At first, Drax laughed maniacally as he fought prison guards in Vol. 1. But in the end, he laughs as he dances with children. He no longer finds joy in being The Destroyer, but has made peace with the loss of his family and once more finds joy in being a Dad.
Well, he also laughed maniacally fighting the guards at the Orgoscope lol

I also never really realized he saw mantis as a stand in for his daughter. I mean it was right there in the surface but it doesn't really hit you until he watches her leave.

I loved how before learning of Rocket's past, Quill was refusing to kill anyone. But after learning the torture that Rocket endured by the H.E, Quill was more than willing to kill everyone involved.
An EXTREMELY understandable "We're not killing anyone" to "Kill em ALL" pipeline.
Like how we should kill all Mexican cartels?

Nebula and rocket did have a connection. They were the only two guardians during the blip. Everyone else disappeared.
Yes. They were together for longer than any other of the Guardians.

I almost cried in the theatre seeing Nebula start to dance. One of the best arcs in the MCU.
I almost cried, when Peter reunited with his grandfather.
She danced in the Holiday Special.
I almost cried when she cried over Rocket surviving. Such a great character arc!

I dug that Groot was acting really shy when he told Gamora he liked working with her. For all that Quill lost his partner when the oiginal Gamora died, Groot lost the only mom he ever knew based on how she acted around him during Vol. 2. He didn't want to push but he clearly wants to connect with this new Gamora as much as Quill.

Yea that scene warmed my heart. I think Gamora realized then how much that crew actually loved her.
Another small but heart warming detail, nebulas wings and blasted from the opening fight scene was very iron man inspired. It's easy to forget that she had a strong connection with Tony
Something I didn't even consider when watching this the first time is the fact that Nebula and Rocket were the only guardians who survived Thanos' snap. They were all each other had for 5 years.
Rocket cry broke me, cried so much in the cinema. Absolutely love this cast and guardians are my favorite in the mcu❤

If someone had told me I’d be crying over a cyborg rabbit… with spider legs… who’d named itself Floor… I would’ve thought they were crazier than me.
It's the voices that touched everyone to match the animalistic look.
for real, My mom texted me asking me if I liked the movie and all I said was "They got me crying over CGI Animals"
Floor's reaction was extremely hard for me. In 2009, my Wife & I were out walking our two dogs, Betty & Jo. Betty was suddenly attacked by our Neighbor's Pit Bull & while she obviously spoke no words, Jo's mental and emotional overload, the complete shattering of the happy innocence that is the right of all animals, was the same.
I ended up attacking the Pit Bull with my bare hands & saved Betty's life, but Jo was never the same. She used to love other dogs, but after that she went berserk if one got anywhere near Betty. She was terrified that her Big Sister would get hurt again. It was heartbreaking to see.
First, WE ARE GROOT & now I LOVE YOU GUYS. Groot is the heart of the Guardians.

When Rocket said “can I come” and it cut back to the scene, it really felt like he was going to die, I was fighting back the tears 😭

24:24 it’s even funnier when you know that Chris Pratt ad libbed the f bomb. The first f bomb in the MCU and it’s not during a battle but Star Lord losing his temper with Nebula.

Rockets background story had me in tears the entire time and when he meets Lylla in the afterlife had me crying in tears and I still tear up every time I see the scene

@@Silver5kull It's the most expensive marvel introduction to a character (Rocket) solo movie or his guardian team. These 3 movies is his first chapter. Along with infinity war and endgame🙂
I wasn't able to watch this when my friends went, but I caught a screening myself and it was one of the best movie experiences ever.

The alien that is made to fall in love with Drax is played by Benjamin Byron Davis, who is best known for playing Dutch van der Linde in Red Dead Redemption 2.

In a deleted scene, it is confirmed that the H.E. didn't die with his ship, but was rescued by Drax at the last minute and was locked in the Knowhere prison, doomed to live the rest of his days in the same squalid conditions he subjected his test subjects to.
Deleted scenes aren't canon, he's dead most likely.

