To call someone stupid, because they have an opinion you don't like @southernlife is so unprofessional and mean as a RUclipsr and is the reason why your channel will never really grow. You gave opinions NOT Statistics. According to Forbes, Detroit is #3. Neighborhood Scout has Detroit as #6. CNN reported New Orleans as #1. Detroit is a dangerous city, but it is not #1! Detroit has so much growth! You said yourself that the food is delicious, and there are some places in Metro Detroit that are really great! It is also really affordable here, and the people are really good, hardworking folks! I lived in Ocala for a few years, and it was a total stark contrast. Katie grew up in Ann Arbor according to you, that is NOT DETROIT or even METRO Detroit. Katie has long since been a resident of Florida. I am sure her family is NOT in DETROIT! What many people don't know is Michigan is unique in saying Metro-Detroit, meaning cities that are within 30 miles of Detroit, it DOESN'T mean Detroit. Stick to what you know about.....Florida. You're trying to come out the box 📦, but with your attitude and perspective, you'll never grow your subscribers.
Hey man as a 30 year trucker you are spot on , I don’t know if you done Tampa Fl, I was born and raised here and I have found that people move from dam near from every town you mentioned and bring their bad habits here. It’s crazy seeing a city that was small and nice turn into a normal crime infested metropolis and it’s caused by these transplants that move from somewhere else. I guess that’s how all of these towns once were until people brought their bad habits with them.
I live in Orlando Baldwin Park 3min drive border to the city of Winter Park and it's so peaceful and you can leave packages on your door and in the 4 years I've been here no packages have been reported stolen. But alot of my new yorkers are moving here and fear they will ruin it more than the price inflation. And this is a all middle class and rich class but 10 minutes down town be careful and carry your piece fully legal is better but yeah man I believe my childhood best friend lives in Tampa and she cried when her area of living is getting worse. Thanks for your service on the road I respect all drivers especially truckers and bikers. ❤😊🎉
People left Florida this year breaking down to 25,000 per month. People move to Florida thinking they're going to live like they're on vacation and leave as soon as they can when they realize what it's really like for most.
I'm not so sure about that as crime still happens even in the countries with the strictest laws. Unfortunately most of the criminals are those in power. See Saudi Arabia for a perfect example.
Obviously, you have a narrow and unsophisticated view of the justice system. Lock them up and throw away the key is such a draconian and inhumane answer. The justice system is to be about punishment AND rehabilitation for re entry into society where possible. Our judicial system is inhumane to say the least.
THANK YOU VERY TRUE ABOUT THESE COURT'S IT'S A F**KING JOKE WITH SOME OF THE JUDGE'S IF YOU FEEL PETTY FOR SOME OF THE CRIMINALS THEN A JUDGE SHOULD NOT SIT ON THAT BENCH AMERICA...
I am deeply saddened that I live in America. I loved this country with my dad being a veteran. We, citizens, are drowning in addiction. The billionaires have abandoned us. And the mental illness in our people is overwhelming.
I'm a vet who fights for PTSD. I learned all too quick that America only does what is forced. I have seen the good and bad in other countries and don't understand why we don't adopt others logic,. We are so arrogant to think we don't need anyone.
I give you guys A LOT OF CREDIT for going out and researching what crime does to cities and its people all while politicians PAINT A DIFFERENT SCENE.. Crime SHOULD NOT BE THIS BAD in any city of the USA. There is no excuse. I see it as the politicians keep its people in its place.. Instead of living a better safe life. We are living in poverty, unsafe and unable to move on to make it a better place.. Its very sad. NO ONE SHOULD BE FORCED TO LIVE LIKE THIS!! That is my personal opinion. Thank you very much for doing this video. I appreciate it and give you a HUGE 👍👍THUMBS UP for your courage...
The politicians like to keep us at each other's throats. It's a big game, to them. To them, $ is God. That's why I love Trump. He's not a politician, he loves America, and he wants to salvage what the left hasn't destroyed. Voting Democrat right now, is voting for communism. 💯
You said a mouth full about the crooked politicians being some of the reason why community are crime filled. Politicians deplete and pocket resources that are meant to help communities survive and grow. Dirty politicians.
Crime is absolutely tied to poverty, poverty is tied to decades of racism and the disappearance of the middle class. Kids are growing up without any kind of social skills outside of holding a device in their hands the lack of being able to dream ( and when I was a teenager I bought my first car with a minimum wage job and cutting grass ) I was never told I could do anything but I was also never told I couldn't. How could they buy a home or even dream of being able to afford living in this wealth obsessed country. They turn to drugs to self medicate the depression and then bam, they are dead because you cant even smoke a joint anymore without it being laced with fentanyl. When Reagan was in office he sold a greed bill of credit card wealth and while white kids were getting high on cocaine black kids were going to prison for 40+ years for selling it. To say nothing of ignoring the AIDS crisis and getting in bed