Excellent video... very useful as I am currently wiring my corrado again... who knows why my parking lights and fogs or horns dont come on yet... but I will watch this 30 times and maybe I will get it going... 😅
Mk1s we're simple good design, but as more equipment got fitted the using the fusebox also as the main junction just became crazy with the amount of cables meeting there!!!Random changes between years, my early corrado had heated mirrors permanently on since new, later was connected to heated screen, and the wire was there so I swapped it😊Great video 👍 One top tip is make sure the locking slider (down the middle) is locked many a time the connector lifting has caused all sorts of headaches! I have watched it Monday, randomly my phone won't leave comments - double watched 👍
This is fantastic, thank you. This was seemingly missing information. We are 1.8t swapping a Nugget Yellow 1990 Corrado right now and the CE2 block was removed last year and we weren't thinking ahead 😅.
I’d love to do this swap too and I do actually also have. 90 rev nugget corrado . I ended up tdi swapping it 😅 what 1.8t engine code , did you use in the end
steve your video has been the most helpful so far but you did not mention the small gauge black cable with red traicer left dangling . I'm trying to resurect a 1990 golf rallye that I stripped 5 years ago with no faults, its now back together no positive supply to the curtosey light no power to the front fog lamps, the horn relay works but no positive feed at the horn end and the dreaded abs did all come on as it should but now flashes twice then once and stays on. please help
I’ve no idea which wire you are taking about . What colour is the plug . Is it a single pin plug ? As for your problem . On top of the battery are all the aux connections screwed onto the terminals for both. + and - . Sometimes ( but not always) there is a grounding terminals behind the battery on the chassis leg check that too . Abs oh dear 😅 so I’ve another video showing how I connected vcds ( vagcom) to the ecu to read codes. If it’s the super early ecu it’s flash light codes so let’s hope it’s not that . I think the later ecu that works with vcds has 3 rows of pins the early one has 2 rows . But do check the other video for the abs /vcds fix . I know how you feel , it’s so frustrating
I have an ibiza 6k it has a ce2 fuse box , if i want for example to retrofit the seat belt warning light to light on the dash the plug is somewhere in the fuse box just hanging? and i can somehow connect it to work ?
Greeting. Can you tell me about the Z1 cable where it goes, and the car is a Passat VR6 B4, I'm converting it to a 1.8 T, I bought it with a cut installation? Thanks in advance for your answer Miladin
Hi, great video thank you, do you if that top right big red immobilizer jumper jumper you mentioned with the 4 pins would make a good 12v source for my custom cooling fan system?
I guess it would as main power comes in and the terminals are fairly big but would you not just link it to the + battery then fuses then switch and then fans
@@stevenharpervw ive got a weird setup because my battery is behind passenger seat and my fan relay is mounted on the firewall. Thanks for letting me know i didnt want to fuck up the immobilizer
Please can you show me the check engine light wiring for my golf mk3 1.8 mono-motronic.I want to knowing the wiring for my cluster to show check engine light
@@stevenharpervw I can't find a diagram of the letters, where should I connect them, the car was with manual windows, but I'm trying to connect them, I bought a whole installation
@@georgigeorgiev8799 watch my video and pause it if you need help with the letters. The plugs are different colours it’s actually very easy to follow a1 and a2 are yellow and you can’t plug them into the wrong slot because they are different sizes
@@stevenharpervw Thank you for the answer, but the problem is that I am putting a whole installation for EL glass and EL mirrors, however, there are small single sockets that I don't know where to plug in
I'm so glad we have people like yourself in our community's. Thank you
Thank you for that lovely comment. Sometimes I do make videos and wonder does anyone watch them or find them useful ?

I think the mk4 is a very neat tidy fuse box but in saying that maybe it’s not as user friendly as the mk2 is more spaced out

I think it might be the AuX plugs