Year and a half (No Way Home).
So all three volumes covered everyone’s back story. Peters, drax, gamoras and nebula in the first film. Groots new story started in volume 2 as the og groot died in the first. Second film was more of Peter and mantis back story, and groots new origin story begins. Then you have infinity war and endgame to which is the fate of og gamora and the beginning of past gamora. Then the holiday special where Peter finds out his sister is mantis and finally volume 3. Rockets origin story and how strong their family had became. Full circle

Cosmo is such a highlight for me despite not really being in the movie. It’s because I’m a humongous sucker for dogs lol.

This is my #2 movie of the year behind Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. BUT, if you are an animal lover, it is a VERY difficult film to watch. I actually didn't see it in the theater, and I don't even like animals that much. While 98% is just implications, about 45 seconds is graphic. That said, I just loved this movie so much.
This film is very doctor moreau

What's with the sound? Sounds like they recorded the sound itself of the movie instead of separating the sound from the movie.
Many people do this when reacting/reviewing a movie that recently came out. It’s because the copyright system is more strict about use of clips of recently released movies, especially larger companies like Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, etc. It’s annoying, but the reason is understandable. Now that the movie has been around a while, more high quality clips will be popping up around RUclips.

Storm, I'm afraid that's it for Guardians central MCU content. Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldaña have already declared they are done with Marvel movies. Maybe we'll get a scene here or there with Rocket, Adam Warlock etc, but probably not for some years.

After Lyla telling us that basically all 3 of the 'Guardians' movies were Rocket Racoon's origin story, it would be *Criminal* to not have at least ONE movie with him as leader!
As an Animal lover & owner of 4 dogs (3 Rescues), this was a very hard movie to watch at times. Animals are true innocents, blameless moral agents & violating that innocence is one of the darkest things we can do.
Especially with little Floor. When she is screaming, "Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now!" That's total Mental & Emotional overload. It's heart-rending for me to watch.
Back in 2009, one of the dogs my Wife & I owned, Betty, was attacked by a Neighbor's Pit Bull. To save her life, I had to attack it with my bare hands, but our younger dog, Jo, was standing there having a complete meltdown, just like Floor. I can't think about either event without struggling to hold back tears.
I think Guardians are the best of the Marvel movies. I am a 62yo 5' 11" 248lb toxic male by todays standards I guess but this movie really got to me. First I understand its a Fantasy Science fiction but did anyone else just want to give Lyla, rocket, flour and wheels a happy, loving home for life ???

Torturing humans is done real messed up stuff... Torture an animal that can talk... That is a whole new level of sad i didn't know existed.... Damn this movie had me absolutely sobbing everytime one of Rockets flashbacks came up

didn't like the humor in this one. glad the christmas special made up for it.
but in both that special and this drax says dancing is for idiots. he met his wife, who wouldn't even tap her foot to the beat. but, he's a dad, and dads do idiotic things for their kids.
I hate how drax has been treated in the mcu. Only thing he’s done is kill that dude in VOL1 that was also in captain marvel. Apart from that he’s solely there to say stupid shit in the middle of characters talking to “add humor” and also to remind us that there a family 😂 Adam warlock was also a waste for me, hopefully he gets more time moving forward

Decent movie especially for Post Endgame Marvel. Far too much focus on making Mantis and Nebula ENTIRELY different characters. Disliked Nebula being all sentimental....too much change too fast....but Mantis as a leader was doable and pretty funny a couple times. Still just a bit too drastic a change to seem natural. It is unfortunatly the lamest of the three. The music choice BLEW. Volume 2 holds the honor of best soundtrack....and volume 1 is damn near a tie with it.

In the movie "Star Trek: Insurrection", there's an alien ambassador with a stretched face for some of the time, because he gets frequent cosmetic surgery!
In the comics, Lulu and Rocket are a couple. In the animated cartoon series, Rocket visited his mother and siblings at least once on-screen.

In the holiday special, Drax, was tickled by bullets! Yet here, his head reacts to being hit with a rock! Why? Sure it is bigger than a bullet, either lead or copper, but it wasn't tossed with as much force. 🤔
The guy that got scalped by Peter? The actor that plays him? I've never seen him play this type of character before. Though his character died, I wonder if it felt like an upgrade from playing his "Superstore" character? 🤔