with Iraq, then Iran then South America at his leisure destroying countries and creating terrorists. While are jobs are sent overseas and then everyone wants to blame immigrants who have always been doing the jobs white people won;;t do, ever. So yes, crime, drugs, empty storefronts, guns guns guns guns. And while everyone is sitting around deciding who is going to impeach whom climate change is killing us, everywhere, globally, and a bunch of wanna be republicans hold up their hand that they don't believe climate change is real and they would support Trump 'even if he was convicted. And i gotta tell ya, if it were anyone else he would have been in jail 30 years ago. So our country was too busy pouting when YES the DNC fucked Bernie so they didn't vote, now we have a white supremacy issue that is so frightening I cannot imagine having dark skin in this country. I'm 60, a young and kinda hip 60 I guess. I lived in SF in the 90's, I marched with ACTUP, I marched against the first Iraq war, I'm queer and I had the time of my life and I had two rooms in my first flat in 1990 for $250 a room, pretty steep but doable on my $10 hr salary. I would'nt live in SF right now even if it were affordable. No soul, no heart, no edge. So if I were young right now I would drop the hell out, live amongst like minded people get super plugged in to the environment and take this country to its eye opening edge every one of these gender bending, non binary , bi=racial couple, non homophobic last one of yo you tic toc lil youngsters. Myself, the goal while it sounds ridiculous,, I'm going to start a creative arts school for Appalachian kids. and if I can rock that I'm going to open one in each one of these broken cities and try and to give back so my legacy won't be watching these videos and getting sick. , We don't have decades, we can't look at these cities and say how did happen? I'm telling you every last one of us is going to know poverty and illness and drought and it's not far off. I'm not a doomsday down in the mouth person at all, but but it's here folks. Get busy living, be kind, and let's do this.
No, it's not. That is a leftist lie. Crime is a sign of IQ, ethnicity, race more than any other thing. It's still true whether you like the truth or not. Some of the poorest places in the country have near zero crime. Your dishonest narrative cannot explain this because it's wrong.
I agree about San Antonio, I lived there for years. It was wild both in good and bad ways, just a totally interesting and unpredictable place. Amazing food, most of the people were cool, I was never messed with because I mind my own business and have good manners.
Lived off and on in the San Antonio area since the 1950s because my dad was in the Air force. People are nice and we do have crime.Supposedly there has been some increase in the homeless.I live outside of San Antonio to the east. The traffic is getting insane because of all the auslanders (german for outlanders) moving here. All these people do is bring their problems wherever they go.
I was born and raised in Baton Rouge Louisiana. And the bad area is where I grew up. It WAS a very nice neighborhood when I lived there. You would have to have a cop escort to go through there now. It’s really bad 😳
From BR too. Grew up on the Northside near Airline and Prescott. Its ridiculous how bad it is now. Really began declining significantly in the early 2000s. Going towards Plank from Airline was always bad but it seems that whole damn area now is just abhorrent.
It ashamed to see how some people can turn to crimes this ungodly and demonic actions that destroy humans happiness, and destroying their own lives, cities, states and country when they should be working together to make better and safer places for all, they are destroying and corrupting their own homes.
I have lived just South of Detroit my whole life into my 70s. My friends and I started going to Detroit on the bus at age 11. We would go shopping and checking out the tall buildings. Every city has places you just don’t go to. Detroit is no exception. You people who bash Detroit, need to take another look. I go to Detroit quite a bit. I go to the casino with my son and we have been to countless big name concerts. My son is in Detroit every weekend for football and later for baseball. They have done a lot of work on it and it looks great! There are new businesses and condos going up constantly. Detroit will comeback!! 😊🩷
Only when/if America "comes back". That's what Trump was doing, but the brainwashed left is fighting against him. Against America. Voting for the left right now, is literally voting for communism. It's so obvious, yet so many people are oblivious to what's right in front of them.
Born and raised in St. Louis Missouri and you hit the nail right on.. shit pops off everywhere & yes even in the suburbs. Very extreme gun laws so people ride around with 100 rounds and don’t care they shoot when they see their enemies. Multiple gang wars happening right now
Listen when you guys visit St. Louis, stay in the west county or central west end area. The West side, & North county are a no if you aren’t familiar or know people there. The north side is 100% off limits that is a war zone with multiple multiple gangs going back and forth. Downtown is no good right now you will have to look over your shoulder, plenty of shootings and robberies. If you go stay around Ballpark village located by Busch stadium home of the Cardinals. Avoid off brand gas stations and Corner stores the safest gas stations in St. Louis will always be the Quick trips. Stay away from most mobiles and Bps. Just a few tips. Just have all your wits about yourself & respect people when you go out and you will be fine. Try Forest park, city museum, the Farris wheel at union station, these are just to name a few activities but there’s still some life here
