I'm so glad we have people like yourself in our community's. Thank you
Thank you for that lovely comment. Sometimes I do make videos and wonder does anyone watch them or find them useful ?
Excellent video... very useful as I am currently wiring my corrado again... who knows why my parking lights and fogs or horns dont come on yet... but I will watch this 30 times and maybe I will get it going... 😅
Hope you get your car fixed
Wooow. It’s been years of owning ce2 cars and having some of these wires floating around
Hope this solved the mystery for you 👍

@@stevenharpervw thanks for the videos
This is fantastic, thank you. This was seemingly missing information. We are 1.8t swapping a Nugget Yellow 1990 Corrado right now and the CE2 block was removed last year and we weren't thinking ahead 😅.
I’d love to do this swap too and I do actually also have. 90 rev nugget corrado . I ended up tdi swapping it 😅 what 1.8t engine code , did you use in the end
@@stevenharpervw it's getting an AWP
Mk1s we're simple good design, but as more equipment got fitted the using the fusebox also as the main junction just became crazy with the amount of cables meeting there!!!Random changes between years, my early corrado had heated mirrors permanently on since new, later was connected to heated screen, and the wire was there so I swapped it😊Great video 👍
One top tip is make sure the locking slider (down the middle) is locked many a time the connector lifting has caused all sorts of headaches!
I have watched it Monday, randomly my phone won't leave comments - double watched 👍
I think the mk4 is a very neat tidy fuse box but in saying that maybe it’s not as user friendly as the mk2 is more spaced out
I ❤️CE2 so much 🙂
It’s a very easy logical fusebox. Make sure to subscribe and share this video
steve your video has been the most helpful so far but you did not mention the small gauge black cable with red traicer left dangling . I'm trying to resurect a 1990 golf rallye that I stripped 5 years ago with no faults, its now back together no positive supply to the curtosey light no power to the front fog lamps, the horn relay works but no positive feed at the horn end and the dreaded abs did all come on as it should but now flashes twice then once and stays on. please help
I’ve no idea which wire you are taking about . What colour is the plug . Is it a single pin plug ?
As for your problem . On top of the battery are all the aux connections screwed onto the terminals for both. + and - . Sometimes ( but not always) there is a grounding terminals behind the battery on the chassis leg check that too . Abs oh dear 😅 so I’ve another video showing how I connected vcds ( vagcom) to the ecu to read codes. If it’s the super early ecu it’s flash light codes so let’s hope it’s not that . I think the later ecu that works with vcds has 3 rows of pins the early one has 2 rows . But do check the other video for the abs /vcds fix .
I know how you feel , it’s so frustrating
thankyou very much for your swift reply, I will give it another crack of the whip tommorrow and sunday@@stevenharpervw
I'm from Brazil and I just watched your video which helped me a lot, I have a golf 3 version from Mexico and I use a panel that I believe is from Canada or something like that, it has some basic functions like position light fog light mile lighthouse abs and pad wear sensor I tried to make the wear sensor work, making the appropriate harness, using the brown connector (panel) and a wire created on the f4 port, however I used Mercedes sensors for this test, the panel had no response. I imagine the panel needs to be configured or activated or am I seriously mistaken? thank you for the answer
I think the light will not go on , if the circuit is complete . But when you brake the circuit the light should come on .
@@stevenharpervw So there is a circuit there that doesn't turn on, such as the position light (in this case the low beams) I still think it must be active in the VCDS in some way, now the pad wear one I've never seen any MK3 with this system active (not even the original harness)
@ not sure it would be coded , as mk3 was still very basic . If you Google ce2 and look at the wires of U1 and U2 and compare them to your own car . You will see what functions your car came with. Or which ones actually worked. Maybe there is no led bulb to make it work . Or it’s not for brake pads but is a warning light for seatbelt / boot- trunk left open… etc
@stevenharpervw So the solution is to make some kind of jumper that makes it light up on the panel when the signal is activated, right? or use the digital panels directly but thanks for the feedback and all the help with the video
@ it really depends on what you are trying to do and if the dash board supports it . Buy google ce2 wiring and look at u1 and u2 pins . And it will help you figure out what wires do what jobs
Hello, can I have pictures of the electrical diagrams for the engine of a 1993 Golf MK3?
You will have to Google ce2 wiring diagram
Fusebox faq on Google! You will find everythink you want!
I have an ibiza 6k it has a ce2 fuse box , if i want for example to retrofit the seat belt warning light to light on the dash the plug is somewhere in the fuse box just hanging? and i can somehow connect it to work ?
Yep . Google ce2 and you will get the list of all the wires
Hi, great video thank you, do you if that top right big red immobilizer jumper jumper you mentioned with the 4 pins would make a good 12v source for my custom cooling fan system?
I guess it would as main power comes in and the terminals are fairly big but would you not just link it to the + battery then fuses then switch and then fans
@@stevenharpervw ive got a weird setup because my battery is behind passenger seat and my fan relay is mounted on the firewall. Thanks for letting me know i didnt want to fuck up the immobilizer

Greeting. Can you tell me about the Z1 cable where it goes, and the car is a Passat VR6 B4, I'm converting it to a 1.8 T, I bought it with a cut installation? Thanks in advance for your answer Miladin
Z1 injector power Fuel Pump/Glow Plug Relay Output. Red black or red yellow
Please can you show me the check engine light wiring for my golf mk3 1.8 mono-motronic.I want to knowing the wiring for my cluster to show check engine light
I’m honestly not sure of that wiring . If I find out I’ll repost or make a new video
Hello, how to connect an installation for El Glass, I could not find anything anywhere
I think it might be the AuX plugs
@@stevenharpervw I can't find a diagram of the letters, where should I connect them, the car was with manual windows, but I'm trying to connect them, I bought a whole installation
@@georgigeorgiev8799 D3
@@georgigeorgiev8799 watch my video and pause it if you need help with the letters. The plugs are different colours it’s actually very easy to follow a1 and a2 are yellow and you can’t plug them into the wrong slot because they are different sizes
@@stevenharpervw Thank you for the answer, but the problem is that I am putting a whole installation for EL glass and EL mirrors, however, there are small single sockets that I don't know where to plug in
