I've just picked up a sevens board tonight so I can play with my 7 year old. Very much looking forward to watching this series on the format and learning, TBP is easily the best resource and content for Blood Bowl IMO, long may it continue.
YES YES YES YES YES YES and YES. Love your work and love sevens, imo its the go to for format. can't wait for roosters and the talk about! keep it up and stay save!
Discovered 7s thanks to you, and will definitely be using it as the 'starter' game for teaching others. I especially like the idea for simple league development.
Me and my high school mates loved BloodBowl back in 93-95, but it took too long to play, so we played 7s. I wish I had the old team rosters, but it was so much fun and 8 of us actually managed to play full seasons with semis finals, quarter finals and a grand final
Fab stuff Ben. Think you should become the face of Blood Bowl 7s. More Super Sevens series videos - 2020 Season - to get us through the last of lockdown please.
I am a special person who plays humans without an ogre. I like this, it's really fun and you can abuse space more, so the strategies are different (and helpful considering my lack of big guy). Great way to play, thanks for introducing me to it 👍
This was another fantastic video, I have been struggling to get my son to play (He says games are too long) so this sounds perfect. I’m already marking up my pitch for 7’s ❤️❤️👍🏼
@@mattellis3297 cool I have used the grass side of the second season boxed set pitch and marked out the lines with a dark pink sharpie. It looks pretty good 😃👍🏼
Rules suggestion - instead of doubeling the cost of rerolls, just add 50k. It makes it an option for 70k teams to take em while still being really expensive
Alas!! They aren't the Linemen, so they are positionals! It's a really tough gig - but Swarming has proven to be powerful in Sevens, so makes them a great choice!
Great video, I’ll definitely try this out at some point. Quick question, how do you think Snotlings will play in 7s? Are things like swarming/riotous rookies still balanced when the games are so much smaller?
Hello! I'm new and plan on starting blood bowl. Can you do or point me towards a vid to compares blood bowls 7 and blitz bowl. Also a vid that resume where to start and what to buy (or what do you got with each options/product) for blood bowl like some overview or guide for beginner/future buyer. Thks for your work!
How do you handle skill/characteristic advancements in sevens? Like is I wanted to play an “exhibition game”, how would you handle that? Give a specific amount of SPPs to each team? If so, how much would be good for sevens? Is there any occasion where you use gold for skill/characteristic advancements (instead of SPPs)?
Hey Loadatat! Yeah, you can totally do it with a Skill per game, or x-SPP per game and keep the teams close together. There's absolutely nothing wrong with just using the rules as written; but it'll heavily favour faster teams! More TDs = More SPPs!
I see no mention of rostered Apothecaries anywhere in the rules. Is the only option to spend 100k for a Wandering Apoth, or can you spend the usual 50k for a rostered one?
Great question Andrew! Except for Rerolls the rest of team building is normal - unless the league/tournament says otherwise! All of our rosters are built assuming it's a 600,000GP build, with tournament style inducements! That 50k Apo is all important, and totally legal!
How are you affording the three big guy plus dark elf team for Chaos Renegades? In BB2016 that costs 620k and in BB2020 it's at least 630k. And that's with no rerolls.
Hey Tioz, The Sevens rules are now in the DZ book! We haven't put together our PDF yet - we were hoping for the May FAQ to tie some things together... It did not! haha
Ok wow I want to play. So I’m a chaos dwarf player at heart and my initial reaction to hearing an interesting variant is how would I build CD team. Listening to your I was going ouch ouch ouch at double priced revolts in 600k. So let’s drop the rerolls what can you do. 1 Minotaur 2 Bull centaurs 1 CD 3 Hobgoblins Is 600k and that feels like an appropriate 7s team, I think bull centaurs might be even scarier on a 7s field. So you would have lots of speed for the strength. Almost no skills though is going to lead to a lot of turn overs without rerolls though. A sure hands on one hobgoblin and block on the Bull Centaurs would make a world of difference. Not sure what you can do with other teams, but would you want to face this team?
This is the video I've been looking for. Without opening the box, can I use my Blitz Bowl pitch? Never played a game of Blitz Bowl because I don't speak German 🤣

I hope they add a 7s mode to BB3
That would be amazing
This is sooooo good. I have got my son into BB by playing sevens. Looking forward to when you have your sevens events again

Yes. Thanks for doing this Ben
Tried my first game of 7s tonight based on your recommendation. So much fun. Love it. Thanks for the content!

Thanks for explaining the kick-offs. I read about it in Deathzone and was left with many questions! Off to my first 7s game tonight!

Please consider doing a video about 7s with the rules from the new Death zone book. Thanks.
awesome stuff, will have to give this ago!
Great content!
Do you play the deathzone rules in full now or do you use some or all of your variant ruleset?

I'm making mine aswell as we speak. I decided to go a checkered pattern for my pitch. What about you?

What is a resurrection format in Blood Bowl? I've heard the term used but I don't know what it means.
So looks like my first table top leagues will be blood bowl 7's time to learn!
Wondering what would be the best way to play 7s online? And if there is an online league going on?
TT sim is prob the best.
Hey Ben. Do the Snotlings on the Underworld team count as Linemen or Positionals? (they are 0-3)
Alas!! They aren't the Linemen, so they are positionals! It's a really tough gig - but Swarming has proven to be powerful in Sevens, so makes them a great choice!
Anymore feedback on the position rule not applying to stunty players?

Dumb question - Do dwarf teams dominate in 7's?

Hello Ben! Do you still have plans on releasing version 1.3 of the rule set? Or did the official GE version kill the unofficial version?
How do you feel about the new official sevens rules?
Did you guys have a recommendation for tournaments (money, skills/tiers, starplayers)? Thanks!
Is there any way of making leagues work? Like changing the value of skill ups?
Hey Loadatat! Yeah, you can totally do it with a Skill per game, or x-SPP per game and keep the teams close together.

Is there a 1.3 edition? :-D thanks

Thx mate 😉🍺
For league play, couldn't you just make inducements cheaper?
An Old World Alliance 7 would look like?
I cant find the Rules to download :(

I'd would be temping to drop the mino for 2 CDs. Send all 3 up to form a solid run block. And pray to nuffle your bull centaur doesnt trip lol
@@mattellis3297 if you dropped the mino, you could only take 1 chorf due to the max 4 positional limit
Gobbo's for 7s!!
Mh didn't like it that much back then, doubt I will now, Street Bowl had enough crazy to get me invested though.
This is the video I've been looking for. Without opening the box, can I use my Blitz Bowl pitch? Never played a game of Blitz Bowl because I don't speak German 🤣
I think the Blitz Bowl pitch is just a few squares too small.
7s + 1 Star Player GO!
I'd def take whiplash with my renegades...once his rules drop or even double drool for a combo of Lawrence taylor/prime time type of player.
It's a shame not to use any actual footage of the game being played ... it's a VIDEO after all.
I don't like 7's at all. I enjoy dwarves and Ogres and it isn't fun