What kind of gun Laws? Like your allowed to have them ? Or you cant havem? Because wherever your allowed to havem more of the bad guys get popped versus the good guys! ! And less robbery because they know good guys carry like Florida and Texas,
@@chris-cy5ed Gun laws in St. Louis are pretty much constitution based. At 18 you can go buy a pistol and conceal or open carry. People roll around with AR15s you can literally walk around with them out or roll with them in your car and the police can’t do anything unless you threaten someone. As Long as you aren’t a felon or carrying fully automatic weapons you’re in the clear. Of course people have plenty of those as well. Pistols with auto seers and micro Draco’s are pretty common these days.
Crime has always been a big part of the Black Neiborhood, the reason is, this is where you allow it to remain. it is a funny thing We can go all over the world and help other people from being kill and we get kill helping them, and when I say we I mean the Court system, politician, and even out own race. This may be strange to you but I remember when I was young you had total respect for elderly, Children, and most of all parents which in return gave us more respect for ourselves. Just saying.
Our country wont be here in 25-50 years. It's dying fast and everyone knows the reason why. Iam glad I lived through the better years of the USA but I'll be gone soon.
Definitely Philly and they won't change.... They think demacraps are for the poor. Shit if Trump was still here no foreign air for other countries. Tha wall would have armed soldiers there and instead of foreign aid there'd be American aid😅
My ex husband worked in Baltimore for a few months. He said the rats 🐀 were huge . The size of small dogs lol. It freaked him out. We are from the west side of Michigan in Grand Rapids. A very nice little city but we are seeing crime go way up here too. I've lived in Michigan my entire 45 yrs and only been to Detroit a hand full of times for concerts or museums for school. We went there for Detroit 🐯 Tigers game and pistons lions game. I only went there once where we went shopping and looking around. We got lost in a area where we didn't belong but got back on the main road fast lol. I hear Detroit is cleaning up but that was before Biden because president 😂idk now.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS that's awesome!! I'll look for it. Was it this winter? We are getting a blizzard as we speak. All the schools and some businesses closed of Friday . Its been snowing nonstop since. Here in GR we could have 15" when its done. We get lake effect snow so even when the snow stops the wind makes traveling especially by the lake very hard.
My husband is a truck driver and tries to avoid all of these cities. Baltimore is BAD! The rats are huge. We traveled together and I brought my cat. We stopped at a T/A truck stop in Baltimore, MD. I stayed in the truck with my cat. My cat was staring at a trashcan and growling. In a while, 2 huge rats came out if the trash cat. I am talking about small dog size rats. We have been to these other cities too. Not good at all.
I'm shocked that there wasn't one place from the state of Ohio on this list. Ik Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Toledo, Dayton, & Youngstown have their fair share of crime for sure.
Chicago is a warzone. The reason their murder rate seems relatively low is because there is a huge population there. That means you need exponentially more crime and murders to make a blip. My aunt has had her catalytic converter stolen off her car 5 times in the past 2 years… and she lives in a decent neighborhood
Is not that bad in Chicago is 3millon people in Chicago and they getting 900 murders a year that's not theat much Los Angeles in 1992 from Dec 1 to Dec 30 it was 500 homicides in South Central
I lived in Edgewater for 7 years, not once did anything happen to me or my car and i parked outside. I owuld have stayed too but my job force me to move. Most of the cirme in Chicago happens on the south and west sides, and not even the entire south or west sides. I worked in Englewood at the Welfare office on Western and i never was harassed or anything taken from my car. The point is, stats don't lie and one's own personal (and anecdotal) experience does not define the entire place. Englewood is considered one of the most dangerous neighborhoods, ranked up there with Garfield Park and Austin but I never was on the receiving end of the violent crime but stats don't lie. Just as stats don't lie in regard to your aunt, just because your aunt has had that happen numerous times does not necessarily mean it's rampant or happens to everyone.
No. Learn some basic statistics. It is a linear relationship, not an exponential relationship. Ask someone who passed middle school math if you don't believe me.
You drove on my street in Baton Rouge, LA. I live where I can afford to live. I have a degree, too from LSU at Baton Rouge. Still things are not peachy for my family. When houses look bad, that doesnt mean bad people live there. My neighbors on my street, by Big Ben's (big yellow sign) are the most God fearing, people loving folks anyone would want to meet. And yes I love the music and the food here. During Hurricanes I wouldn't want to be by anyone else. We help each other, ...we mow each other's grass when the owners arent even at home. We give food away to neighbors. I live by the all the retired men who "made" Exxon, when it was just Standard Oil. My sons work at the refinery plants here too, for good pay. Thats why we stay. And the universities are near by. I admire all the elderly men who get up early to mow grass for a living, (after retirement) at age 80, at these temps too. Hard to judge a city by "drive- bys" only. Wouldn't you want to be my neighbor?
