5 CHRISTIAN PARENTING TIPS | HOW TO RAISE GODLY CHILDREN | BIBLICAL PARENTING 2020

have recently gotten so many questions on how I raise my kids as a Christian Mom. In today's video I go over 5 Tips on How to Raise Godly Children. I am a mom of a preschooler and two toddlers so it's been a journey to learn these skills with them. I know there are so many Christian Parenting Tips and Advice out there but I feel like these are too important not to share! I have been a Christian most of my life and when my husband and I decided to have children, I knew I was going to have to learn how to teach them to Love God with all their hearts. It's been a bumpy road learning and trying to figure out what works but these top 5 things will work for any child at any age:
1. Teach them to pray, and do it together
Its so important we don't just pray the same prayer to say that we prayed. We need to teach our kids that prayer is a lifeline. When we pray to God, we are talking to our creator, our father, and our best friend. This is our foundation to having a relationship with God.
2. Teach them to Praise and Worship
When we worship to God we are gaining His favor and entering into His environment. God loves it when we surrender our hearts and worship him. When our kids watch us do this especially consistently it shows them that is a great and normal way to build our relationship with God. We do this at least 5 times a week in our living room and every time we go for a car ride.
3. Teach them Bible Stories
Whether your child is a toddler or a teenager teaching them bible stories is a great way to build their faith. Child like faith is the best kind because they believe with all their hearts! Their eyes fill with awe and wonder when they hear of all of the amazing and miraculous things that God has done.
4. Do Bible Activities Together
Kids are so hands on and it truly helps them learn when you make the lesson more fun. Sometimes I have a hard time teaching my kids until I found kidsfaithkrate.com they have a monthly subscription box that has a craft and lesson every week. 5. Be Careful What You Allow Your Children to Watch
There are so many things I do not let my children watch. The main topic I mentioned in this video was about Witchcraft. We do not allow anything to do with witchcraft or Halloween in our house because when you do allow it, the devil now has a legal right to come into your home. It took me a couple of years into my walk with God to learn and fully understand about the supernatural world we live in. Once I received that revelation, my conviction soon followed. God revealed to me that it was wrong and we stopped allowing it into our home. I was so shocked at how many things my kids were watching that had witchcraft and evil thing hidden into the storyline. We as Christian Parents need to be very careful to watch what we allow into our children's eyes, ears, and hearts.

My wife is not as on board as I’d like and gives resistance I don’t know how to approach it. She would rather watch horror movies and read scary stories than worship and it’s rubbing off on my daughter. Today I asked her if she believed in God and she gave me this kinda look and smirk and it broke my heart please pray for my family that the Holy Spirit comes into our home.
Praying that you and your wife will have a heart to heart conversation on this and you will be able to speak to her about what she believes about death and what your child should be learning about it. I wasn't sure from your comment if you mean that your wife or your daughter smirked at the idea of believing in God.
It makes a difference how old your daughter is. You may be able to tackle explaining the truth relative to the lies she sees on screen. Demons are real, but horror movies show them with a lot more control than they have. For example Satan is not the ruler of hell he is an inmate there. God gives us hope. Jesus is Light. Scripture tells us to focus on what is lovely. God will never leave or forsake us if He is Lord of our life.

we definitely need to be sure not to allow any sinful exceptions into our children’s/family’s lives !! a little leaven leavens the whole lump, & we need to ensure we are not giving the enemy a single foothold ! No cracks in the armour of God! No crevices in our lives that would allow that slithery serpent, the devil, to sneak through. It’s so crucial we stay on top on things that might seem “small” or like it’s “not a big deal” ! Love you all !

And i am so happy that God opened my eyes to the meaning and had me stop my son from participating but it was sooo good to open up conversation with him about resisting what the world wants us to be VS what God wants for us. And now he tells everrrryone there is no santa the blessings are From Christ and there is no good in halloween. Children know nothing about self-control other than that taught by parents and teachers.
Therefore, the mistakes children make in responding to life and their ups-and-downs, can only be accepted in good spirit by parents and teachers, since children have no understanding of what is driving them.
If children want something - they WANT something right away and wonder why they cannot have it. There is nothing more in the minds of children than this. Children see something they like - they want it.
It is cruel to tell children roughly: "No! You cannot have it," their entire system is insulted and assaulted. From earliest babyhood, the training process must be initiated by logic and reassurance - affirming the rights of children to feel secure within their environment. The sense of security of children should be developed by explaining the right way to express their wishes. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE - not irritation or anger, must choose the words which tell children why they cannot have what they want. Children will hear the message when given in unconditional love.
When delivered in anger, it provokes the deepest ego-drives of children and begins to take form as resentment - overt or hidden or a sense of deep seated frustration which taints the Ego (the guardian of individuality), reducing the natural sense of inner validity of children. Children need to possess this sense of personal validity and should not be subdued or destroyed.
It requires parents or teachers to point out, very clearly, that other people in the world also have their needs, their rights to their possessions, their desire for peace and pleasure. No one, not even children - or adult - has the right to upset another person in order to obtain their own satisfaction!
If another child hits your child and makes him cry, it is only natural for the ego-drive to want to fight back - he is programmed to defend himself against the other child.
It calls for parents and teachers to point out that a "payback," revenge in conflict, only escalates, bringing more pain to children, and for this reason, "payback" is entirely pointless.
Better to LAUGH and turn away. And rather than allow the irritation and hurt in the mind to continue, better still to take the problem to GOD in prayer and ask for the hurt to be removed from the consciousness of children, and seek a means of reconciliation.
Children should also be taught to take time to understand that all children are equally children born of the Divine Moment. When children are spiritually receptive and can make this procedure of recognizing their spiritual kinship with all children and all living things, and the "rights of children equal with each other," into a habit, they will be given the greatest spiritual gift possible. In such a way, is the ego-drive weakened by the practical daily application of unconditional love, while the central "I"ness of children remains strong and self-confident.
Children should be taught the benefits of laughter.
Therefore, skilled and insightful teaching is absolutely necessary to steer children into an appreciation of the rights of all people - EQUAL WITH THEIR OWN RIGHTS.
This is the spiritual law which should dominate the home and the classroom. Any other law by which to judge circumstances is faulty and lacking in balance.
The best teaching will rely - not on the "because I say so" attitude - but on a systematic reference in every circumstance to "unconditional love" and the equal rights of all.
At the same time, children should not be indoctrinated in "self-sacrifice" since this type of caring must be willing and born only of the spiritual perceptions and goals of the individual.
Self-sacrifice is born of spiritual enlightenment, of a higher road to follow, of denial of the little self to remove the Ego barriers obstructing attunement with the universality of God. True enlightened Self-sacrifice brings a spiritual consciousness to the heights of joy. There is no sense of loss in any form.

