I love how they threw in the "mistakes" thing like the ship shape and the quarters being different, because they knew that people would write in to complain that things don't look right :P haha!
But then they cut the scene... and everyone moaned.
@@user-vh6ts9uf6c Red Dwarf changing shape is mentioned in an earlier scene when Hollister comes out of the captain's rest room and is confronted by the medical doctor. She mentions how the ship's now identical to its original design plans before the JMC made cutbacks.
If no other television had ever been made but red dwarf, it would all have been worth it
for me doctor who and red dwarf yes i agree
Well said
He started tap dancing? lol love cat
They shot him for tap dancing!
@@Seishin_Tengu That's inhuman!
“Jail’s not so bad. You can make sangria in a toilet. ‘Course it’s shank or be shanked” - Scruffy
gotta love the cat
This scene was massively cut down in the broadcast version of this episode, guessing that's why this is up here.
No wonder, this was boring as shit.
I never knew that Kryten had saliva.
Now you know.
@@Pauldjreadman Oil based.
Or that he's susceptible to psychotropic drugs.
Kochanski they shot him
Cat all because he did a tap dance? Thats inhuman lol
Why wasn't this apart of the actual episode? It isn't even on the DVD, at least in Region 1.
Doug Naylor had a habit of writing episodes which never stayed to their allotted 29 minutes for a BBC sitcom, so an axe had to fall on many bits of material to try and squeeze it into their allotted 29 minute allowance.
I've found that this scene does air on Tv now, but most likely due to changing standards
I think It in my DVD and I've had mine years. It just the shows boxset
I remember this scene being shown when they first aired it. But then again, I'm in the UK.
"That is no Moon..."
isn't that just a moon?
i luv these guys dont dis em! they are sooo kwl!
woop woop
3:29 - death star floats by outside lol
no, its just a small moon.
@@viridisxiv766 That's no moon.... It's a space station!
It's an asteroid.
0:00 - 1:50 - 3:46 - 3:54 was edited and trimmed down due to time.

HAH well spotted mate never seen that xD
Not the normal version but funny
2020 and look at that max quality 😬
240p looks alot alot alot better on a smaller mobile phone screen. You can actually see things
This came out in 2008
This must be the extended version of the scene which the scene was edited and trimmed down for time.
Yeah, think this is from the Xtended feature-length version of "Back in the Red", which is available on the Series VIII DVD.
I dont know what prisoner of war film cat saw but it was a different one to what kochanski saw lol
The movie was "The Great Escape".
Feels like Big Suze from Peep show was based on her lol
Cat reminds me of Eddie Murphy in "vampire in brooklyn"
He's pretty much James Brown + Little Richard.
@@TheZapan99 That's a spot on description!
240p upload with a price tag of way to much
Man that minute or so when Kochanski was talking was the longest unfunniest minute of my life
Didn't really care much for Chloë Annett's longer hair in Series 8 compared to her Series 7 hairdo.
Should have stopped after series 5.
Who asked you?
@@user-vh6ts9uf6c I did..
@@MassiveLib Oh well, one 'like' in a year. You must be correct 🙄🙄
After Series 6 rather, can't not have "Gunmen of the Apocalypse"
@@AndrewChapman it was passable...
Kochanski is painfully unfunny.
Since they brought Rimmer back, Kochanski felt wasted for most of Series 8. But then, so did Holly despite returning as Norman Lovett.