I'm from down the road in Gonzales I grew up going to BR and know a lot of people there and I have lived there I can back what your saying there are some very kind people in BR ..yes there are bad areas and you can deffinatly get it if your looking for it..I dont recommend going deep in certain spots if you arent from there..But I stand by what I say theres very kind people in BR ..
Cool video! I was really surprised To see Corpus Christi, Texas on the list. They made the top 10 best places in the United States to live on another ranking.
Downtown St.Louis is definitely dangerous and deadly. I lived here my entire life, and our downtown looks very depressing and has no kind of vibe at all.
I was born and raised in Marrero, Louisiana. IMO, the entire state is a slum suffering economic depression. Every place, town , neighborhood I've been to are all raggedy and dirty and dangerous. YOU COULD NOT PAY ME A MILLION DOLLARS TO MOVIE BACK THERE!
I almost moved to Pontevedra because our son was stationed in NAS Jax and he told us no to move there. He gave us a tour of Jacksonville and it was pretty bad. Oakland was so bad that I visit a MacDonalds that had a bulletproof glass partition and concrete furniture.
I don’t understand why people are so defensive of the town as people in the bay area call it. Oakland is terrible! Every time I would go to see the Oakland Athletics and be walking from the Coliseum back to bar I would hope nothing would pop of Ed
Thanks for the knowledge. It is depressing. Sadly, good people who live in these run down cities, just dont know the amount of mental and physical stress their environment puts on them. Im positive there are gold people in every bad cities. My advice is to leave. Going to bed at night will be better, and sleep will be sweeter. There is absolutely NO reason to live like that. Its squalor. My small city isnt perfect. I have crime in my neighborhood. Theres nip bottles, trash, needles on the ground in places, squatters, but its nothing as bad as some of those cities. Also, I always thought Chicago was highest in murders. Never knew it got worse elsewhere. And sadly, I heard in a news clip that chicago kids, about 23 this year, have disappeared. I hope they are returned home safely. Child trafficking is a growing threat.
Baltimore is scary. But it does have pockets of upscale urban living. Mt. Vernon, Hampden, Fells Point, Fed Hill, Roland Park, Fort McHenry and few others. And a lot of times it's literally block to block. One block burned out and the next is well kept. Most of the craziness involves criminals and associates. Unfortunately, every so often a bystander gets hit by a stray. But if you're a square in a good neighborhood, you'll probably survive and enjoy living there. Although robbery and or car vandalism/theft are things that should concern you. Be aware and avoid the hood. You should be ok.
You got Albuquerque right....I think the breaking bad show made it worse, I grew up there and left in the 90's. I hate going there for supplies due to the aggressive street people. Their feces everywhere downtown. You blink they steal your vehicle! And weather wise summer is steaming HOT 🔥 Nothing there worth seeing there cause of the crime.
Nature nuts like to live in Albuquerque because there aren't very many rainy days , and there are a lot of mountain hiking and biking trails . The night life "meh"
My parents actually live in San Antonio. It's a wonderful city and everyone is SO NICE there. I haven't had a ton of bad experiences but I'm not saying they don't have bad neighborhoods. They definitely do and the bad ones are real bad. I live in Indianapolis IN now and there's more crime here in my opinion then in San Antonio. The thing about SA though is that it's a hub for trafficking due to its proximity to the Mexican border. You are correct about Gary IN though. It's absolutely awful.
Pine Bluff most definitely. People have been leaving that place in droves. Crime ridden as hell! I'm a Texarkana native. It's not as bad as the cities on this list but headed in that direction. Recently visited and nothing has changed except the crime rate.
I have a Sister, niece, nephew, n all their kids..cousins too..living in Jax Florida, my niece is a lawyer, she was going to work, downtown with all the big buildings..a guy grabbed her thinking it would be easy...she beat the crap out of him, n held him down until the police got there.
The next time you guys travel ( whenever you recover from Cali trip $), consider Colorado. My brother moved permanently out of Miami after being here his entire life (had no choice bc it's was his job). I've only been there once, mostly in the Denver area & some other small towns I literally drove through on my way to South Dakota & Wyoming ( yes, I drove). Travelling internationally & in the states is what I was obsessed with but I have toned it down profusely. Got tired 🤣Once in a while the gypsy part of me can't contain itself. I just don't do it often, so I live vicariously through you guys. I was checking out Pagosa Springs area BTW. any thoughts about CO?
🤨 💭 Hmmm, most of the time Lawyers & others do that whenever they’re about to get involved into politics. Politicians don’t care about the middle class & poor; only care about STATUS-REPUTATION-MONEY

