    Bought mine yesterday at local hobby shop and maidened it today, flies great and loads of fun, was 18mph wind but it didn't care. I did land it with safe and landings were perfect. Did not fly with safe but with 25% expo

    Great review!!!!! I just ordered mine today and I can’t wait to get it assembled and set up. I’ve always been a Decathlon fan. I think everyone should have a Cub type plane in their hangar. Just cuz they are so much fun to fly!!

    Love all your content. So helpful. Just finished setting up the Freewing F-16 70mm per your recommendations. Maiden tomorrow with differential stabilators, flaperons, and more. Thanks for what you do for the RC community!

    I love mine, it’s a very power efficient plane. I run mine on a 3200 4s and I can safely get 10 minutes with a modest 3- around and or go arounds. Awesome plane 🇺🇸

    Question for u. Does it fly like the timber x?

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 месяца назад

      Not really, they're not very much alike.

  • @caleyd123
    @caleyd123 4 месяца назад

    Why didn’t the super timber get equally dinged for unpainted foam?
    Although I’m more interested in why it didn’t get dinged for bouncy landing tendencies (a case of be careful what you wish for I guess)

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  4 месяца назад

      The Super Timber uses bush plane metrics. It didn't get dinged for unpainted foam for the same reason the F-16 didn't get dinged for plastic servos: it keeps the wing loading down. Each aircraft type is evaluated based on what kind of aircraft it is, the class of aircraft it belongs to, etc. You can't reasonably compare a 64mm EDF to a 90mm - the features and abilities of a 90mm jet far outclass that of a single 64mm jet. That's why we have different review metrics for different airframes.
      Also, Jon explained why the Super Timber didn't get dinged for bouncy wheels in the video you're referencing. ;)

    Love everything about that plane except those Fugly Grey Windows on it. Takes away the beautiful paint work thru out the plane surfaces

    Do you need a certain transmitter for the reverse thrust??

      A Spektrum radio is generally required.

    I never use Dubro wheels. Anything smaller then 4 inches, i like to go with Dave Brown treated lites.

    Dam John , I just might grab on of those , looks like it would work off my local field , Grass , your thoughts Sir ???????????

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  4 месяца назад +1

      Oh it'll have no issues on grass, so long as the grass is relatively manicured. Make sure you're holding back elevator pressure on landing to avoid flipping over.

    • @TwistLosi
      @TwistLosi 4 месяца назад +1

      I fly mine from a grass sporting field and works really well as long as you hold back elevator for take off and landing like John said.

    This plane would have made me giggle 10 years ago. Now I get bored with it and have major buyers regret.

    • @TwoBrosRC

      That's unfortunate. This is one of our favorite types of airframes.

    Let me rephrase
    This plane is a bit heavy for my preferences in an rc model

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  4 месяца назад

      It certainly doesn't fly like it, but that makes sense.
