- Matchbox Twenty singer Rob Thomas inducted Chicago at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony, and backstage he talked about what the absent Peter Cetera brought to Chicago, having the band be more than soft rock, how he got into the group, and his appearance on iZombie.
Omgosh he's so I'm just saying it he's just too beautiful ❤️ I love Rob Thomas
This night would've been so much better if Chicago was inducted like 20 yrs earlier and Peter might have joined them for the show.
Agree. Peter can't sing in that range anymore. He wanted the band to drop the key in 25 or 6 to 4 from A to E, which is quite drastic.
Jimmy Hendrix once said Terry Kath was a better guitarist than him
25 or 64? Yeah, he's a Chicago expert...
25 or 6 to 4 meant 25 or 26 minutes till 4 A.M. It was about dropping acid. I never knew this when I was a young kid growing up with the early music of Chicago. Terry Kath is one of the greatest guitar players and singers. Everyone should watch his daughter's documentary on her father, which was originally entitled "The Terry Kath Experience." Rest in Peace Eternally Terry Kath!
he once said he would love to have the horn section to play on if you're gone but didn't think they would do it
"How you doin hon" 😄 reallly?
Wow
Stand still Rob!
LOLOLOL........In my humble opinion....I'm thinking he & his wife just had a baby and that's why he's swaying back & forth! I thought that the night of the actual induction 'cuz he did that during the speech.....I was watching people's periscopes!!
Maybe he had to pee!
@@debzdestiny1 No, he and Mari don't share any children. It's been thrown around that Rob has ADHD and so he fidgets quite a bit and can't stay still. He's so endearing. My favorite musician actually, because he's a wonderful singer/songwriter who is a genuinely nice, funny guy. He loves his fans and treats them right, and takes care of his wife who has had brain surgery and suffers from auto-immune (lyme) disease. They started Sidewalk Angels over a decade ago, which is a non-for-profit foundation that helps over 20 no-kill shelters around the country. I can't wait to celebrate Rob's (and Matchbox Twenty's) induction some day!
25 or 64?
oh Rob... he lost a cool point.
It was before his time...lol
So what? Do your research or move over & let somebody who lived their history do it. (though I thought he mis-spoke)
Lol... Does Rob Thomas really know what time it is?

Lol!! Ooops!!
Dude hold still.
(Cetera) should have repositioned himself as a rocument!
tell some more black jokes
Rock and Roll box a bubblegum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The "bubblegum" material did not start until the 80s. They have a decade of awesome material prior to the 80s. Especially before tbe death of Terry Kath. But, to each their own.
@@aeroteslaaviationworks176 the Terry Kath years were the best for me!
I think he needs to go to the bathroom.
Heh keeps swaying to and fro, trying to self comfort himself.
Wrong choice for press conference. #ClownShow
Rob, its only their earlier stuff that matters - 1969 to Jan 1978. The rest is crap.
The Terry Kath years were the absolute best!
It’s all great music!
OK, Mr. Cool.