Y'all drove through my hood "the rich side of Tallahassee" giving me a proud moment. Yet 3 years after we got here and before all of the "covid economy reasons" armed car burglars came to our street at night and took a waring shot into the air at a neighbor. The other day I was at the Northside Library and caught a guy shade peeping into the driver's side of my honda crv. He asked me if it was new. I said: No it's a fleet car my husband's a police man. He skeedaddled. I had hot Chinese food in there! That coulda been tragic. It's everywhere now.
It’s sad how people are so ignorant.. and feel confident stating their ignorance. “Stores are closing in Philly “. The reality is that restaurants, clubs and retail establishments are constantly opening in Northern Liberties, East Pasayunk, Fishtown, .. and center city is currently undergoing an expansion. There are new buildings everywhere and many areas are being renovated. Certainly, Germantown Avenue in Mount Airy and the commercial corridor in Manayunk is thriving with great restaurants and retail… yeah.. but “stores are closing in Philly” LMAO. Pure ignorance
Philly has gotten bad with carjackings lately and the murder rate since January 1st has skyrocketed. That’s what brought me to this video. I gotta get out this city and I want to make sure I’m not moving to a replica.
Moving to a less well known city usually is fine this list really just shows the main known cities which always gonna give you problems living there is pointless they only meant for visiting
The murder rate moved upwards in almost all major cities during and right after the pandemic… for reasons that are not entirely clear. The murder rate in Philly is 20% lower in 2023 than the previous year.. which was 20% lower than the preceding year.. so you’re incorrect about the murder rate
@@YzBG bruh. 😒 that was written last year. The murder rate was what it was when I wrote the comment. You’re the only one dropping numbers. Who cares?🤷🏽♀️ It’s still crime happening, 20% up or down.
I am glad that someone took the time out to research , these cities, and states to let us know what we’re up against when we travel to these areas. I say keep up the good work.
I respect you opinion. Baltimore has much more to offer than crime. The video you took was from the same six block area. Baltimore has great food from all over the world. Great seafood. Great museums, cultural events. I guess you get more views when people disagree with you so congratulations.
Let’s not forget Baltimore has more bad areas than good ones. I’m from Baltimore and left 15 years ago and would never move back to that place. I hate to go there to visit my family. That city is a depressing place
I live in Detroit all my life and people try to talk down about this city every city has their ups and downs, I live in a very prominent area in Detroit it is very beautiful and clean! when people come together we make a great difference! yes there is some areas in Detroit that has been Rudown but Detroit is making a great comeback I could go on and on about Detroit but I'm going to leave it here for now, you need to come and visit again to what you have missed the beauty of this city 🌆 of Detroit DETROIT HAS MADE A COMEBACK 💯
Yeah I turned this off right after he said Detroit was number one this dude is clueless or living in the 70’s I’ve been to plenty of these cities and Detroit now should barley be on this list it’s clean thriving no homeless tents on sidewalks new skyscrapers being built and buildings being renovated
Absolutely! Detroit makes these lists because we are the Blackest city in America. However, we are also a city of entrepreneureal spirit, a lively and beautiful downtown, great food and absolutely beautiful neighborhoods. These types of videos are so inaccurate, biased and disrespectful. This guy who narrates the one, is insulting, with his use of regional accents and stereotypical depictions of the people. He's ridiculous.
I live in Philadelphia and Kensington is the tip of the iceberg. You should drive thru north Philadelphia areas like Allegheny west and Glenwood. These two neighborhoods make Kensington seem much less intense! And southwest Philadelphia has some terrifying neighborhoods
No one seems to mention “Camden” New Jersey! I am not being critical here, it is sad to see these things taking place in America, one of The Wealthiest Countries in The World, perhaps we should take care of our own before we give Aid to others and supply Arms for their Wars! I think some of the problems arise from the fact that some people are not paying their property tax. If there are insufficient funds in a city it is impossible to cover the cost of Decent Law-enforcement! If criminals are arrested and the case is thrown out of court or there are no consequences for the Crimes, this results in poor policing! If there are insufficient funds to repair damage the whole environment suffers! Drugs , a lack of Civic Pride, and unemployment ruin a City! Lawlessness begins in the home when children are infants, in some areas there are many Fatherless Children, mother has to work long hours to support herself and Children, who is at home to supervise the Kids?
How did you miss 2 of the worst? Twin Cities, Minnesota. Minneapolis, aka Murderapolis, has terrible problems with gangs, shootings, auto theft, etc, and is very understaffed on their police force. My friend who lives there won't go downtown, even in the day. There are shootings there almost everyday. The lightrail is too dangerous to ride, as are the buses. Some of the hoods there look like graveyards with memorials to the many shooting victims. St Paul is better than Mnpls, but it's bad too.
