Hey man, so your RS 5 is fully stock other than this mod? Just wanting to make sure. I want to get a little bit more sound out of mine without getting too crazy and messing around with too much. This seems perfect and reliable.
Hey man! Sorry for late reply. Other than the AWE Intake, my RS5 is complete stock. Replacing JUST the resonators will in no way affect the car or warranty assuming you are in the US. I can’t speak for any countries outside of the IS as they have their own regulations. Replacing the resonators is not altering the emissions systems so you should have zero troubles with that as long as you are in the US. I very much enjoy the extra sound and fanfare with this modification. Cheers!
Thanks! Yep. It already sounds pretty good with the valves open stock (non OPF - US spec). Deleting the 2 forward resonators provides a bit more pops and gurgles. There’s still one resonator that could be removed further.
I just want to hear res delete + High flow cats…… but stock mufflers. Can’t find that set up anywhere. That’s what I Did on my SQ5 and my C43 AMG…. I’ve been leaving stock mufflers on all my cars and replacing upstream where the power gains actually come from
Sorry for the super late replay. Just now seeing this. It’s the Bull-X resonator delete. www.emdauto.com/products/bull-x-resonator-delete-pipes-for-b9-audi-rs5-2-9t?variant=32437746434136
I bought a resonator delete kit from ESC, had it installed last week. It now makes a weird noise, like a fluttering noise as if there’s a leak. At idle it makes an odd noise, too. Had it double checked today and they’re saying everything is tight and no leaks. Do you have this issue, too?
@@stealthhtm23 i about had a heart attack thinking i twisted something i shouldnt have or pushed the pipes around to where something was rubbing where it wasnt suppose to be. took them off, reinstalled, moved them around. the car was up and down on the lift like 6 times before someone in a forum was like "oh yeah mine does that too." windows up cant hear it so its a summer noise lol

First question, are you in the United States? I can only speak to US laws. In the US we have the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act which essentially requires the manufacturer to prove your modification caused the premature failure. That’s a fairly simplified version of things, but basically, if you did this mod, Audi cannot void your warranty on the suspension or the infotainment or something. Now let’s say my exhaust starts to rust or something (not that this would cause that.) they could deny a warranty claim on prematurely rusting exhaust because I did modify it. When it comes to tuning and electronics, it’s much more gray. If the cat is tuned and you have an engine or transmission failure, you are likely going to be denied warranty coverage. This can vary dealer to dealer.
@goldenlight nothing in particular, just keep up with the factory maintenance. If you don’t use the dealer, get receipts for any work done showing what was done.

Just the front two resonators were removed right? Sounds dope man

@@krazyk86cu so there’s 3 in total?
4:38 wow no dsg farts thank god! did you do a tune or are you driving on comfort?
Nope, no tune and I’m in dynamic. I was using launch control. Don’t typically get dsg farts when using lc
Hey man thinking of doing this. Did you get any engine lights after installation?
Nope! Everything is behind the O2 sensors.
Hi,we have a series of Truck and Jeep aftermarket accessories, would you like to review them

Does this do away with your car warranty all together?
You forgot to delete the third read resonator !!!!
This was just to hold me over until going with a full exhaust. Ended up going a different route though. ruclips.net/video/7LwzqGIFn2c/видео.html
Did it give you a drone sound? I delete all my resonators on my rs5 and it gives me that drone sound
I only deleted the the 2 forward resonators. The 3rd one further back, I left in place. Haven’t noticed any drone.
Do you have a link to this midpipe? I want to see if it’s the same one I have. I’ve been told by some shops it affects my emissions
Hey it’s Kyle!
Good Work :) thanks!!
Get rid of that oem transmission mount insert
nice mod, do the OEM valves still work with the delete kit? In the sound clip a the end I couldn't hear them opening and closing
they do, the resonators are further forward, and the valves are located at the end of the muffler which are not affected by this mod.
So sick

Got this done today, noticed the same issue. Did you find a resolution?
did you get the turbo chirpping sound after install as well?
Yes, it’s more definitely more pronounced. I love it
oh, so the turbo chirping is normal?? I thought one of my turbos was going bad. good to know lol

@@DJrmcb1 I hear it once and a while with the windows up. I have an open intake tho, so that would accentuate it, for sure.
Factory GPF still in place?
Does it drone while driving in comfort or dynamic
Negative, it does not drone with the resonator delete, regardless of how you have the flaps set.
Hola yo tengo un rs5 del 2019 en españa con opf
Mi pregunta es lograre alguna mejora de conido con esta modificación??

Is that rev limiter on it?
Nó muffler delete?
Where is this shop ?
This is saabkyle04’s shop. K & J Design and Autoworx.
Have in stalled this on my 2020 facelift RS4 but I don’t get the same sound improvement. Does your RS5 still have the OPF?
I’m in the US so there’s likely extra restrictions on your model that we don’t get. They don’t even offer the RS4 over here.

This just replaced a resonator. The catalytic converter and muffler remained intact.
