In euro cars, hazard switch place is the best way to find out is it CE1 or CE2. CE2 it is always on the steering column behind the wheel. CE1 is separate button in the instrument cluster frame 😉

Just went through a lot of this for my VR swap. Tracing wires, and "re-doing" a lot of the learning that was lost when the mk2vr6.com forum articles went away, but also figuring out some of the information that was never presented therein.
Hey Keith I'm doing a vr6 swap and got a "stand alone" harness trimmed from TDC. Lol I'm so lost and the other part is that there isnt a radiator fan plug on it after the trim. What did u do for that?
@@anthonyalvarez6735 for me, I used the MK3 harness radiator bits and will be using the mk3 radiator fans and thermoswitch, but if you have your MK2 rad stuff still, you csn make that work. Did they just keep your rad harness stuff?
@@dubCanuck1 yeah. It was originally attached but not when I got it back. The mk3 rad/fan assembly I bought had the proper plug but the mk2 plug has 3 wires and the mk3 plug has 4
@@anthonyalvarez6735 that big 4-wire plug runs back to the fan control module (the 6" long brick that has 2 plugs on the bottom and the clear plastic window covering a fuse on the top) which is in the engine harness. The MK3 thermoawitch plug partly runs back to it too. Are those still in your engine harness?
Letter opener works too for the heavier stuff. The one with the spike and the captured razor blade. On the seam ripper, put the "ball" on the inner side keeps the pick from poking into the wiring.
