Just to clarify, after the Hi-Point hit the steel target, it was pretty much done for & I really had to baby it before each test to get it to fire. So although it kept going, there was a lot involved that you don’t see & it probably wouldn’t have been useable in a real self defense scenario. Just to add some context. I bought the .45 for a throw around/fishing gun and was actually surprised how accurate it was and how light the recoil is with that chonky slide. I recommend that for the next one
Dude, good excuse to destroy a gun for a video, but i wish you would've used its lifetime warranty for a new one to test with..then you would've been destroying a brand new gun!
A lot of people try to blow up high points with barrel obstructions, or incredibly hot loaded rounds, but because the hi point is NOT locked breach and uses the heavy slide as a delayed blowback mechanism, makes the high point INCREDIBLY resistant to blowing up from a barrel obstruction or excessive barrel pressure. The pressure from a blocked barrel would just blow the slide open, and possibly explode the case, but I've seen videos where WELDING the barrel shut won't even cause the gun to explode. The barrel usually bulges from the bullet getting completely stuck in there, but the high point will basically never explode.
The fun thing about these videos is: There are many videos like this but it doesn't get old.. keep on man and don't you worry if the coming videos were already made by others. It is still super entertaining! Love your content!

ONE of their worst weak points, using the firing pin as an ejector, but I called Hi Point and they not only sent me one, they sent me two new firing pins and springs !
You get what you pay for to an extent. The cost vs features is usually way off balance. I'm glad Hi point makes affordable pistols that will function well enough for some people but I would still try to convince someone to try to find a deal on a more comfortable and reliable pistol like a Smith and Wesson, Ruger or even a Taurus G2 or G3

For people who don't have alot of money but want a handgun for self defense the Hi Point pistols ain't that bad a choice. I would get a 45 version or 9mm Luger if recoil is a problem for you. What I've noticed from these reliability test is guns like the Hi Point or even the famous 1911 have that style of trigger that goes inside the grips. Mud gets in there and makes the trigger hard to pull but because the Hi Point is striker fired it seems to be a little bit more reliable. If mud gets between the firing pin and the hammer on pistols like the 1911 it's pretty much game over.
Aside from the dirt and dropping test, nobody would expect it to last after being blasted by a shotgun, plugging the barrel, throwing it against a steel target...crazy situations that almost NO GUN would survive. I trust my co, a good gun and well worth the money. For what you put that through, a glock or FN or smith and wesson would fail as well. I did enjoy the video, though... thank you.😂
I've heard for years People call Glocks "Throw away Guns" that the Gangs use in Drive-bys. Why throw away a $600.00+ Glock when you could use a $150.00 Hi-Point? And yes, I have several Hi-Points, LOL!
I don't know about looks my only complaint about the hi point is the lack of a slide release people bitched about the glocks look when those square bastards came out

But I plan on getting a hi point carbine to just keep in my daily driver for a get home rifle that I am okay with leaving in my truck for extended periods because they can handle that and if it can't then its still a cheap replacement
In my honest opinion I think for the money a taurus g2c or g3c is well worth the few dollars more than a high point. Better features, more capacity and easily concealed i own a bunch they never let me down. When times were good I paid $189 for a brand new Taurus g2c. I just bought a new G3c for $270 well worth the money.
I really thought these guns were a joke till my buddy bought one and shot thousands of rounds through it. Shot fine when he sold it. I wouldn't want to carry one for duty but if it's all I could afford for home protection I wouldn't hesitate to have it.

