I love how you show both looks (right and wrong) side by side. Really helpful video, because I love cardigans for cooler evenings and spring/fall weather transitions. Love your energy!
I actually just purchased a thin navy blue cardigan and it still has the tags on it. I cannot decide what to wear it with. It was paired with a tank top in the pic (I purchased it online), but they were out of my size. So now I am left with a navy cardigan (my first) and a cute macrame navy tote bag which may be a bit to large for my 5’3 frame. All at a discounted price. I believe the two week return policy is over now. Any advice anyone? I think the material is a little irritating, which is another negative about purchasing online. I have very sensitive skin.
@@vals74 I have a light cashmere sweater that is itchy. I usually wear it over a long sleeve button-down shirt. I'd tuck it in as shown in the video...if it is thin and short enough.
i will never give you thumbs down…you are smart and creative with an eye for beauty, balance and proportion..you know what you are talking about…you show us visually how outfit looks in person….you are so helpful…thank you
You are so cute! And you are very diplomatic! You never offend heavy girls. The language you use is helpful and never offends people who may have concerns about their weight. I appreciate it because I am so skinny that people think they can be offensive the other way, like I don't know how skinny I am; I would gain weight if I could.
Elizabeth Felts Olmsted I am constitutionally slender. My mother , grandmother, aunts and everyone on her side of the family is very slender and good looking. Family on my father's side are heavier and many of them have tried to skinny shame me - if that's a word. They all want to be slender and yet they think it's okay to criticize and comment on my physique. As I've gotten older I've realized it's jealousy. Any family, friends or strangers that comment on your weight are, most likely, unhappy with something (whether it’s physical or otherwise) in themselves. Happy and confident people don't feel a need to go around trying to make others feel bad. You're so lovely I can't imagine someone making insulting comments to you. But for me, I realize it's a kind of backwards compliment and I think when it happens you should realize they envy you and it's a compliment.
Hello there, first of all I wanted to tell you that in addition to the valuable advice you suggest, what I like about you is the sense of humor, and it comes naturally.
I love dusters for my petite frame, they are so elongating. I think the least flattering lengths on petites are the thigh-length cardigans, I try to go either above the hip bone, or below the knee.
I absolutely love your videos. The only petite style guide that actually makes a difference. There is no other out there that I ever find useful or stylish combined and you are both! Thank you!
seriously wonderful videos. love the right and wrong side by sides to actually visualize why something works or doesn't. sooo many things I have always thought about being petite looking in the mirror but could never put my finger on why or why not outfits looked right or wrong. shopping has even become easier because of you. Love all your help. thank you!!
I am enjoying your videos so much! You have tackled almost every issue I have with my chunky, 5’2” figure! I cannot wear heels because of foot problems, and I would love to see an episode around flatter shoes: ballet flats, boots, sneakers-thank you for all the great tips. You are darling!
Thank you Chi, your videos are so enjoyable and chock full of great information! Also you're so kindhearted the way you teach these principles! I really appreciate all you do!!!👏😀
Chi I love your videos! There are no videos like this for us short girls that are so informative. This information is so needed.❤ May I just suggest that it is cropped cardigan, not “croppless”
Before I am cutting the fabric for my new cardigan that I am going to sew, I have to watch this video once again 😀to find the perfect length, best wishes from Switzerland!
Thank you, I am 5ft 3in, older and a bit top heavy but I am learning sooo much from your videos. I have a small problem though, cant do the heels any more, foot problem, so am trying not to look dumpy. The knowledge you have is amazing.
Thank you so much! You made my day! I have many cardigans, but I obviously wear them in a wrong way. I tried many combinations you suggested, all look just perfect in me. So I have many new outfits. Thank you!
I love your videos!!! As a busy mum of two young kids, I've got into a bit of a style "rut" but your videos have given me lots of inspiration to dress more stylishly again :) I love the idea of pairing a cropped cardigan with dresses and skirts - why did I never think of that?? Thanks so much!!

I've seen several of your videos and this one is my favorite. I now will buy a pair of faux or coated pants, I've never thought of buying them before. I can see on you how cute and youthful they are.
Dear Chi, congrats, excellent video. Thanks, for your very helpful info. Yeah, it's frustating, "the midsection problem" always limiting me to create many trendies looks and the desireable 1/3, 2/3 proportion. Although, I'm not overweight I don't know why I never "look good" using belts. It's sad because belts are so beautiful and the kind of accessories that elevates your outfits. Love the beautiful touch of humor that you always use in your videos. Thanks⚘
HI Tatiana- Thank you so much, and, I totally understand where you are coming from. I'm an apple shape so I always carry my weight on my midsection and I use to stay away from belts too. I will make another video on how we can better use belts in our outfits to hopefully help women like you and myself!
Your wardrobe is amazing. Can you please make a video of where you shop (stores/brands) and about all the basic pieces one should have in our wardrobe. I want to start a whole new wardrobe that is more classic, stylish, functional (can be mixed & matched)

Oh my gosh! I found this channel yesterday... I cannot believe I have not been here before! I also may have binge watched so many of your videos today 😅 but I'm all the more stylish now!!
This explains why my black duster cardigan gets lots of use but my pink short cardigan has been sitting in my closet for at least two years now... Excellent suggestions for pairing!
Many great videos! It would be helpful if you put links below for other videos you mention so it was easy to go there AFTER finishing the current one. Also, my daughter is petite 5'1" and I am a bit taller than the border at 5'5' but often regular sizes overwhelm my frame. However we have a slightly short torso, and arms, narrow shoulders and curvier hips. Sometimes lose which parts of your videos match us, especially shorter torso. Thanks!
I love your video as a short girl (5 ft). I have binge watched a ton of them this week! I am not crazy though about the tucking your cardigan. I dont find the untucked versions very bad, en the tucked in versions look weird to me. I agree that the cardigan shouldn't be too long, but if you don't like them as a layering piece you could opt to have them open, or open the lowest buttons up until over the waist line of the skirt. I like the open options and with boots!
Yes! I need some help with this very much. I have developed arthritis in my back so I have been buying light-weight bags. I don’t even carry my bag into stores anymore. Just carry my little purse. Can be very annoying when you need something and you left it in the car.
