A list like that where you put everything together is really good, i've been watching a lot of youtubers talking about expenses on this car but none of them make a list where you see everything together, this video actually informs you well and i haven't seen another one like this, 2 years later but thanks.
The transmission leak is a known problem on these. When they leak too much, the transmission fails. Mercedes extended the warranty on the transmission specifically to 8 years and some higher mileage amount.
Thank you for the review. I just picked up my 2017 GT-S, 14,700 miles, yesterday. Silver with black interior. Stickered for $148K new picked it up for $77K. By far the best car I've ever owned.
How to fix Alcantara steering wheel for $1 or less in 3 easy steps. Step 1: Get microfibre cloth if you don't have one. Step 2: Dunk it in warm water with dish washing liquid (couple drops on cloth) and wring it so its still damp not dripping all over. Step 3: Like after a shower when you rub your hair dry with a towel, do the same on the wheel all over. Let it dry. Congratulations you now have a like-new furry, non-greasy, unmarked, Alcantara steering wheel. If this does not work, I will send you $100.
Thank you for the video and the transparent information about all of your costs and maintenance issues. I just saw a 2016 with 33,000 miles listed for $77,000 in LA and Woodland Hills at a dealership. Having had three Mercedes SL‘s in the past, I was thinking of getting it, because it too is a convertible. However, I think the safer way to go is quite frankly to go with a new Corvette. The performance is similar and still a convertible, and it will be under warranty for the next three years, which is a tremendous peace of mind. Having also owned a C7 Corvette I know that the new generation is even better and more dependable for about the similar price. Greatly appreciate what you put out there to help us make our decision.
Can relate when you said that trans replacement costs as much as your first car. My first car was like $4k and that charge would kill me lol. Luckily, I have another car now with little to no issues so far in owning it
Great videos man! just watched this video and before that the one you made 2 months after getting the car. really appreciate the insights and sharing the experience youve had with the GT S
Thank you for the information and transparency. I was debating between this and a 911, I like this car more for the look, but it sounds like it's more headache for maintenance
go drive a 2020+ Shelby Cobra (GT500) put it in Track mode, and drive it hard, then compare to all the cars you have driven $75K-$100K price range, and then tell us what you think
I love the idea of an AMG GT. But man alive, they have huge fricken issues. Everyone I know has had MAJOR problems with them. - Happy low mile CLS 550 with a RENNtech tune… owner.
I’ve got a 18’ GTC roadster; maintenance and operating costs (gas, tires, insurance..) make it really expensive to own. It’s almost over-engineered at the cost of reliability.

Wonder if there is a lemon/law issue that would just take care of this regardless of year

Really thinking about grabbing one - a friend has one and Its the best car I ever drive.
The problem they keep devaluing….the last one I check 50k
I’m trying to find a GT C , S or Coupe want to trade in my c63s so hard to find a good one.
I appreciate your transparency and real life, laid back video review. Thanks for this video dude 🙌🏾
Bummer seems like that just busted my dream for a “perfect” car. This is awesome review for a reality check
It's an issue on the first gen only. They addressed the driveshaft/ tranny issue on the facelift models!

That's awesome, congrats on whatever you decide to go with, an exciting venture!
Not sure you can compare a Corvette with a Benz…. Not on the same page especially cornering / handling.
How's the corvette ? How much did you get it for?
Probably the best vid on gts ever. Thank you. Update??

Good to hear you got a more reliable car!! I loved my Scion TC. I had a 300M before that. Wasn’t the best haha!
Great videos man! just watched this video and before that the one you made 2 months after getting the car. really appreciate the insights and sharing the experience youve had with the GT S

You helped me decide if I wanted one, and the decision is I’m getting one😂. Thanks for the video 👍🏾.
Did you get one? If so, what's your experience with it?
I love this video and everything thought you had
was it the orignal warranty? Since this car is 2016
excellent video - its between this or a 911
Great honest review
Appreciate it!
Thanks!
Thank you Scott!!
Good review bro . 💯
Great review, could you let us know how much you sold the Gts for? Thanks
Thank you, very informative. May i aks how tall you are? I wonder if this one is more roomy than a Jaguar F-Type. Thank you!
Wait, you sold the Scion! 🙁 You’ve had that since I’ve been following you.
Yeah I’ve had it since 18!
What car you planning for the future?
My dream car is a Lamborghini, so I am going to continue working towards that and hopefully someday be able to get it 🚗 💨
I just got billed $2200 for a battery. Same car. Not cheap.

It’s a mustang lol no one cares

I own a 2016 GTS and the only problem I had was with the electric adjussment of the steering wheel in 20.000 miles.
@@carel20081 thanks for your positive feedback. I'll add it to my comprehensive thoughts.
It actually pisses me off that this car is half the price even when converted compared to Australia
Why did the dealership charge you it’s supposed be free of charge
Cup holders not designed for US drinks 😅
some guys spend money on pants. Some spend it on cars. This guy picked cars.
I do want to make a purchase but I’m a little skeptical about the amount of problems they have.