I’ve been to all but two of the cities featured in this video. The 3 that surprised me making the list were Birmingham Al, Springfield Mo, and Macon Ga. No surprises that all the others made the list. That’s especially true for Pahokee Fl. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in and around that area. Being from Tennessee, people here when they think of Florida. Pahokee would be the furthest thing from their mind. Most people don’t even know Florida has such neighborhoods. I’m surprised West Palm Beach didn’t make the list. It has some pretty run down neighborhoods.
I used to work for a traveling casino. There was no money, just fun for company parties and similar events. We drove to New Jersey, found Seton Hall, then went to get a quick bite to eat. Found KFC and everybody stared at us cuz we stood out, being white. It just felt weird being looked at that way. Im not from a racist place. Anyway, we got a bit creeped out. Back on campus there was a healthy diversity. We did the event, cleaned up our stuff and went to the hotel. There was a dude that worked there in our hall to the room. He was creepy, standing and staring. I felt safer in the room. My friend then turned to me and said, i dont want to stay here tonight, do you mind if we leave tonight instead of in the morning. Needless, we drove the 6 hour drive home. I have to say, my feeling wasnt fear of one particular person, but it was the whole town. It felt a bit like the movie Deliverance when the guys go to the south, deep south, and those people and their banjo kind of feeling. Or like a movie where you pull into town, things seem off, but you shake it off as just your mind playing tricks on you, till you figure out you cant escape and the town has a dark secret. It just felt similar.
You know something is wrong when Convicted Murderers are out on bail just to commit more crimes like that asshole that robbed that place with a fake gun and was shot in the head. It’s very despicable that someone who shot a convicted killer in the head might get arrested. All this nonsense about vigilante needs to stop if the law would have done it’s job that convicted killer wouldn’t have been out robbing people he’ll be behind bars not shot in head for robbing people.
Got my ass kicked in Springfield by four guys for dancing with a girl at a country western dance hall on my way to college in Arizona. The sad part was that she asked me, not the other way round. Strangers ain't dancin' whiff our womens.....That was in 1978, sounds like it's only gotten worse.
I watched all episodes of the First 48 hours!! I am aware of Oaklands and the Bay area, SF, Phillips Kensington, Ca skidrow and most crimes. I am not even American, don't wish to be one, no desire whatsoever. Your documents are so real and true to the core. I feel all the words you uttered and you are sure right.
SOUTHERN LIFE Producer. Liked the video, however I would like to point something out to you regarding Alabama. I worked 36 yrs in law enforcement all of wich was in Alabama except 4 yrs. I also served as a paramedic 40 yrs+. I would like to point out the following cities; Selma,Prichard, Anniston, Bessemer,Brighton, Talladega and Fairfied. These cities are rated in the highest per capita homicide rates in the country. This may give you some more info for future pod cast.
I have done videos for THIS youtube channel in ALL the cities you mentioned. check it out! The whole video cant be alabama. I was terrified to live in Alabama as a hispanic specially dealing with the law. the law was scarier than the criminals. lived in Millbrook outside of Montgomery what a CRAP HOLE. glad to be back in Florida.
Detroit.....stay away from Mack and Bewick. they invest in downtown but those of us who live here in the inner city they dont do very much. just arrested two cops and three Internal Affairs employees. it is never going to get better.
memphis is scary a place i never want to see again in my lifetime , phillys kensington open air drug market will scare your ass to the core its been there for years when i been there in the late 90s it was bad now theres no word for it.
Within reasonable distance of a smaller but nice town, but away from the biggest cities, away from Democrat cities, away from high ethnic especially black and Hispanic diversity but with a reasonably healthy economy. Depending what you like, also places with more locally known nature parks, county fairs and festivals. Probably somewhere that's not too flat nor overly rugged terrain, either. Just do research.
He said if the hood don’t whack you the food will savage AF but 💯 true 😂😂😂😂 I live in rich people Florida now but was raised in the hood my only complaint here is the food is less than excellent . Alabama is like Arkansas or the delta just poor and desperate people everywhere
You didn't mention anything about how beautiful CHICAGO Downtown is & The Night life is fun & top tier. Skyline along Lake shore Drive is beautiful also. Grew up in Louisville KY (family still there) Father was a Policeman there for 27 years but that place has turned to crap. My whole family is surrounded by sporadic crime and they live all over Louisville. I will never return, except to visit.
Just driving through the middle of Louisville, on a freeway, the old dilapidated, collapsing, houses, people still lived in, that look like they need bulldozed down, was depressing enough. I realized the glowing tourist and relocation advertisements were straight up full of sh-t !

