This is the best method I’ve encountered so far. The iOS transfer app doesn’t work for a slight bit. Great to see someone providing a helpful guide without the use of any 3rd party software. A big like from me.

Excellent tutorial. Haven't gotten an iPhone yet, but just created an Apple ID and iCloud account, followed your video and have all contacts from my android ready and waiting. I thought new iCloud users were given 5gb of free space?? Only got 1gb. Now I just need to figure out how to easily transfer all my SMS and MMS text messages for free. :)

Thanks for the extremely helpful and easy to follow tutorial! Wasted a lot of time dealing with AT&T's mobile transfer app, which only transferred 10 of my 522 contacts, and trying to get advice from AT&T customer support...local store advised they don't have the capability to assist and corporate customer support only provided me with an equally useless text message link.
Without having to go through 1 by 1, any advice regarding how to:
1) Figure out which 42 contacts were unable to be transferred?
2) Reconfigure the manner in which contacts transferred from Google's platform to Apple's? For example, contact "Doc Smith" was under "D" (for Doc) but transfer process changed the emphasis to Smith thus categorizing it under "S"

Thank you so much for making this informative video, i deleted an email address and all my contacts are gone, after watching your video i followed step by step now i have successfully imported my contact and it is reflecting in my icloud as well, that too without resetting the whole phone. (few youtube video were suggesting to use move to ios app and reset the whole phone first).

so helpful!! my new iphone was connected to my wifi but the transfer app my Verizon store downloaded wouldn't recognize it. this saved me a return trip to the store!
You are such a life saver 🌷🌷 but when I opened my google contact my contacts were not there although It supposed to be synced so I used one of this backup my contacts apps and send it as an email to my self then download to my pc and imported to google contact and then continued with you steps 😅 it took my like 4 hours to figure it out but I did it ✋🏻