I am of another faith ( I am Jewish) and it was very interesting for me to see how many points we agreed upon: praying and making G.od an active and intrinsic part of our life through prayer and studying the bible together and talking about and to G.d every day.
On a side note: We also stay away from stargazers/ mediums,... as they channel evil and like you we avoid them at all costs.

Hi! It is my first time hearing these, I mean ofcourse witchcraft is evil, but I didn't know watching movies about them is also bad. This now includes shows like Sofia the First or Little Pony, right? I feel guilty, I really like Harry Potter and similar movies. I’m really curious if for Halloween you do trunk or treat? We have a lot of local churches that do that and are biblical. It allows our kids to still get the candy and to dress up and play pretend but take all of the scary bad stuff out.
No we don’t, instead we do a fall festival set on a different date not centered around scary themed activities but more like hay rides and such

I absolutely love Harry Potter and was really looking forward to letting my son watch it as he grows up. I really want to be a better Christian so can you please tell me even if we tell our children this a make believe and goes against Gods way for us etc etc like you would with the fairy god mother. Are we still not able to watch this? Or am i just trying to make up an excuse for my sin ??
I totally understand and everyone has their own own convictions so first and foremost make sure you pray about it. In life a fairy godmother is not a real things but wizards and witches are which is why I won’t personally let my kids watch Harry Potter. Watching the testimony of John Ramirez really helped me understand the dark spiritual power of witchcraft and the dangers of cultivating young minds with it. I highly recommend looking him up ❤️

I’m new to having faith and being a follower of Jesus as well as being a new mom. My dad he doesn’t celebrate Halloween either and having a child I want to do those fun things like dressing up and searching around for eggs but it isn’t worth the “fun” if it’s a sin against Jesus. I would like to know what are other ways we can have fun with our children without sinning against God as followers of Jesus Christ when these “traditions” come?
Churches in my area have dress up events on October 31. If this does not violate your conscience, trunk or treat events can be celebrations of light and kids can have fun and get candy.
You can have Easter eggs without paganism or lying to your children too. Just tell them an adult hides the eggs and this is a game we are playing. There was a special egg hunt my mom would do with putting items in numbered eggs to represent things in the story of Jesus's death and resurrection such as a little bar of soap for the washing of the disciples' feet and such. You would go over the account for each part after they find the eggs.

Why do Christians continually say “well... that’s Old Testament” the word of God is alive! God is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. He’s the same! If he changed, he wouldn’t be God!

I’m with you on the last tip but I would take it a bit further. We don’t want to watch or listen to anything that is not honoring God and celebrates sin. Such as the new Amazon Cinderella movie.
Oh and one thing I would add is we don’t want to diminish the fact that Satan is real. So like I am not opposed to JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis books as they’re Christians, but I am opposed to other popular writing that includes sorcery like Harry Potter. I would explain to my child what things mean and why we don’t watch that stuff either because eventually they’ll learn they exist on their own and a sheltered child isn’t necessarily a prepared child.
What about roadblocks?????? and cartoons that have demon like characters?
It’s all about the context being used. We watch super book all the time and it had demons and the devil in it obviously because it’s about the Bible. Now if there ever a cartoon with those little devils on a shoulder whispering to do something bad I’ll change it and turn it into a learning opportunity for my kids to understand why it was wrong. There’s so many things these days that are so bad for children to watch we try to limit as much as we can.

Punching your children is also good for parenting. The best example is Proverbs 23:13-14 "Do not withhold correction from a child,
For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with a rod, And deliver his soul from hell." This implies that God wants people to hit their children. Therefore, it's good to beat your biological children if they commit bad things (sins for example)
Tip 5 is how I feel about Disney. Disney is involved with alot of evil things and when ppl speak on it they get called theorist lol. There's alot of symbolism involved so I'm gonna cut Disney out.
Also man made holidays such as Halloween , Christmas, Easter. They're all pagan but that's a another Convo for a different day because alot of Christians like to argue about Christmas and Easter
