These 3 vids are awesome, Scott! I am totally sold on this app to integrate my backing tracks with lyric/song/set lists. Can’t wait to try out using multi-track backing tracks with my Mackie DL32S to really take control of the on-stage mix(es) AND to further leverage the use of Midi to control my HX Effects and my Triple Crown 100 with Stage Traxx. - Chris
Great video Scott! One thing that I have found very useful for using the settings when every song starts playback or stops or ends - I send a command to my Behringer XR18 (using the WIDI bluetooth module) to mute the vocal reverb and delay so that when I talk to the audience between songs, they can understand me better. It works very well....
I'm having a hard time making this work on my MR12.😢 Done everything as instructed in vid I think. Tried Widi master connected to both midi in and out on mixer. Midimittr picking up widimaster fine. Tried specific midi commands as well as midi learn - Stagetraxx just waits for midi event. Really frustrating! Any advice greatly appreciated!
Very helpful, learned a lot from the series! Thank you Scott for all your effort of putting this all up and thanks a lot to Peter for this great app. The community and support of this app is second to none. ❤
I’ve watched so many midi type videos that now it’s starting to make sense and yours always tie everything into an understandable format! Thanks for all your help.
These are very bloody good, well done. These have definitely swayed my decision to consider purchasing Stagetraxx 3. Thank you for taking the time to show case this app.
So much easier than BandHelper. This may be the app I've been looking for. Now to start the process of converting my entire repertoire. (ugh) Thanks Scott!
Yeah, I’m starting the massive conversion from Set List Maker over to Stage Traxx 3. At least they’ll be one lot of all multi-track, as Set List Maker I needed seperate song files if I want drums in or out.
Scott, you are very thorough. Thanks for putting the effort into creating time markings, all the helpful links, et cetera. You explain a lot very concisely. You set the bar!
Finally the third video! Thank you Scott for this mini series! You definitely convinced me to use ST3. Now I'll just wait if I'll be the lucky one or will have to purchase it myself 🙂 Thank you again, your channel is awesome!
This video series was awesome Scott! I just found Stage Traxx a few weeks ago and it's just so far above what I've found in any other iOS app (coming from using Multitracker, which was my previous favorite). There's just so many things you can do in this app with this MIDI. I'm a drummer running backing tracks from a Yamaha DTX Multi 12 and I have so much control it's crazy. My favorite so far though is being able to just hit a pad and increase or decrease the track tempo by 2% with each hit. It's nice to have that flexibility in a live situation where you might want to push things a bit. And it's so subtle I can do it gradually throughout a song and no one even notices. But it can sometimes make playing with backing tracks sound more natural. Anyway, great videos! I'll be back for more.
Three weeks ago I had no knowledge about how to use tracks to play my music. Thank you for all the information presented in a pleasant and concise manner. Now I understand that very well.
This is great stuff! In the past, the long or difficult learning curve for things like this was so time consuming, many of us would just avoid it because we really just want to play, not spend countless hours fiddling with gadgets (I used to be an field engineer that set up program logic control systems (PLC), so I'm not a Ludite, but playing is the point, not fiddling) But this app makes it very attractive and has convinced me to update and modernize my rig. Great video series Scott, you do a great job of making it crystal clear.
I’m really enjoying your video’s Scott they have given me some great ideas I just need the funds to get all the bits I need, keep up the great work my friend 😊
Wow. I watched all three videos and I am impressed on the possibilities. And thanks also to Peter for the extra give away. Many thanks to you Scott for taking the effort to put this videos togehter. I really appreciatie it. ❤❤❤
Now I gotta hold out to buy it myself to hopefully be a lucky drawing winner! Even though I'm deep into the backing tracks, I may seriously spend the time to multitrack these vs just the mixed down backing track. The nerd in me wants to go all in, but we will see.
Thank you, Trying to do the "one man band thing"... started with multi-tracker and have recently been messing with loopy pro, gonna watch your videos again, This might just be the answer.... so much to learn, so little time.
Great video series Scott. I have always wanted to know how to control Midi like this, obviously will be different with the gear I have but this got me started. I did watch all 3 videos and recently subscribed cause I like your content. Helping me a lot. I appreiciate you doing these. And I know I'm late to the game for the contest to win Stage Trax 3, but for $20 bucks sounds like it's worth it.
DUDE! Never have a I liked and commented on so many vids from one RUclipsr. The value of your videos is off the charts! Hey, what button do I press to make people not be flaky?
Scott - thanks for taking the time to offer such a comprehensive look at this app. Well done sir! It looks like you’ve reviewed multiple apps that offer similar capability. It would be cool to see a comparison pro/con video from your perspective.
Hey Scott, thank you for all three videos, very informative, really looks like a very cool app they must have, looks like you’re cold is gone must’ve been the peanut butter tea, lol.
Amazing, going to check out the app as our keyboard player is leaving the band so I’m investigating the best way to use tracks live. He uses a midi controller keyboard so I dare say his parts could be captured in midi for playback which is mind blowing.
Great video series Scott! Your channel is a breath of fresh air and exactly the kind of content I need. I'm still working on figuring out how to make this solution work with the Axe FX III. I think I've got everything set up correctly on iOS, but the MIDI listen function doesn't seem to be as straightforward for my amp modeler, since it's not picking up the FC6 pedal commands or preset/scene changes via the buttons on the front of the rack unit (I'm assuming those are sysex commands, since there's a lot of MIDI settings on the AFX). I think I'm gonna have to program it manually and am still troubleshooting it, but would love to hear from anyone else that's done this successfully as to what settings they needed to adjust to make it work.
@@ScottUhlMusic I got it working, but I had to program everything manually in the app. I don't think the AFX will work via the "Easy MIDI Method" that you use for the Line 6 unit. 🤯 dude, brilliant!
Yeah, we do this as well to automate Autotune on our UAD Apollo twin. Super rad!
Yeah me too. Great no reverb when talking. Now I wanna setup my Eleven Rack and find a way to do lights
