Thank god for you, looks amazing.
YA no ya did not mean too do that, lol, love the flight at night. So love you and camera CREW, the best.
I pulled the trigger. I used your link
289.00 with tax now, that's what Im talking about, right there BNF 😊
Thanks, Brian, I bought one after watching your video. It set up easily with your assistance, and I did note in your video it seemed a bit loud as it flew. It is definitely NOT a second plane, but it is fun.
FYI. Ordered Fms a-10 on your link. Your videos really were great on it. Watching the long ones kinda makes me feel like I know the both of you well. Like friends😂
I had a nitro blue and yellow Decathlon 30 years ago, yes I have been flying RC for a long time. It was one of my favorite planes. I will have to pick one up from your link. Thanks for the great videos, no one does it better than you. Appreciate the thoroughness and set up videos 👍
hello from Belgium, bravo for the video. not easy to film, the result is excellent😊
You’re nasty on the sticks man.
He makes it look easy to fly like this, even for an experienced rc pilot.
I think everyone who flies can agree.
He’s flying this plane “full send” completely smooth.
Well done.
Thanks! Very nice of you to say!
Beautiful plane Horizon! Thanks for sharing Brian and Megan!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for being here with us!
I need my G-suite just to watch that thing cut. Lol. Very cool plane.
AND- it’s fast! You know, I thought we had a great setup with 2 grass runways- til I saw yours! To quote Tim Allen’s great line, all of a sudden I need one of those… (class G airspace stands for GREAT, right?)
yeah! you getting around yet, Hands?
@@BrianPhillipsRC I’m all over it! You must have missed our new videos!
Brain fantastic review and flying. Camera Crew fabulous work. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff! Hope you guys are doing well!
Man that plane looks awesome...thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful plane!
It sure is!
Hi Brain great plane. You can see that you have a lot of experience with flying. And it's great that you can fly in your own garden, you have quite a lot of space. I often watch your videos, always beautifully filmed by your wife. Rc is a great hobby. Happy flying and have fun with your hobby. 👍😃📷🛩👍👍👍👍
If you had the choice of this plane or the FMS 1400mm Kingfisher PNP which one would you choose? I am steering toward the FMS but still not sure?
They are VERY different planes. I suspect that if you end up with Kingfisher, you will eventually want a Decathlon. They fly seriously different (which I wouldn't have believed if you tried to tell me this before I flew this plane)
bprc.me/Decathlon
bprc.me/FMS_Kingfisher + bprc.me/AR620 VS bprc.me/Timber (sorry, I had to throw this out there...better than Kingfisher, but they too are both good - Timber 1.5m would be a great option)
Hey Brian this is not about decathlon . on the sws turbo timber , the wing servos need to be checked . The servo are mounted to servo covers and only glued . Mine had a broken mount. The glue gave way. Simple fix , but needs to be reinforced big plane
You need to clean the schmeg off your transmitter Brian!!! LOL Love your content by the way, keep up the great work!
I agree! It's hard to clean these things ;) LOL!!!
Love ya Brian. Keep on shouting things into the air of our entertainment.
Awesome airplane absolutely incredible definitely buying
Hey Brian, cool plane and great flying as usual. The following is off topic. What about adding flaperons to the aeroscout? If I lose the aleron Y and use maybe channel 5 for one of the alerons. Do you think I'd have to program the receiver or could I do it all with my ix12?
I like it!
Me too!
Thanks for another video Brian, your camera crew does a great job!Question for you or the RC community that follows you, I am currently flying with a DX transmitter. Thinking about upgrading would you recommend upgrading to the NX line or the IX line? Thanks
I recently moved from a DX6e to an NX8. It was all my budget allowed for.
I've been nothing short of impressed with the durability, ease of transition, and features- and I LOVED my DX6e.
Oh, and the range is SOOO much better NX Vs DX.
All I know about the IX line is that it's a similar layout, but runs on Android OS. I just feel like that adds unnecessary complexity to a device I'll be using in light rain, chucking in my trunk, banging around while dangling from my neck, etc.
If money is no object, go with IX line.
If you want a solid upgrade to the DX line that'll last you a while, but you're on a budget, go for the NX line.
Hope that helps.
Either way, make sure you use the BPRC links when you're ready to pull the trigger 👍
Hi quality flying....You should do move vertical aerobatics like u did here.
-Shooting for moon doing vertical rolls.
-Huge wide loops. Multiple roll huge split S & cuban 8s
-Touch & gos
Hey Brian. Love your videos. Nice decathlon. But question. You ever think having throttle reverse gives people a crutch to landing relying on it kinda like safe. Instead of learning to land like a normal plane would have too. Just a thought.
awesome :-) Thank you :-) Good Job Meagan!
Best landing yet 38:46 ya baby, I love it. Thank god it has RThrust.
Thanks for all your videos but this has always bugged me. How can Horizon Charge only $20 more for a BNF over a PNP when an AR631 by itself cost almost $90? Just doesn't make sense. Is the AR631 $70 over priced? Thats what its telling me.
Hi Brian,
Can you do a video comparing the Eflite super decathlon to the OMP one?? That would be so informative! Thanks for ALL your great videos,
George Negraiff
Hey Brian! Great video! Anyone thoughts on MotionRC planes? Would you do a video on more of them? I love their jets and their NEXA planes and would love to see more. Keep up the good content!
Brian has reached out to Motion RC several times. They won't work with him, because he tells it like it is.
They're only into working with "sales reps". Not truth tellers, like BPRC 👍
Would you say this is more nimble than the turbo Timber evo and twin timber?
