I mean, I'm sure 95% of these guns are bought by their parents or given to them by their parents, so step 1 is have parents that have money to get you into this sport.
That’s an impressive event and such a great sport for those students to get into. Been there a couple times with my son. Also, your enthusiasm and positive energy will continue to impact these kids for years to come
Yea, most of them are rich kids and only able to do this because their parents buy them $2000+ shotguns. Even then, they are barely breaking 20 averages 😂🤣 I shot a 24.3 average my first YEAR of trap shooting with a Remington 1100. I shot 200 straight in my 2nd year and have countless 25s and 50s.
Love it! I started shooting sporting clays and trap with a CZ Teal 20 gauge. After deciding to focus more on trap, I bought a used Browning Citori XT 12 gauge. I love that gun..
That's great kids raised to hunt and shoot plus a couple sporting older guns a Ithaca 37 and a coast to coast 2 great guns and I would of done the same with the Ithaca want to sell it lol thanks for sharing this
Good for you. You did a great job showcasing the Minnesota high school field sports program and the impressive participation by the students. This is the best of America demonstrating why they are.
Great video interesting to see the massive difference from around the world where here we almost exclusively shoot over/unders or single barrels for trap.
My daughter, is a 4 time all American she did it on a shoestring budget and I’m a firm believer, the best kids you’ll ever fine is at the ATA i’m not so sure Minnesota is the biggest you’re forgetting about Sparta the world championships the AIM program is very impressive. The last I heard the numbers continue to grow especially now there’s more and more high schools with shooting programs. And I hope the numbers continue to grow after all this is our future without the young men and women hunting fishing trapping and participating in any kind of shooting programs. We have no future, through the young men and women shooting. Keep your head down the best of luck to each and everyone of you.
Hey Steve will you end up at the high school national shoot by chance. Man if I could make a request to the USAHSCTL would be to have you do a show at the National championships here in Michigan.
I was blessed to participate with the Cathedral highschool team on Tuesday. I actually got to meet Steve after I finished with my 100. I ultimately got 73/100, which is a career low, but it was a super fun experience.
I thought the shoot they have in Sparta Illinois every year was the biggest shoot in the world? Trap field is a mile long I shot there once and it was awesome!
Love this event, and this video! Kids are our hope and future. So nice to see these lovely kids to actively take part in the sport. The only thing I have a little concern is that it seems most kids are shooting expensive premium shotguns. These are high school kids who don't earn regular salaries. I believe that they should be taught the value of economic efficiency which will benefit them for the life time. Actually they don't need those premium guns at all! I really admire that kid who shoots with a Winchester SX4 and is proud of himself! Remember, the heroin lady shooter Shan Zhang who won the 1992 Olympic Skeet Gold Medal (a men and women mix program at the time and she beat all the men there!) was using a no-name shabby Chinese shotgun which she often had to take apart and change the mal-functioning parts herself! Such down-to-earth practicality, efficiency, and modesty used to be the most valuable tradition of Americans. We should not let it lost in our children.
Not so long ago my daughter was a 4 time all American ATA LADYTRAP shooter her averages were 94,7 to 96.7 she had all the ability with the top shooters there was and she started at 13
I suppose it could fluctuate but the grand is around 7,000 shooters. This championship is usually over 8,000 shooters. However the grand hosts more spectators typically.
Sad. A bunch of ok shotguns but if you wanna feel the best and shoot the best , get a KOLAR All that other stuff is just playing around and for maybe practice.
Way to go Minnesota, saving 12000 kids from a screen focused life.
I mean, I'm sure 95% of these guns are bought by their parents or given to them by their parents, so step 1 is have parents that have money to get you into this sport.
Being as you cannot buy a gun if you are under 18, you are correct. But my son is shooting a under $200 dollar gun. And doing very good.
@@federalagent7334 i bet you get invited to a lot of parties fed boy
That’s an impressive event and such a great sport for those students to get into. Been there a couple times with my son. Also, your enthusiasm and positive energy will continue to impact these kids for years to come
Iowa’s state shoot was last week, lots of fun. I love seeing kids being brought into the shooting sports. It’s how we will continue our 2A.
You are spot on!
I love to see this! Great to see the next generation keeping the traditions strong! I loved these tournaments with the kids!👍
Glad to see someone running an 870, it’s good to see a classic pump
That’s what our son started on! I still use it when we both go since he won’t let me use my 725 😂
Great to see those kids so enthusiastic about shooting. Interesting to see all the different guns they shoot. Another great video!
Love this. Can’t believe it’s a thing. Those kids are so lucky to be able to do this in high school! Amazing!!!
Yea, most of them are rich kids and only able to do this because their parents buy them $2000+ shotguns. Even then, they are barely breaking 20 averages 😂🤣

@@federalagent7334 Well good for you Sparky !!!
As the coach of an SCTP youth team in Maine, I applaud your video! Kids are the future of the sport.
Love it! I started shooting sporting clays and trap with a CZ Teal 20 gauge. After deciding to focus more on trap, I bought a used Browning Citori XT 12 gauge. I love that gun..
Great video! Good job connecting with all these kids. Good to see them supported and getting into the sport.
That's great kids raised to hunt and shoot plus a couple sporting older guns a Ithaca 37 and a coast to coast 2 great guns and I would of done the same with the Ithaca want to sell it lol thanks for sharing this
So fun to watch. Nice articulate kids in the outdoors!! Love it, great vid to 😎
Thanks so much for this video. Just awesome to see what other High School students are using for trap. Just about everything under the sun.
beautiful facility, that is crazy the amount of kids you have participating. We just had our SCTP Alabama State Championship with 127 shooters.
Love the content brother. Pls do some more shotguns reviews ❤
Thanks for doing this video and bringing attention to this event, Steve. Looking forward to watching my son compete on Sunday in Alexandria.
Good luck!
Please do more trap shooting tips video
Glad to see so many young shooters , that's what keeps the sport alive.
Good for you. You did a great job showcasing the Minnesota high school field sports program and the impressive participation by the students. This is the best of America demonstrating why they are.