You can thank Biden and his demonic party for all this strife.

Thanks for letting the public know how dangerous America is. Most people didn’t know half of the information about these dangerous cities.
The biggest problem in these cities is the court system. They let just about everyone right back out
I'm not so sure about that as crime still happens even in the countries with the strictest laws.
Also the Democratic Party rules over many of these cities.
The biggest issue is the mental health of people and the help they don’t receive, also poverty breeds crime.

Crime SHOULD NOT BE THIS BAD in any city of the USA. There is no excuse.

Instead of living a better safe life. We are living in poverty, unsafe and unable to move on to make it a better place..

Crime are signs of a bad economy and lack of accountability from politicians.

I agree about San Antonio, I lived there for years. It was wild both in good and bad ways, just a totally interesting and unpredictable place. Amazing food, most of the people were cool, I was never messed with because I mind my own business and have good manners.

Try Forest park, city museum, the Farris wheel at union station, these are just to name a few activities but there’s still some life here
USA is the last third world country along with Haiti

2018 San Bernardino was worse then Chicago it still is
I lived in Edgewater for 7 years, not once did anything happen to me or my car and i parked outside.

Baltimore is scary. But it does have pockets of upscale urban living. Mt. Vernon, Hampden, Fells Point, Fed Hill, Roland Park, Fort McHenry and few others.
And a lot of times it's literally block to block.
One block burned out and the next is well kept.

Denver and Miami got some creepy ghetto neighborhoods.I wouldn't even want to drive through those 2 cities hoods.
🤨 💭
Hmmm, most of the time Lawyers & others do that whenever they’re about to get involved into politics. Politicians don’t care about the middle class & poor; only care about STATUS-REPUTATION-MONEY
Denver is a VERY BAD idea... It's a liberal city where crime and homelessness run rampant & the police are hand cuffed and don't do anything...

Aht! Aht! Leave the comments hero alone 😂 and i moved to Shreveport because the crime rate was high 😂😂 rent cheap af 🎉 thanks for the videos
Great video & Good info for anyone might be considering relocating....
Of course my old hometown of Gary Indiana was included. When it comes to everything wrong,Gary never disappoints.🤮🤮🤮🤮
Gary Indiana has been on the "list" for 50 years.
Yeah I lived in Thomasville Georgia for years and Tallahassee was a fun place for us. Then I had to carry a pistol and I was over the whole state now.
Stores are closing up in Philly too. Probably everywhere. Thanks for the video.
Virginia would be a nice place to live
Orange County, CA
The murder rate moved upwards in almost all major cities during and right after the pandemic… for reasons that are not entirely clear.
The murder rate in Philly is 20% lower in 2023 than the previous year.. which was 20% lower than the preceding year.. so you’re incorrect about the murder rate
@@YzBG bruh. 😒 that was written last year. The murder rate was what it was when I wrote the comment. You’re the only one dropping numbers. Who cares?🤷🏽♀️ It’s still crime happening, 20% up or down.
"Before you get out at the gas station they line up to harrass you. They do burnouts on the interstate." LOL
Sounds like the former Ford dealership in Rockford Illinois. The sales guys lined up to harass you even before you got out of the car.
Albuquerque was where Bugs Bunny made the wrong turn.
I am glad that someone took the time out to research , these cities, and states to let us know what we’re up against when we travel to these areas. I say keep up the good work.
Really great video. Baltimore has some of the most beautiful architecture in America. Really a shame.
I respect you opinion. Baltimore has much more to offer than crime. The video you took was from the same six block area. Baltimore has great food from all over the world. Great seafood. Great museums, cultural events. I guess you get more views when people disagree with you so congratulations.
No OPINION...FACT IS BALTIMORE IS A TOILET THAT WILL NEVER BE S-$--#-HIT
Let’s not forget Baltimore has more bad areas than good ones. I’m from Baltimore and left 15 years ago and would never move back to that place. I hate to go there to visit my family. That city is a depressing place
I live in Detroit all my life and people try to talk down about this city every city has their ups and downs, I live in a very prominent area in Detroit it is very beautiful and clean! when people come together we make a great difference! yes there is some areas in Detroit that has been Rudown but Detroit is making a great comeback I could go on and on about Detroit but I'm going to leave it here for now, you need to come and visit again to what you have missed the beauty of this city 🌆 of Detroit
DETROIT HAS MADE A COMEBACK 💯
Be careful riding down Hearne Ave in Shreveport. And yes, Shreveport is very dangerous. I use to live there. Also, I still have family there.
My dads family is from there, the Websters
My tires the only thing I'ma worry about 😂
Shout out from Detroit. Great video.
Thanks, we were just up there 3 weeks ago. We crossed into canada for the first time too
What about Camden New Jersey?
This city is never mentioned on any of these lists, none
This city definitely should be on the list
It looks like a war zone, but hasn't the population collapsed there and everyone is now gone?
Small cities don't really count
@@westsidesagittarius3103 he put Pahokee FL and it's way smaller than Camden.
The crime running rampant in Philadelphia is directly do to the mayor , definitely the district attorney krasner , city council. 😊
@@helwigtwin you type like a Trump person. Stop with the caps.
Have you lived outside of Minnesota....it's like dreamland compared to the south and other places...folks just don't have a clue
Good video! I love the voices😂
If the per-capita crime rate figures of these 30 cities aren't revealed, it's an opinion, not a statistical analyses.
I was waiting to hear stats to back these claims up
I’ve been to all but two of the cities featured in this video.
Springfield? State ?

