This is the first video I have seen that explains how the upper body's movement differs in driver vs iron. Can't wait to go to the range and try it. Thank you!
did another video today- definitely my left shoulder needs to go down and forward- clear as can be. For driver video I leave my weight too much back at impact- need to work on pushing hips forward and chest pointing up to the sky. My right shoulder needs to be turned more towards target at impact. Once I get this down I am going to improve so much.
Another meaningful lesson Coach. On the heels of the right arm throw this brings things full circle. Bye the way the right hand throw helped my round today. Be well-Russ
I had a lesson and it was a miracle. Fixed my iron shanks completely and crushing irons. Now my driver is struggling. This is definitely something I need to think more about
Eric, great explanation on the difference in iron and driver. Will you be doing in person lessons in south Florida this winter? If so how can I book a day and time?
took video yesterday- my driver is good- shoulder up and back, but definitely on irons my shoulder doesn't break the wall- my irons are my weak part of my game. I still notice some "chicken winging " with irons
Is it safe to say that driver and iron swings are very similar, but the difference is in setup and ball position. For driver, body tilting back and the ball forward in the stance ALLOWS the lead shoulder to move and stay behind the line. For irons, the spine is less tilted allowing the shoulder to break the line. ???
@CogornoGolf Ah! Got it. Since the setup is different, the move is different. The video emphasizes the difference in hip movements. Thanks for clarifying EC.
This is one of the best videos I've seen on the difference between the driver swing and the iron swing. Well done Eric!
Thank you!

Hope it serves you well Robert! Our pleasure!
Excellent tuition, Eric. It explains why, during a round, I get better and better at striking my irons, and then the pop-up drive sneaks in.
Thank you! Yes :)

Love that plan Steve!

Great to hear, Russ!

Hope this one helps!
Perfect! Hit decent drives but fat irons. Even looking forward to hitting my next iron approach! Thank you Eric
Hope this one serves you well, Wayne!
I really like this video...makes a whole lot of sense.
Thanks! Glad to hear it!
Great analyse and exercice spécial lycées with the driver
Thank you!

@@wenbray6396 I want to come down and be in the background while he's filming a video. 😀
Probably the hardest part of ball striking for me is this. Once I get proficient at one I start getting worse in the other.
I hear ya....hope you find a middle ground!!

???
Hey!
I would say thats a BIG PART of it.....yes......but not the ENTIRE reason why....no.
It's the setup.......AND......the moves through the ball.

What about fairway woods?? Same as irons?
Right in between the iron and driver move....
Nicklaus said he uses the same swing for every shot. I have been trying that forever and it doesn't work.
Hey Mike!

That is a forward slash, not a backslash.
oops! Thanks :)

If the head gets past the ball with irons as demonstrated you might not like the results. I get the intention but many watching might not.😮
Absolutely :)
