is it possible to merge what's already on your iPhone with the data you want to bring over from your android? I used to have an iPhone and it stopped working, but I backed it up on itunes, so I got a Samsung Galaxy and have been using that for a year. I just bought another iPhone that's coming in a couple days. I want to know if I can restore my old iPhone data from a backup *and* merge everything from my android to the iPhone so I can have old texts that I had on my previous iPhone and texts from the android I was using for a year, all on my new iPhone.
Excellent tutorial! When I purchased my iPhone 6 on Jan 2, the clerk tried to tsf my data from Android to iOS for me, however, it wasn't working for her, so I was going to finish it up at home. She didn't tell me that I would have to completely reset my phone back to the beginning. So I reset my phone, as you instructed...and now I just have to wait until I get access to some cell service to enter the pass code for my Apple ID authentication and complete the set up process. Technology and I do not always 'connect'...but I'm closer to having my new phone set up!! :P LOL Thanks again for your help! ☺

i couldn't get my galaxy note 4 to connect,what i found is that i had to go to the build number in settings on the droid and tap that 7 times to get the hidden "developer options" tab to appear.once i got that to appear,i went in and disabled debug mode,backed out and it then connected.was crazy,i then followed this video and all is good.Thank You!
If your transfer keeps failing. On Android make sure your Wi-Fi is turned on & turn off cellular data (just on Android). This will do the trick. Good luck!
