I had a substitute teacher in elementary school that had an RX7 with that system on it. It was parked out front while we were loading the buses for a field trip one day and he was letting the students check it out on their way to the bus. As I remember it was fuggin loud. The alarm was almost ear piercing. He got a good chuckle when we would stand close enough to trigger the alarm then scatter holding our ears. I'm pretty sure he was a lawyer in the area that liked to substitute at our school occasionally because his daughter went there. Because there is no way in Hell a full time teacher in my town could afford that car.

I had an issue with my key one day and casually opened my car using a metal coat hanger in like a minute by sliding it in-between the glass and the door. Those were the days and I get why this guy would put an alarm on the thing

One time, 😁 he came out his apartment and told us to stop! We couldn't help it because he had the sensor range up so high, when we weren't trying to trip it, it'd still sense us! After some complaints, he had to relocate the car away from the building, where people walked by 🙄🙄. That still didn't stop us. 😂

Also it would be better if it constantly said intruder or car thief over and over until the person moved away from the vehicle lol.

Vipers are great alarms...are you aware that notifications can be programmed into your smartphone, as well, and not just limited to the key fob warning!!
Not exactly. You can't get the same notifications like in the video. Yeah, the full alarm gets triggered, the SmartStart will send you a SMS, email, and the SmartStart app will beep as well. What you can't get right now (even with the new 5.3 update) is the warn away notifications. So basically no motion alert can be active with the SmartStart.

My factory lock button on the key fob for my 04 Volvo flashes all the amber parking lights and side marker lights when pressed. It's really cool, but it would be even cooler if I could get a viper sounding "chirp, chirp" to go along with the lights. I cold wire something directly into the horn and produce a little "beep" like in my Honda Odyssey when the alarm is armed, but I like the "chirp, chirp" of the vipers or something similar. I may go find an aftermarket siren and play around with it, but if someone knows what I could do to get that unique sound, please let me know. Thanks for the video of your viper and nice ride BTW.
