AWESOME! I wish I had known about this even a month ago. I had my 72c10 short bed ripped off from the front of my house last month. I love that lil truck. I feel horrible that I didn't do more to protect it. Some piece of shit is probably chopping it up and selling the parts. I encourage people to get up on their security game. Secure everything from your car to your house. Life insurance etc. It sucks to take a loss.

Great video my friend I have some questions. How thats it works if I buy this system and I don't live in the US I need to intall it in other country ? Does it needs to have internet in the car all time? How its the communication between the cell phone app and the car? (I know remote control its not problem 'cos its 2 way radio frecuency) but for me I would to not use any keys so more important its the cel phone funtion. The other question its about what happen if you forget your cel phone and remoto control inside de vehicle and its close automatic in a few seconds? Can you have install the app in other cell phone for example your wife to open the car remotely ? Tks for help.
Which country do you live in? The way it communicates is through cell phone signal to gps and gps to the SmartStart module that would be installed inside your vehicle...and yes your wife could use it also on her phone thanks!
Do you have to use the chirp or can you maintain your car's stock lock noises and horn? Basically can the car still function as a stock car with the viper and just make use of the viper products like glass break, proximity, tilt, gps, etc.
I have a lexus and never even use my key fob. The door handle senses me and I can lock the car from the handle as well. So I was thinking the app would be nice without the viper fobs.

Does the alarm module for the alarm kit come with unboard relays for the door locks, trunk, pwr roll up and down windows? Does it detect glass breakage with a perimitter sensor? Can i do a remote start on a car thats equipped with a manual 6 speed transmission? I like to do the install into my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT v6 6-speed i have the clutch pedal wired where i don't need to step on the clutch pedal with just a turn of the key in the ignition as long as i made sure the trans is parked in neutral.
Get the Viper DS4 and Smart Start VSM550 and also you will need more modules for glass breakage and windows. Locks and trunk may require relays
It will work with manual transmission also you don’t need to bypass the clutch because it has both options auto and manual transmission

What I want is, when I lock the car with my factory car key, the alarm should be activated, and deactivated when the car is unlocked.

Next to useless if it doesnt have motion detectors around and under the vehicle that silently alert on the cell phone.

@@tonysautosalondallas7511 Great! I ordered a Viper 5305v system brand new on Ebay for $129.00. I called a local stereo shop and they quoted $500 for install and Best Buy is charging $239.00 to install the alarm and the engine starter. I won't have the lock actuators but that is okay.

Since the gps is part of the alarm doesn’t it make it easy for a professional thief to disconnect the gps? My alarm control died one day while i was out in the mountains and i had to call a friend to tell me how to literally steal my own car. He he had me reach under the dash and look for a black box and told me to rip it out and i was able to drive home . And this was back in the pay phone days . Would it be that easy for a criminal to disconnect the gps ?

The Viper Remote start is made to work with manual and automatic
totljag1 I based on other systems I know you would have to take some extra precautions and make sure the car isn't in gear before you engage remote start. I would believe the system bypasses the clutch safety switch and start the car w/o clutch depressed. Again you would have to sure the car isn't in gear other wise it'll jump off and go hahaha, but I'm pretty sure the system has a safety precaution to check if car is in gear somehow.
