank you for remembering all of our military history, both past and present. We started fighting for our freedom over 200 years ago, when our nation was formed. Staying free is an ongoing battle.
My late brother was Army. He was a great guy. People say "Hey an extra day off work or school. YAY!!" They forget what this day really stands for. I am a proud brother of a soldier and I will always remember.
Beautiful, heartfelt and respectable job you did at compiling this video tribute in memory of all our men and women who perished in service to their country - AMERICA, The Good Ol' U.S. of A.!!!! Thank You!!!
American Warriors have always stepped up to the plate for our freedoms and liberties and many have paid the ultimate sacrifices and some have survived to endure worse. HONOR THEM, RESPECT THEM, LOVE THEM & NEVER FORGET THEM! I salute you all! Hugs, Sparrow Six-Five!
Great video. A Much better uplifting message than all than all the sad bs people post on the subject. I am a Purple Heart recipient and saw my fair of action in OIF II, this is a better depiction of how people should remember sacrafice.
American Warriors have always stepped up to the plate for our freedoms and liberties and many have paid the ultimate sacrifices and some have survived to endure worse. HONOR THEM, RESPECT THEM, LOVE THEM & NEVER FORGET THEM! I salute you all! Hugs, Sparrow
Thank You for posting this. This has to be by far the best Memorial Day Tribute video I have ever seen. I am a Desert Storm Vet. It was very hard to try and hold back the tears.
Beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this. Our freedom isn't free. But I hope the day will come when all mankind will gather and there will be no more war or sorrow. This day WILL come but in the meantime we must stand guard at the door of freedom, it is on shaky ground now as I write this. Please pray for our dear country. "Give me liberty or give me death!"--Patrick Henry
Beautiful Memorial Day tribute. One of the best on RUclips. One correction, if I may... towards the end, we see the words "Lest we never forget their sacrifice." The word "lest" can be be literally translated to mean "for fear that." So, in this context, what we should read is "Lest we forget their sacrifice" or "May we never forget their sacrifice." Hope that makes sense. Thank you for paying tribute to our fallen soldiers.
Thank you for this moving tribute to our brave, courageous men/women fighting for our freedom. God bless them, now fighting and those who've fought. Those who've given their lives for us to be here now. May we never forget!
Thank you for this excellent tribute..it was beautifully mastered. Thanks just does not seem to be an adequate expression for the sacrifice of those who risked all for other peoples freedom as well as our own...I proud to fly my American flag everyday for you all...
Excellent in every way, JimNagle87. Thank you, for 'helping me' to remember those who have given so much for the rest of us to know the taste of freedom.
Beautiful Tribute. I know it has been posted for many years and it is just as wonderful today as when posted. Thank you for sharing this with us....Beautifully put together....
This heartfelt video ends with two striking blunders: "Lest we never forget" implies that we SHOULD forget. The correct verbiage is, "Lest we forget." In all of America’s military campaigns, over 2,852,901 casualties were suffered, over 1,354,664 of which were fatalities. Memorial Day is a somber day of mourning and remembrance of our war dead, and contemplation of the cost of freedom. Wishing someone a “Happy Memorial Day” is akin to wishing “Happy 9/11”: it debases the sacrifices made.
I might add if I may, the pilot pictured was none other than: Lt. Col. Francis S. "Gabby" Gabreski. Gabby shot down 28 Germans before he himself was shot down and captured. Gabby stayed in the Air Force and was credited with 6 and a half MiGs in the Korean war.

I want you all to realize something most have not even considered. The longest military engagement this nation has ever been involved in is the war on terror. I ask you how many did America draft? Not a single 1. Let that sink in.
No, that would be how many Nazi's he downed good sir. Also, if I may play devils advocate here, just to make a general statement. Although we attribute the Nazi's as villains. Not all serving in the Germany Army were as such. They were doing their duty as well and some were not even aware of the atrocities being commited behind the scenes. There was heroism on both sides. Friend and enemy.
@JimNagle87 agreed. They were good soldiers, only carrying out orders from above. now talk about the SS and such, that's a different scenario. "All Nazi's were german, not all germans were Nazi's"
What an awesome video....and then they had to FK it up by putting "HAPPY' Memorial Day at the end... Why do people love putting the word 'Happy" in there ???? Why dont you look at the video again..especially the parts of the coffins with the american flags draped over them, or the Thousands of headstones at the cementary..and tell me whats happy about that...
@JAKECAPNESUFACE don't hate on the soldiers because you don't like the wars, they don't chose the place and time where they will fight, The leaders you voted into office made that choice for them. The people that volunteer for the military do an ugly job that your too weak or cowardly to do yourself.
As a U.S. Marine I greatly apreciate your video. Not many Americans realize why we get this day off. I hope Americans will always remember veterans and remember their sacrafices. Never forget the men and women who lay down thier lives for this great country.

Thank you so much for creating this beautiful video. Its a little weird to end with HAPPY Memorial Day..you know? Sorry to criticize! Thanks again.
Actually it is happy...its the day I remember the the good times I had with my buddies I lost over there
@@andyjustice4719 actually it’s not happy. There’s nothing happy about losing friends and I’ve lost many. So I’ll kindly disagree with you
None wanted war, but we're told it's there goal,job,right...none wanted the war but war wanted them in in all flags....tragedy
I want you all to realize something most have not even considered. The longest military engagement this nation has ever been involved in is the war on terror. I ask you how many did America draft? Not a single 1. Let that sink in.
what is that beautiful piece of music called???
And they said Superman and Batban are super heroes lol They dont know the meaning of heroes till they meet these great american soldiers

@JAKECAPONESUFACE but we have allies and if they get in a war we have to join them and help them fight
@JimNagle87 agreed. They were good soldiers, only carrying out orders from above. now talk about the SS and such, that's a different scenario. "All Nazi's were german, not all germans were Nazi's"
the video is embedded and not able to share on Facebook.... :(
Please always keep in mind, many fought and died so you could be free..and not marched in a town square to be an example of tyranny
Should that not have said; "Lest we forget their sacrifice"?
Great video though.
my dad was a veteran of the vietnam war who wasn't any of that so watch what u say may cuz it will offend people man
what is the name of this song?
What song is this?