My grandson shoots for Marion County High school in Philadelphia Missouri. He shoots my BT 99. Back to back 22 last night
Great video interesting to see the massive difference from around the world where here we almost exclusively shoot over/unders or single barrels for trap.
Never figured out how to cook them pigeons.
Great video. I wish I lived closer, I would really enjoy attending this event.
I DID enjoy this video! Young people having fun shooting guns. Maybe there is still hope for us all.
Awesome Love this type of post‼️
You should do it more often and show some finals to see how they did 😁 / 😎👍👍

I was wondering where all the 20 gauge target ammo went, fleet farm was picked clean...
You should come to nationals for trap. At least 15 states come together for a shoot in Ohio. July 15th you should check it out.
Such a great event. So fun to see all the kids out having fun. Fingers crossed our team does well Friday.
Can you review the Tri Star TT-15 Trap CTA combo(single and double barrel)???
Great video! What a great bunch of kids !
The best!
Absolutely fabulous video, great content.👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey Steve, newer viewer but getting into skeet and love your gun reviews! Any chance you could review the Browning Cynergy Wicked wing model?
How come no Perozzi ,Kohler ,Krieghoff,DT 11,model 12 Winchester‘s,Remington 1100s?
Great to see 👍🇺🇲
Great video! Thanks!
I was blessed to participate with the Cathedral highschool team on Tuesday. I actually got to meet Steve after I finished with my 100. I ultimately got 73/100, which is a career low, but it was a super fun experience.
That’s still a great score. Congratulations!
What gun?
My son won 3rd place in JV with a Nova, in Indiana's state youth trap shoot. One of his rounds was his first 25 straight.
Great video Steve, keep talking to the youth shooters, they are the future for this great sport!
Great video. Keep up the good work.
So, Steve, this is being held at Your place?! I am so happy for you and just love seeing so many youth comfortable with their guns.
Hey I am from Minnesota and I shoot trap and we just had state trap shoot today and the rest of the week
I thought the shoot they have in Sparta Illinois every year was the biggest shoot in the world? Trap field is a mile long I shot there once and it was awesome!
Great video! Unfortunately I can't make it to the championship this year 😟
That's Awesome!

Wonderful video. You are doing a great job. Hope your handing out pens or something with your channel info.
I’m not but that is a good idea 👍
USA clay target League Washington state high School trap championship is June 24th at Evergreen Sportsmen's Club out of Olympia
I’m going to be there on Monday so hopefully I see you there
Im surprised not many people had Beretta Xcel or silver pigeon! What's reason for that?
Love the video man!!
Great work👍👍
I learned a new thing put a rubber band on my sx4 it will keep the shell from going every were
You should do more videos like this during the hole tournament.
Target focused ❤ 🎉
Would love to be at an event like this
Slay clay type of day
Now make it a 👕

Thanks so much!!
I had a great fun time there yesterday!
Not so long ago my daughter was a 4 time all American ATA LADYTRAP shooter her averages were 94,7 to 96.7 she had all the ability with the top shooters there was and she started at 13
I wish i had this growing up i just bought my first shotgun and cant wait to try trap
I still like matte black, and it's my gun now. My profile picture is during the interview😂
What's the rubber band about on the autos?
It keeps the shell from flying out.
Hey so you should definitely come to Oregon’s championship
Wow thanks great video
Glad you enjoyed it
I have a ithaca model 37
Isn't anyone shooting a 1100 Classic Trap anymore?
RemArms just came back online, give it some time for them to get shotguns on the shelves.
I was a shooter in this championship, I wish I could have met you.
My state competition was like last month
No VEPR-12???
Seriously?
Cz drake all terrain is calling me
The mo one was today and my school won
Hundreds of kids with guns and no car jackings…imagine that.
Why do so many of the semi-autos have a rubber band over the action?
So it doesn’t eject the empty hull so they don’t have to go chase it.
Nova lol @ decently light
Alexandria Shooting Park>>>>
Can’t believe there were no Fabarm xlr5’s. Word is going to get out…
surprised there aren't many berettas
Bigger than the Grand ?
I suppose it could fluctuate but the grand is around 7,000 shooters. This championship is usually over 8,000 shooters. However the grand hosts more spectators typically.
Remington expres
😳😳😲😲🫨🫨👍👍👍👍🎯🎯💯💯‼️
If he was using a KOLAR ARMS gun he would win all the time. Just saying. Kolar is the worlds best.
Do you go to nationals? In ohio
GO wisco
Are you real...
First
No mossbergs🥲
Nope it’s not the largest the grand American is.
Damn here in commiefornia the highschools cant even have archery.
Sad. A bunch of ok shotguns but if you wanna feel the best and shoot the best , get a KOLAR All that other stuff is just playing around and for maybe practice.
American shooting culture... Hmm.... Not European.
They don’t sell Berettas out there!!! Dam jealous here in Crappyfornia dam politicians closed down high school trap and skeet events
