i spent ages trying to get my contacts from my iphone to my sony, the options that it was giving me via just the phones an puging the phones in directly just werent woprking, i spend 2 hrs backing up my iphone to the icloud an still it wasnt working. i done this and BAM!!! its quick its easy and works!! thank you so much

Great video. Believe it or not, in the process I was able to recover the contacts which I had lost in my iPhone (All of my iPhone contacts were deleted as I had to do factory reset and my backup was corrupted. Luckily, iCloud had all of my contacts, which I noticed in this process). Now, all of my contacts are moved from iPhone to Android phone successfully. It is a very easy process, thanks a ton for the video.
I finally have a smart phone, was an iPad junky. Stressed out over moving the contacts. This explanation is simple, easy and every step is clearly seen. I particularly liked to sloe and highlighted areas for better follow along. I will be moving contacts from a iPad not an iPhone. Hopefully it will work, will come back later and let you know!

I found the same issue....but, i switched from chrome to firefox and it worked like a charm.

Great job! Worked like a charm. I didn't see anything after I clicked on export, so I looked in my "Download" folder it wasn't there. I looked in Chrome downloads and found the file there. I dragged it to my Download folder and continued with the instructions. If you use Chrome go to the upper right hand corner and click on the 3 horizontal lines and click "Downloads" in the drop down box. Hopes this helps!

My brother bought a Samsung Galaxy S8. It's his first Android phone. He was always an iPhone guy. Just loved iPhones. But Apple not making changes other than increasing the price tag, he decided to switch to Android.
The USB connector that Samsung provides to transfer data from old phone didn't work. The S8 kept freezing when it's trying to find data to transfer. We tried a few times and the screen went blank.

I get this error, when I load up the google contacts (old version) on browser for importing as a vCard file: Sorry, your groups could not be loaded (error 8).

Contacts toggle is green on the iPhone setting. But, contacts are not showing after logging in to iCloud from the browser.

If you you have the SIM card in the I phone, do you need a 2nd SIM for the android phone for the transfer? Or just leave it in the I Phone?

I recently bought a Sumsung S7 Edge phone, and used the smart switch app for transferring data,especially contacts from my iphone 5. I tried this 3 times, and everytime the contacts, phone contacts, did not transfer over. I got so frustrated with this and deduced that Android was not for me and subsequently bought another iphone, which i have since also returned anticipating the release of the upcoming iphone 7. But also coming soon is the new Note 7. I am still interested in getting an Android device, can u advise what i need to do to ensure this previous problem does not happen again if i do buy the Note 7?
