Not breaking eye contact at all can be intimidating, so it's recommended to rather make eye contact around 80% of the time and casually looking elsewhere for 20% of the time.

I just finished reading that book and I quite liked it . The tips are practical helpful and the mini stories included show that the tips are valid and legit 😊 Some of these make me feel fake if I ever use them but fake it until you make it 🤣
Just found your video on reddit. Great stuff, man. I have this book on my kindle for 3 years but havent touched it. Youre saving us all a lot of work. Thanks, and please continue :
Dear Positively Brainwashed, I am very happy that there are people who make amazing videos like this. I really loved it and watched your other videos as well. I am glad that I am your new subscriber and looking forward to have more new videos as well as part 2 of this.Thank you so much for your help to make this world more positive.
This is one of the best and most uplifting comments I have ever read. You have no idea how much a comment like this means to me. Thanks for taking the time to write it 😄
After reading this, I re-read my comment "A greatly appreciated treasure trove for this INTP!" and realized what's wrong with my conversation - I often relay what I mean without implying that the other person's reaction is important.
I love your videos man. This was my first one but as someone who is in a sales type business with a mostly introverted personality, your tips are really helpful to me. Keep 'em coming!
Thanks really appreciate that. Wait until I make videos on persuasion that specifically focuses on different personality types comes out. Different techniques, like if you watch my 25 cognitive bias videos work more effectively on different personality types. And the big thing a lot of sales people have difficulty with, is closing or persuading people with opposite personality types as them.
Just curious, do you have a background in behavioral psychology or something similar? Is this a hobby or career for you? Info is fantastic and easily digestible so the time it must have taken to compile such info must have been significant.
I have a major in psychology and computer science. So I've studied everything from social, neuro, cognitive and behavioral. While I don't have a career in psychology, it's my favourite subject. I'm also passionate about sales. Right now you can say this a hobby with a dream of it being a career someday.
I'd say you're headed in the right direction and your degrees seem tailor made. I really appreciate the videos, great info and easy to digest format. Don't mind the minor criticisms, everyone has an opinion on the internet.
I really appreciate your comment :) But I love the minor criticisms. You're watching my latest work. But if you look at my earlier videos, you'd see a big difference in quality. Criticism is what allows me to improve. I think the worst thing for a creator is to get no results and no feedback to draw from
Thanks, glad you enjoyed. Although you just made realize the link to my book in the descriptions is my old version. This is the link to my latest version. www.smashwords.com/books/view/633466
I just found this video through RUclips suggestions. It is full of little wisdom pills! I just subscribed to your channel. Continue your adventure: bravo and thanks from Italy! :)
+Positively Brainwashed I buyed this book and walked away while everyone in the bookstore were looking at me. However, reading this book was like talking to the most interesting person in the world.
Positively Brainwashed, Thank you very much for the thought-provoking video. Although I am breaking one of the rules about sharing personal information before better knowing someone, the breaking is called for. How does one apply these techniques into daily life while having very little social experience? I was isolated for much of my life to the point that I started to forget how to understand and form coherent language. Now I am reintegrating myself into the world, inspired by your video to inspire the future people I talk with.
The question you're asking is similar to someone wondering how to start working out if they have very little experience doing so. You start off little by little. Will you feel awkward or weird at first? Probably. Anything that is new to the mind can sometimes be uncomfortable.
It's a very easy way to enter group conversations. It can get awkward for the first few seconds, but after a minute, no one will even remember how you entered.
lmfao wtf are #29 and #30??? the rest are super good, thank you for the video. Personally I wouldn't compliment someone by changing the word, instead I think it's more charismatic to say it differently altogether.
#29 is good when you're in an environment like in a party where you have to shake a lot of people's hands. Someone might notice you're just giving the same smile each time and might think it's fake. As for #30, the examples I used were the same from the book. The book is a little outdated, but I was hoping you get the concept :)
Positively Brainwashed ahhh thank you for noticing me ❤❤ and true, that makes more sense for 29, I remember times where my likes for someone decreased when I realized they were did the same thing to everyone else lol
I remember to have read this book, but only the beginning. Maybe like 32 points then I was like "Ughhh... Nah. I dont need anymore". The first ones are really useful but not all is golden.
Positively Brainwashed Yeah, but its interesting how man people will glorify everything if they liked the first half. You sure are aware of it but the trick is to question everything individually.
That feeling is natural whenever you do anything in life outside your comfort zone. So like most things when you do something long enough it can become natural. Humans are dynamic beings. Your personality, skills and experiences today may not be the same as when you were younger.

