This deserves so many more views. Great quality review
My God, a PROPER REVIEW! THANK YOU! I'd love to see some Apples to Oranges comparisons; AT vs. MT. Specifically the Duratrac vs. the Firestone MT2
Duratrac are my benchmark tire. Having been released in 2009, there might be something better now but I'm afraid to try anything else.
Would like to see a review of the new Duratrac RT to see how they compare. I like that they strengthened the sidewall but the tread seems to have gotten slightly less aggressive.
Goodyear tyres are nice but no comparison for Bridgestone tyre Bridgestone is amazing
Duratrac is a phenomenal tyre, especially aired down, it turns my Hilux to a tank. Overall grip is excellent. After long deliberation I settled for Duratrac, as I don't carry recovery equipment, so I rely on a good tyre. The only observation is that they do get louder with wear. Tread life is excellent, after 50,000kms it is still going strong, I think 80,000 kms is quite achievable. Duratrac must be rotated every 10k to ensure even wear. Very good overland tyre.
I’ve got them on my 2005 GU Patrol TD42, I agree aired down the patrols unstoppable, as you said it turns my patrol into a tank
Increasing the air pressure in the tire reduces internal friction heat (rubber generated)... the higher the pressure, all things being equal, the lower the temperature of the tires...the safer the tire (less likely to fatigue or internally fail).
The best tyre purchase I ever made!👌😎👍
