good job my friend!!! trout looks great!!!!. ive been in hobby over 30 years and i am keeping raising large mouth bass, yellow perch, american eels, blue gills, green sunfish, channel cats, bowfins just started trout after watching you video.
It looks like you have a male brown trout. It appears he has been in the tank for some time, because he is not looking for an exit. This was 11 years ago. Are you still doing this hobby?
@ΣXΩTIC herping_so_az if you fill a bucket whith water from were it was caught and put that in the tank, and if your keeping them for a bit if catching more that you need to keep changing the water ever so ofter especially if it's hot.
Oh God. On Every video concerning fish there's someone like you complaining about the size of a fish's tank. Get over it. not everyone has money to spend on a freaking fish, some people have lives besides worrying about fish.
z/s/he's the only damn fish in that tank. sure it's not a ricer, but it's not that bad. Dude probably can't afford to get a 40 and buy a proper stand for it. the water is clean, good lighting lots of air. The Trout is lively, I think it's doing OK.
If you think about it, trout normally have whole rivers to roam, and because fish are somewhat sensitive to size of containment more room would be optimal.
You keep the water cool with a chiller. A water chiller runs the water through and cools it. I have been trying to find one for my tank of tiger trout fingerlings but no luck. So I keep my window open at night with the 15 degree air and dump ice in their tank throughout the day. That keeps the tank around 55 degrees. My trout were bought from a fishery so I'm allowed to have them. But I do believe it is illegal to keep them if they were caught from the wild. You know a good pet store where I ca

Yoo that shits bussingly swagger, my guy! How long is the specimen?

Ok
awesome, i have always wanted to keep a pet trout ... how big is that trout, and is it still alive????
I tried keeping a medium sized rainbow in my 50 gallon tank a month ago, but it jumped out a week later right through the cover :(
how many days were you able to keep it in there?
It was caught from a stream below a waterfall. As long as you keep the water nice and clean and below 70 degrees they seem to do real well.
Is it still alive??

It does look kinda small, i think a 50 would be good for a single trout.