Well the first step is make the choice to want to improve or modify your social skills. If there's no desire or you're satisfied with your current skills, then there's no need.

There's many other factors involved when approaching someone. The situation, your body language, her mood, your angle of approach, tone voice how sincere you were, if you said a pre-frame or not and so on.
Gavin Hanson yeah, I wouldn't use that phrase again.. To ravish literally means to passionately make love to someone. It's a phrase for your partner, not good for an acquaintance you want to like you.

Not breaking eye contact at all can be intimidating, so it's recommended to rather make eye contact around 80% of the time and casually looking elsewhere for 20% of the time.
I would agree with this. Although it also depends if you're looking at a business partner or coworker, your partner, or just a friend.

Enjoyed the tips but had to power through the music.
My critique would be: please choose something less monotonous in the future.
Unfortunately it's really hard to please everyone. But thanks for the feedback, I will take it into consideration.
+Positively Brainwashed you don't have to please everyone.
just maybe look into some creative commons music or something.
What would I search for within creative commons? I really can't think of any type of music where no one would be complaining.
+Positively Brainwashed quite literally anything but 10 seconds of stock music looping, like you have currently

I remember to have read this book, but only the beginning. Maybe like 32 points then I was like "Ughhh... Nah. I dont need anymore".
The first ones are really useful but not all is golden.
That's the case for most books. There will only be so many golden nuggets.
Positively Brainwashed Yeah, but its interesting how man people will glorify everything if they liked the first half.
You sure are aware of it but the trick is to question everything individually.
I enjoyed watching this.

idk but i feel fake when doing that, don't you think?

hi make this kind of video i will watch your all video
Thanks for you the feedback Tejas.
So I should dress up as batman to get the ladies? Haha nice video man
Nobody can resist Batman
Sweet video! Is it still worth reading the book after watching this video?
It's really up to you on how much detail you want.
So this quite help , i think.
Good Info thanks !
Thanks for taking the time to give feedback

Thanks, and I enjoyed reading this comment :)

Hehehe, you're funny
Positively Brainwashed lol
Nice video, you have a good voice for this! Is there a part 2 for this book yes?
Working on it as I write this, Expect it in 2-3 days.
Awesome, i'll keep an eye out, thank you :)
It's out now incase you haven't seen it :)
Positively Brainwashed sweet thanks for letting me know!
I fail at every single one of those already....... I don't think I could ever actually do any of those steps X'D
What is preventing to you?
Positively Brainwashed I don't really know what specifically preventing from doing those. It's probably that I don't feel the need to do it or my brain just naturally does everything opposite of what "normal" people interact in certain situations.....
Well the first step is make the choice to want to improve or modify your social skills. If there's no desire or you're satisfied with your current skills, then there's no need.
Spotlight technique of Brian Tracy WORKS.
Mr Tracy knows his sales techniques!
I would love an opportunity to watch him give a live talk someday. But hes got
Plenty great videos online!
worth watching...gonna read this book :)
Thanks for feedback! 😊 The book is a classic
Third time watching this video today.
Really want to learn this tips.
Waiting on that part 2.
Well you have officially won commenter of the month, and we're only 10 days in. I promise I'll do a part 2 some day, waiting until I'm big enough, but I'm thinking sometime this year
I made part 2 just for you
Positively Brainwashed thank you so much !
Much appreciated (:
You're welcome :)
My favorite book now, currently on part three 😁
Very effective.
D.
Amazing view, keep going
Thanks Mohammad!
it's like lying and not being yourself. ...fake it till you make yourself believe your lies
I'm not sure where you're getting the idea I'm telling people to be fake. All these techniques can be done while being genuine.
Hii
Did gave ur book to any one else????
heyy thanks a lot for ur efforts :)
can u Please make a video on this book "You are a badass "?
Awesome work man. One of my favorite books :)
I can tell :) I've watched all your videos
hi, i live in Brazil, and i would like to start making this type of videos in portuguese. Can you give me a hint about how can i get information/courses about that? I appreciate, your chanel is amazing.
Thanks Leonardo. I used mostly Videoscribe for this video. You see a link in my descriptions. Or you can click this ➜ goo.gl/Ri2iTv

I agree, but some people can pull off cheezy

Sometime this year. Honour to have you visiting my channel 😀
There I just made part 2 just for you
Oooh just for me? :DDDD Thanks Aaron! I'll watch it, let me first get some popcorn :)
I’m watching this video knowing darn well I don’t want to talk to anyone.
I want one of those books😁
was there a part II?
Yes there's a part 2 and 3
