Just like our politicians, the news is all owned by the corporations that run this country. It is all completely biased. The fact that anyone takes them seriously at all anymore is pretty sad. Our media, schools, government, and politicians among much, much more is 100% owned by a small group of very wealthy and powerful people. It's scary, honestly.

It's way deeper than that ngl it's more so been ignored rather than normalized and when it's recognized it's usually glorified by people who don't live in these type of environments, culture CAN be a problem but even with that you have to dig deeper, like where did this culture come from and why/when did it become associated with black americans, just saying its the culture is just lazy and can be harmful as most people interpret that as "black american culture in general is bad" which is ignorant because our culture is seen in many places outside of these communities and things don't go nearly as bad for them as our culture has always been more than murder. The problems with our community are complex and complex issues require complex solutions most of the time. I believe funding the education systems, working to better the US rehabilitation systems and providing more mental health resources as there's a lot of mental illness in our community that gets brushed off, there's plenty more solutions that are needed to actually help the community but those were just some ways I believe will push the community forward. trust me it makes me too sad to see my people in this condition and I want shit to get done fuck that blame game shit because the government already knows what's up its just up💯

My dad was a well-known cop/detective in the worst neighborhood in America in the 1960s and 1970s, which was in St. Louis, and made the cover of the Saturday Evening Post in an article about it in 1969, with a follow-up article 10 years later. I'm not sure if this is that particular neighborhood or not. He had stories that would stand my hair on end. Sometimes I can't believe he lived to tell about it. It was like the wild west, urban style.
My uncle was NYPD, actually many were, but the one I knew the best walked a beat in Harlem. He is now passed, but the stories he told were scary. Cops took the law into their own hands often. My grandfather and 5 of his 6 brothers joined NYPD in the 1920’s. My guess is I have more relatives who served on NYPD, with my last name, than any other family. When I was a kid about 12-13, my grandfather used to say, “ if you become a cop, I’ll break both ya legs”. No joke. He looked exactly like the actor who played Eliot Ness.
When he asks the women at the gas station what they should do with the kids in gangs these days. You can see the difference in society. U can see the moms that know what's going on and the ones that don't take the time to see

They won't take the time to look outside of themselves, and if you come across one that does half of the time, they're not from Stl. And those prejudice people are all through our schools and boards. Our school system is trash in Stl, at least for black kids. Speaking as a previous north county student. It's terrible, can't wait to bring the love back home.

Born and raised St. Louis and left back in 2014 to try to change my life. The street would’ve killed me to be honest everyone I knew was dying from ODs getting shot or committing suicide. Quick story: I knew this girl who is a prostitute who used to be my drug dealer until I was introduced to her boss. His name is red and had a few trap houses around St. Louis. One in particular was a little more secret and he liked it more to get away from his family, that’s the main one I would normally meet him. One day I met up with him there for business but this time he seemed a little more on edge, and wanted me to leave right away. I left not thinking of anything of it and said I’d meet up with him later. I found out they broke into the house and shot him and robbed him the same day I went there. It was about an hour after I left.

Out of everyone he talked to about what could be done to fix the city, not a single person mentioned strengthening the family and bringing dad back in the home
Just how might we incentivize dad to act in an adult and responsible manner? The only thing we can do to fix any of this is to pay police officers more, thereby attracting a more skilled employment base. You can only recruit as well as you are willing to pay.
And just how will bringing back daddy dearest to meet Jamal the gangster help? The man has a 50+ body count and hes a hardened criminal. My suggestion? Target the heart of the corruption. Crazy old times. That was 7-8 years ago. My life is better now. I live in the country and it’s so much safer. I could never imagine going back.

@@Danger-yl9my exactly

Right. Missouri is a republican state. Most white people want nothing to do with us or they wanna take advantage of us. They are extremely prejudice.

The feds already have a loooong list of people to work with. Start there. APCs, breaching teams, public executions (just to really get the point across)
If the government wanted to they could've solved this issue 12 times over by now. But they dont. Because its all by design

I live in Los Angeles; Ca. I have relatives and friends who wound up in Prison because of the Gangs they were in. I am Latino and I had a best friend who I went to school with. We would do homework at my house. He was a great student and great athlete. He was very close to my family. My mother would call him her second son. He started hanging out with a certain gang when he got older. He got busted for doing a drive by and killing a gang member from another gang. My father wrote a letter to the judge saying what a great kid he was before he was sentenced. I miss him dearly. I did not want to be another statistic. I always worked hard all my life and now 67 and retired from an Auto and Home Insurance Co. after 22 years.
You grow up in east LA?
@@ompasa9407 No, I grew up in Norwalk but there were gangs that were moving to our school and recruiting new members. My father was an Income Tax Consultant, and we lived in a nice neighborhood. It was mostly White but there were many kids that were druggies and some I grew up with have passed away. SO, SAD!!
@@ompasa9407 All my cousins grew up in either East L.A. or West L.A. and wound up in the Pen.
@@thomasfranco5997 Wow that’s crazy my dads side grew up there in east la none of them wounded up in prison just did bad in school
@@ompasa9407 It is so funny how people say Oh! they must have been, raised by a one parent household. No! they were not they had both of their parents. Back in the 60's and 70's there were many Hispanic Gangs and a lot of rivalry. Even when we had family picnics, we would have fights within our own family which I thought was ridiculous, one cousin was from one gang another cousin was from a rival gang. Just stupid to me. I would have to call my father to break them up. It just sad how they wound up. But one has passed away on 10/31/2021 in prison.

The maine guy reminds of lil wayne when he first started, mixed with gilly when he be speakin. I hope they all make it out. Love
I'm from Missouri, the majority of the people here are humble no matter their lifestyle. Loyalty and honor 100% mean something around here for sure, respect gets respected. Great video, I hope it opens the eyes of the ignorant people that never REALLY learn about a place and it's people. Keep up that positivity!
For sure, I'm southwest Missouri and everyone is mainly just rednecks living out in a rural area, other than Springfield crackheads
Can't say the same for the youngins tho
Truth. They aren't all bad, with 0 consequences from online actions that would not be accepted in real life though.. that's creating a big problem. Most are not mentally equipped to handle social situations face to face.
They are idolizing idiots and blaming their issues on heroes. It makes 0 sense. =(
This apply for Missouri not St. Louis cuz this back door city ain’t nomo loyalty💯
everyone says that about every city. lol
14:34 bro said the most expensive lemonade to drop on earth 😂😂 he not lyin
From the brief time I was in the "Lou", I found a great deal of urban blight, lots of abandoned houses, burned out buildings, extreme poverty. I haven't see that even in that level in Detroit, Chicago, Oakland, New Orleans, or Memphis.
come through kc
You do know what a Lou is right? A place to shit 😂
Its not the poverty
@@citymadecammonah i’m from the town/816. 60’s to be specific and kc fasholy is active. but kc looks a lot cleaner in general and that’s mainly due to the fact we have a better economy and are a city with more money. it goes down in the town but stl as a city is incredibly poor as hell and the city doesn’t clean up shit over there. even here in kc we still somewhat take care of our hoods. but for sure tommy needs to come back and tap in with the real kansas citians, he did a video in the town but was with some out of towner from memphis 👎🏽
Chicago is too clean and nice compared to its neighbors. Idk why people are so scared of us. Legit its one of the best cities in the world. You can see the wealth even down into the hoods. You'll never see a Rolls Royce and G Wagon Amgs rolling through them other Midwest hoods like they do in Chicago. Chicago gets money. People beef over gangs and to solve personal problem, not over poverty. Someone even in a 200k G Wagon will murk you in Chicago if you do them wrong
