I own one of these too. Storage is actually very good for a true sports car. So, I don’t get his gripe. Visibility does have some limitations but again not unusual for a true sports car. I do agree that its not one of the better visibility sports cars. The front end length is a problem parking. I had a Corvette with the front camera and it was a life saver. I am always on edge pulling up to a front end curb to park. But since I know its a very long, I am conservative on pulling forward. On the ride, it is truly a sports car ride. I don’t think he’s being fair since his car is riding on larger rims than factory and it’s been lowered. As for start up, I agree that its great to have the full exhaust at start up. You can make this happen though. Before putting your foot on the brake pedal, hit the start button and that fires up the center console controls. Select the exhaust or ride setting you want and then put your foot on the brake pedal and hit the start button again. It’ll start up and wake up the neighbors like you wanted it to. I don’t get the gripe with the seats. They are extremely adjustable and have lumbar air supports etc. i love my GTS. It’s a head turner. It’s a beast of a performer. I smile every time I get in it and even when I get out of it, I smile just looking at it as I walk away from it.

    This is the dumbest review.
Not enough storage - it’s a sports car
    Visibility - it’s a sports car
It starts in comfort and it’s too quiet - it’s an emissions thing.
Ride isn’t great - it’s a sports car, you made it worse by lowering, thin tires and the wheels.
Seats are uncomfortable - it’s a sports car

    Regarding dislike #3, the startup.
It is incorrect that you can only start in Comfort mode.
I own this car, you can start it in any mode you want, including Sport+ or Race mode which will both start with the exhaust flaps open.
    Here is the procedure:
    1. Enter car
    2. With your foot NOT on the brake pedal, press the start engine button twice.
    3. Select your desired mode. Note that the mode button will only be lit after pressing the start engine button twice.
    4. Put foot on brake, press start engine button and the car will start in the mode you selected.
    Hope this helps!

To get a louder exhaust start-up, try putting the vehicle in accessory mode (press the start button without your foot on the brake) to turn all the electronics on, without the engine being on.
Then press the exhaust button on the center counsel. Since all the electronics are turned on, the exhaust valves will open up. (if the valves don't open, try pressing the start button twice without foot on the brake. And then press the exhaust valve button)
Once the valves are open, just start up the car like normal by putting your foot on the brake and pressing the start button to turn the engine on. This should allow for a louder start-up since the valves are already open! Even though the vehicle is starting up in comfort mode, the exhaust valves are open like they would be in sport+ mode.
    Hope that helps!

  • @dudwtfomg

The reason the car always starts in comfort by default is likely because of an emissions and sound regulation loophole that existed before 2019 in which manufacturers were able to get away with crazy exhaust notes due to the decibels being measured at the setting in which the car started up in and not the highest setting: Race mode.

  • @molloarden8938
    @molloarden8938 3 года назад +1

The firmness of the seats is a valid point, as that can be changed without altering the purpose of the car, though too fluffy seating will likely offend others. Sports cars, by definition, have poorer visibility at the helm and less cargo space.

I'm a bit late to the party, but how can the seats be improved? I know there are comfort seats for the GT, but these sport seats look 10x times better.
The seat is the only thing that concerns me with buying this car, and if that can be fixed, in case I don't like them stock, that'd be a huge help.

Appreciate the vid, Everyday Supercars. Complaints aside, however, isn't this a matter of wrong for right car, I wonder. Anyone who has ever enjoyed the AMG GT isn't concerned about trunk space, likely wouldn't lower the vehicle, and could choose among seat options. Marcus Rotaru has the right tip about dramatic start-ups on cold mornings.

This is a fare review, my buddy just bought this car and I got to drive it this weekend. The seats don’t do it for me either and the suspension is stiff even in comfort mode. Perhaps he has not driven Ferrari, Lambo, Audi, McClaren when considering interior space? In a nutshell, he bought the wrong car for his preferences. You can get an upgrade providing cushier ride. Unsure why visibility is an issue as again, most 2 seaters, convertibles excepted, have limitations. Lowering the car increases need for care and this applies to ALL vehicles. Saw a Top Gear where they had to get planks put across the exit for the Ferrari to exit the underground parking (gosh I miss those guys!). I have a 2017 GTS, no mods, and it is a classic design and, mark my word, will increase in price dramatically at some point.
