i use to work at a body shop we would put yellow masking tape on the connector ends and label them.. takes a couple seconds but can save hours at the end of a big project. especially if youre working multiple cars
I'm glad I found your channel. I hope it will help with fixing the wiring under the dash of my 87 GTI. It has/had the oil light at 2000 RPM (when the oil temp reaches operating temperature) issue that was really an electrical issue, not an oil issue. The wiring has gotten hot and probably needs to be replaced.
Thank you for all the time you took to make this video. I have watched hours and hours of your content. The quality and attention to detail have improved quite a bit. Good job Jake
I used the same engine mount brackets you are using back in 2012 and that $50 downpipes fit in my Corrado. The 1.8T does vibrate more that the VR6 so I used Black Forrest industries stage .5 yellow and G60 transmission mount which lower them. I guess there's just little things that might be different like the tunnel. I learned something new. Keep the videos coming. Great stuff my friend.
Appreciate it Isai Ya the Corrado tunnel is a bit bigger. If you want to do a all wheel drive swap in a mk2. You usually cut the tunnel out of a Corrado and put it in a mk2 to fit the driveline.
Hello from Slovakia, i just want to say that i am impatient to next video. I am glad to waching your videos, also i am thinking about the project like this so that I am thankful.
Helou, from portugal. I need welp. Ta have engineSwap audi a3 8l s3 Ref AMK motor 225cv. He have hornest, for my seat ibiza 6k gti2.0 16 abf? Same for golf mk3 gti.
When will you be putting out your next video? We need you :D My engine is now back together and waiting to get back into the car with freshly painted axles and mounts. Thank you
Hi Jake, great build! Wondering if you can help me please. I’m doing the same conversion. Do I just need the engine loom? There’s several looms in the bay that have big relays etc on them? Not sure if I need them all. Thanks
Good info, thanks for sharing maan! So the cd2 fuse/relay box is a mk3 unit? This wiring seems to comply with fitting a pd diesel 1.9td also to mk1 mk2 etc!
Awesome videos, just finished this series and the VR6, now I'm trying to figure out which to go with. VR6 sounds better but there seems to be more 1.8Ts available and they get better gas mileage. Can you point me in the right direction for keeping the AC, it gets pretty hot where I'm at. Thanks!
Jake truth be told yo just awesome! Can you please guide me to where I can buy a harness adapter to work on a golf mk2 with a 1.8t 20v Engine? Best regards
Hi Jake, can i use the 1.8T AEB or AGU engine for my mk2? What's the change thing? The another question is why not original passat use transverse engine mounting? They are front drive.
Hi from Québec Canada ! Doing a vr 12v mk4 swap in my mk2 jetta i realy need the plug and play harness but no news from pnwce2... do they still Make it?? Thank you for all your tip and videos very appreciate!

Currently watching your videos on this swap. I'm doing a 1.8T swap in my 81 caddy. Curious on what engine management you're using?
my wiring is ce2 so just mk4 apr
Hey man these videos are really helpful with my 1.8t swap when are you doing the rest? And Also what drive shafts did you use? Thank you
Prob finish in the fall. Just used the stock mk2 axles
Been watching all your mk2 vr6 build for about a week. 👌🏼👌🏼 If I have any other questions when I go do the build. Where can I reach you? Lol
You can dm my Instagram.

Does that harness work the tacho also or is that separate?
got a link to the intercooler stuff that you bought off of ebay?
Hey man do you recommend a place to send my ECM to do the necessary delets? thanks
Hi Jake, can i use the 1.8T AEB or AGU engine for my mk2? What's the change thing?
The another question is why not original passat use transverse engine mounting? They are front drive.
Yes any 1.8t out of anything will work. Just have to get the right brackets to mount on the mk3 subframe.
@@JakeRawSon Thank you very much Jake. Thank you for all this. You encourage me.

Killing it Jake! Meant to ask you on your harness: how are you dealing with speedo and RPM? Just using the E&P convo parts?
ya just using the corrado speedo cable for my mph. Then prob s&p digital to analog tach adapter for rpms

Hi, just a quick question did you completely remove the 3 plugs and old harness from the car?
This show's the only wiring I took out.

Just wondering I’m putting this loom into a right hand drive car so am I going to need to extend the wiring to the o/s as the ce2 box is on the o/s
Ya I think a couple of people have had to do the same thing
Cool thank you 🙏
Where did you buy the wiring harness plug and play....

His email is down in the description just tell him what you need and he can custom make it for you
Is this harness adapter available for ce1

Can you tell me if the emission stuff is necessary when you make a swap?
No you can delete it all if you want.
Ok man I saw one of your videos about it and is very helpful.thankyou
Good 👌😉