This Decathlon is more aerobatic, but you HAVE to fly it that way, since it flies very "loose" whereas the Timbers all fly more stable. This is closer to the Timber X than the Turbo Timber Evo, fyi.
@@BrianPhillipsRC thanks, looking for something that’s a step up from the valient , but with an option for the wings to come off easy
I won a raffle and I'm new to the hobby. I have won many planes on this page including the Timber 1.2. I have the chance for the Decathlon would you say get it or something else? Also do you have an opinion on Dynam planes?
Recommend for medium experience?
Hey Brian will you be doing a review on the XFly-Model T-7A Red Hawk 80mm RC EDF Jet PNP???
Hopefully! It's on our short list.
The prop sounded out of balance badly, or it just has a unpleasantly noisy motor.
Did you move the cherry tree? Usually you cant come in at that approach so low.
Could you imagine Brian making a prop balancing video, lol 5 hours long
Hey Brian, I love your channel and I watch all your videos. They’re awesome but you need to slow down every single plane you fly like a pylon race. This is a scale beautiful Decathlon flies. Very nice if you fly slow I’ll be able to. I appreciate the beauty of this airplane.is going so fast I can even keep an eye. I would like to see some very slow flies and very nice scale landings if you can
I hope they release the P 39……
NIIIIICE 👌
It is!
watching videos of this plane feels so weird 😂 smae name, im going to have to get just because of the name lol
Very nice plane, please mount bigger wheels to make it Sahara proof.
Hey Brian are you in Ohio somewhere? Kinda looks like it. Maybe I can bring some planes and do some fan/subscriber flights that would be cool. 👍😎
No flaps.E=Flight can suck it.. at least put it in their mouth and rinse it off a little bit. But for real super cool Livery, it's a nice size plane. I will buy that for sure.
Another plane from China! Outstanding......and painted foam to boot! Super Duper.......................
E-flite -24. Overpriced balsa planes or overweight plastic that all fly the same..
Eflite has fantastic planes. You guys have something better for us to fly, I imagine?
Great video as always. Nice little plane. It really needs flaps tough.
Decathlons don't have flaps man :)
I want to learn to fly rc planes from you.
Hello, beaucoup trop rapide comme vol, un accu 3s aurait été largement suffisant.
Vole comme un racer de Reno et pas comme un Décathlon.
Superbe deco 🤩
"tend to fly a little bit 3D-ish"... Need to learn what "3D" is. The only 3D maneuver this plane is really adequate for is hovering on 4S packs, and it's not amazing at it like an actual 3D plane. 3D is post-stall; harriers, waterfalls, etc. The ailerons are out of the prop's thrust, so there's not much authority for when the plane is stalled, so rolling harriers aren't really going to be a thing either. Anyways, this isn't a 3D plane in any way :)
E-flite! I love Decathalons! Why would you make this plane so ugly by adding a gray front windshield and sunroof?! So ugly on a gorgeous plane! SMH…
totally agree! How hard is it to make a plastic framed battery hatch with a clear windscreen?? I have the OMP Decath..it was only $329 PNP, absolutely solidly built and beautiful, flies almost like a 3D plane if you like( very light and floaty), or just cruise it around as a sport plane.
I agree "glass" would be VERY nice! Wonder if we could add that?
@@BrianPhillipsRC I bet you could pull off a creative modification Brian ! -:)
Not quite sure why you complain about it not having flaps, it’s a semi scale representation of the real thing… don’t go butchering the model just to get the ailerons to droop… IMHO.
He in no way butchered the model my man.
Just the opposite.
I think he is saying it’s not a beginner plane bc this plane comes in hot landing.
He is 100% correct.
This is a killer plane, but not best suited for a beginner.
It flies fast and lands fast.
We will have to agree to disagree.
Happy flying my friend! 🙂👍
It doesn't land any faster than any other high wing without flaps it slows down just fine plus slips are way more fun than using flaps anyways
I believe we elaborated on this.
I realize the full scale plane doesn't have flaps, but where we fly, and with such springy landing gear bogeys (not sure if they're called bogeys on this type of arm???) I had a hard time slowing it down, which causes some ground handling issues. Of course, with practice, I'll surely be able to get her down better.
To be clear, this is more a site issue than a plane issue, which correct me if I'm wrong, I also mentioned.
Hope this makes sense.
Looks boring, who asked for this plane?
Reminds me of the MAUL but without flaps. The full size doesn't have flaps but eflite should have added them for the RC folks I think.
I think RC folks would have crucified them for making a scale airplane with a non-scale function. Just like they do when they leave out a function that exists in the full scale.
Highwing Hobby releases another... Highwing
Smh...
Oh yea... That other rc manufacturer has released SO MANY OTHER models in 2024...oh wait, no they haven't. smh...
@@rcsquabbler69 fanboi?
Cool..
Just pointing out the obvious lack of models from other manufactures while HH continues to bring the heat. @@redwineisfine
@rcsquabbler69 Aaaand im just pointing out that highwing hobby re-re-releases the same stuff, as well as nothing but highwings..
Meanwhile, motion rc, banna and fms... come with more variety. Variety... imagine that. Variety.
Sr-71, massive flop
Habu 50mm, not that bad
Deaco, turbo timber, timber, night timber, draco jr, apprentice stol, timber twin... Viper 70mm, Cherokee, f1670mm...
All re-do models.. or highwing variations.. so.. i ask you.. what is highwing hobbys innovation?
Boring plane
I know the decathlon does not have flaps but put fl-aprons on it with tundra tires Wow what awesome bush Stol adiabatic plane !!! Do it Brain!!!!! Please...