The hi point has a lifetime warranty no matter who sends it in lifetime
That was pretty cool, now let’s see a video on the Shockwave 👍
Are we going to ignore that perfect throw LOL ever since I've learned that I can slow mo in RUclips video I want I've been abusing it but that throw looks so dope in super slow motion and his voice and laugh is also pretty funny
They're good throwaway pieces. Kinda like the tracfone
You need to watch demoranches plugged barrel video, you will be even more surprised I promise you
They’re not as great as people make them out to be. There’s a relatively good chance you’ll get a lemon. You’re much better off with a name brand pistol if you’re seriously using it for self defense. Hi point for screwing around, sure.
@@lesterparker1594 I didn’t saying anything about them being reliable or anything about buying them for self defence, i said if his surprised with what he thought would be a barrel obstruction then he will actually be surprised, when he watches what it does take to stop a round from a gun
I am a fan of good creators getting millions of followers algorithms are not being kind to you or truthful I bet you have at least 300,000 followers they just don't show on your channel. Great content thank you for all your hard work all this can't be easy to do maybe fun but not easy.I can't believe that throw wow I couldn't imagine doing that to my Nighthawk G.R.P. have you seen demolition ranch he poured concrete in let it dry and it still ran.
Slide sticking issue? You know they have a lifetime warranty on them right?
Aside from the dirt and dropping test, nobody would expect it to last after being blasted by a shotgun, plugging the barrel, throwing it against a steel target...crazy situations that almost NO GUN would survive. I trust my co, a good gun and well worth the money. For what you put that through, a glock or FN or smith and wesson would fail as well. I did enjoy the video, though... thank you.😂
Weld some rebar to the end of the barrel for some good catastrophic failure footage.
Every HiPoint owner: Look how he massacred my boy
He didnt drop it on a rock, he threw it at a rock.
I've heard for years People call Glocks "Throw away Guns" that the Gangs use in Drive-bys. Why throw away a $600.00+ Glock when you could use a $150.00 Hi-Point? And yes, I have several Hi-Points, LOL!
You could buy 3 hi points plus bullets for the price of one glock 19
Why destroy your hipoint instead of sending it back to the factory for warranty fix/replacement???
I’m guessing you didn’t actually watch the demo ranch video on hi point barrel obstructions if you thought that puddy was going to kill it.
Demo ranch guy is a POS
@@jayoutdoors1534 how do you figure?
This is nothing new. But still enjoyed watching this.
Great video for the money can’t beat it
I feel like I’ve watched every one of your videos 3 months before you post yours
I love your channel man
I know you’re just sweeping a camera but I flinch and get distracted every time you point that weapon at me.
send it in for the warranty and i would really like some one to do this to a clock
I can only image how successful Hi-point would be if they could bring out a design that was vomit-inducing.
You mean is not
For me that would be the yeet cannon
@@shadowopsairman1583 not really and worse looking than a Glock.... personal preference
I don't know about looks my only complaint about the hi point is the lack of a slide release people bitched about the glocks look when those square bastards came out
I have a Shockwave SPX, add the glove to the handle and it makes it a hole lot more manageable
Never see Glocks or S&Ws Tortured like this....speaks volumes for Hi Point!!😊
Should be called "you'll totally believe what killed my hi-point.... cuz it's a hi-point..."
I really want you to try and HK 9 mm show that for once on your show I just bought one and I think they’re amazing they’re expensive but they’re amazing they’re made in Germany so give it a try thank you love your show
Let's see if we can hit the steel target with it? Yep good throw. Enjoyed the video as always!!!!!
: "Now I got to go find My Magazine spring" (Glasses on chillin)
: "Alright so I found the pieces to our magazine" (Glasses off, sweating, slightly out of breath) 🤣😂🤣😂
Thought I clicked on Demolition Ranch but then realized it was Destruction Farm
hi-points are essentially the gun equivalent of Nokia brick phones
I know that hi point is the black sheep of guns, but I like hi point. It's awesome
People can say what they want. I have battle rifles and all that. But I plan on getting a hi point carbine to just keep in my daily driver for a get home rifle that I am okay with leaving in my truck for extended periods because they can handle that and if it can't then its still a cheap replacement
I have 2 Hi-points and they are AWESOME!! One is a paper weight and the other was a hammer
A video idea could be where you buy a new railroadtie and see how Long it would take to get thew one and work up the calibers…
That mosberg is like the shotgun from duke nukem 3d
Why doesn't someone try this same test with a Wilson Combat 1911, Or a Block?
JoJo is almost a Pro,,Great job JoJo!
When you were looking back while shooting the hi point with the frontal view made you look like a bad ass
Love my C9 Hi Point!!!😃
Really the only things this gun needs are Improved material for the slide, grips, and sights & a stiffer recoil spring.
I've had many Glocks over 600 bucks, my Hi-point never failed or never miss-fired, don't judge because of the low price it works just fine
I got a taurus slim 9mm for i think 150$ from a friend. It jammed and was abused. I sent it into taurus and they sent me a new gun. I love it.
For serious ccw yes.
No way Hi Point warranty 1000%Better!!!
I agree demo ranch hi point is a hybrid😂😂
I really thought these guns were a joke till my buddy bought one and shot thousands of rounds through it. Shot fine when he sold it. I wouldn't want to carry one for duty but if it's all I could afford for home protection I wouldn't hesitate to have it.
That's the thing about hi point it's to give everyone a chance to have a gun. Not everyone can afford a glock on layaway
you would be amazed at the barrel obstructions a hi-point will clear, just watch the 2 demoranch videos on the subject XD