I watched all episodes of the First 48 hours!! I am aware of Oaklands and the Bay area, SF, Phillips Kensington, Ca skidrow and most crimes. I am not even American, don't wish to be one, no desire whatsoever. Your documents are so real and true to the core. I feel all the words you uttered and you are sure right.
Cleveland should be in the top 5
Baltimore's old world architecture looks very nice, its too bad it has turned into such a war zone.
seriously
Your evaluations are right on.
Detroit.....stay away from Mack and Bewick. they invest in downtown but those of us who live here in the inner city they dont do very much. just arrested two cops and three Internal Affairs employees. it is never going to get better.
Yessss!!!! No Cleveland, Ohio!!!! Finally! Go Browns!!!!!
memphis is scary a place i never want to see again in my lifetime , phillys kensington open air drug market will scare your ass to the core its been there for years when i been there in the late 90s it was bad now theres no word for it.
It’s scary and even more, sad
I lived in Memphis Tn . For two years house keep getting broken into . While I worked out of town. It's sad ASF.
These videos make me want to move overseas.
I live in Oakland,CA ...Ima tell you this, the ppl mad at your video dont live anywhere close to where you drove.
Are there any videos that tell about nice cities or states to go to. Places where nice things happen, where the people are friendly and it's safe?
Within reasonable distance of a smaller but nice town, but away from the biggest cities, away from Democrat cities, away from high ethnic especially black and Hispanic diversity but with a reasonably healthy economy.
Depending what you like, also places with more locally known nature parks, county fairs and festivals. Probably somewhere that's not too flat nor overly rugged terrain, either.
Just do research.
From Memphis and love it. I can see why ppl stick up 4 it like they do. Not gonna say crimes not bad there, but not as miserable as most cities.
Bro you ain't lying you spot on with Kansas City MO are crime rate is high murder rate through the roof our crime rate just as worst 10+ years back
He said if the hood don’t whack you the food will savage AF but 💯 true 😂😂😂😂 I live in rich people Florida now but was raised in the hood my only complaint here is the food is less than excellent . Alabama is like Arkansas or the delta just poor and desperate people everywhere
You didn't mention anything about how beautiful CHICAGO Downtown is & The Night life is fun & top tier. Skyline along Lake shore Drive is beautiful also. Chicago is also known for its top Tier Food spots in the hoods and not in the hoods. You Only showed driving down king drive by Parkway Gardens it's more to the City than that. It's indeed Crime here but come on Buddy. #dantana773 #60621certified
It's not our city the young ppl been acting out since Lightfoot was telling them they had no right being downtown. It hurt that Chicago spirit.
@@traceyhollingsworth7952 Well If the city had after school programs and various other programs to occupy they time and mind maybe the young people well not as many young people wouldnt be such a terror. they have so muchidle time on they hands. Look at the areas where non melanated people are not the majority they have programs and such for the kids. its all by design order out of choas
Man this list was truly the BOMB
For a short time I drove a fish truck to Oakland CA-- I had to wait for the store to open.
Two guys started to walk up to my truck-- I pulled out my 40. Cal -- they stopped & turned around & split !

I have lived in Memphis for 55 years it’s a war zone now
people born there think that's normal.. they say its not that bad. so sad that they think living in that violence is normal
Memphis is bad. The locals know you aren't from there & watch you. Definitely feels unsafe!
It’s amazing you are doing a video while visiting only 31 states. Good to know about your lack of complete research
Good to know yo mama. The remaining states i been to don’t have high crime. And its 36 now.. we continue to travel. Need to get out to hawaii soon tired of seeing hick states
Can you please give me at least 5 city that are safe to over too,

I realized the glowing tourist and relocation advertisements were straight up full of sh-t !
