Longaberger baskets parties were a big thing in the 80’s and 90’s. They were very expensive even back then but very good quality. They were so popular back in the day!
If someone hasn’t mentioned it yet, those small glasses with the 4 headed decanter are actually cordial glasses (I have several sets). So after dinner either in place of dessert or even alongside a fruit and cheese course one would be offered a cordial. I typically drink port out of mine but you can also use them to serve a pre-dinner aperitif.
The Longaberger basket company was shaped like a basket. Really cool. I collect those baskets and love them. They were made in Dresden, Ohio. They were really hot in the 90's. They should have initials and date on the bottom.

It was a family company. We used to love to make trips to their home in Dresden Ohio, and tour the factory and all the little shops etc in town. Their headquarters later was in a basket shaped office building.

You all remind me of my Mom, sister, and me years ago. The three of us loved shopping together. Sometimes we would be gone so long, we would eat three meals out in a day...lol. I lost my Mom three years ago at the age of 95. Up until the last 10 years of her life, we continued our outings. You all are making memories!!! Never take your time together for granted. These are special times and you will look back someday and remember this. I miss my Mom everyday!!! God bless!!!

I live about 5 minutes away from that store and stopped shopping there years ago, it just didn't feel welcoming. I will absolutely drive 50 minutes to go to the Red Barn in Fruitland!
Another fun day with my fav mom and daughters! The Longaberger tray basket is used for veggies and dip. The large un-sectioned liner is used under the divided one for ice to keep your veggies cool. There's many other uses of course. :)

It's so funny, I never thought I'd enjoy these types of videos, but I'm absolutely glued to them every time. You all have such pretty taste and it's interesting to see you suggesting things for arrangements that I would otherwise overlook.
The 15 drawer cabinet with the little shelves that have a hole is for paper! The hole helps you pop up the paper to get a sheet, as paper sometimes doesn’t play nice when you’re just trying to get one sheet.

Longaberger were handwoven for pottery back in the very early 1900's. Dave Longaberger revised the company in the late 70's until early 2000's when he passed. They were extremely collectable and sold in home shows all over the country. Boise was a very popular area for sales which is why you see them. Always get the protectors when you see them!
I love your antiquing trips. I'm so envious, because here on Long Island, NY, almost all of our antique shops have disappeared. 25 years ago, my husband and I used to go antiquing every weekend. Almost every piece in our house has a story, a memories of past trips. On another note, thank you for mentioning the Felco 12 clippers for people with hand issues. It's been a game changer!

Oh, Longaberger memories. They were sold at home parties and the hostess would get credit towards baskets. They were crazy expensive and me and my mother were obsessed. They came in all shapes and sizes. I still use my picnic basket regularly and it’s remained in amazing shape. But when I think back at the literal thousands of dollars me and my mother spent on them I feel like I was in a cult! Now all of my non utilitarian ones are in a basement storage room because they are no longer my decor taste but I spent a lot of money on those suckers, so I can’t bear to sell them for pennies on the dollar!
I know what you're talking about! My mother-in-law spent so much money on those baskets, and I feel so bad that I don't use them much (like you, they don't fit my decor taste). I do still have the picnic basket, but again, I never use it.

Longaberger Baskets were handmade in Dresden Ohio. At one point they had a large factory and The Longaberger Homestead. Each basket should have the initials of the person who weaved the basket on the bottom. My husband worked there. This is a very interesting story of Dave Longaberger, the founder of the company who is now deceased. (I grew up in the area and I had a house/garden in Dresden Ohio that was in a book by Judy Condon. )
Oh you girls! Such a fun shopping day with all three of you! It’s the day after my birthday and I feel like this is such a gift! I lived in Boise for 27 years (up until 6 years ago) and it’s scratching an itch for my homesickness! Especially Hyde Park area. It’s the neighborhood where I used to take my daughter to day care, and we used to go play at Camel Back Park nearby. We would trick or treat at Halloween in those neighborhoods ( yes the beautiful Victorian and early 20th century homes). Harrison Blvd is known for trick or treating! It’s so lovely there. You should see it in the fall with all the trees decked out. My daughter’s father in law and his brother used to have a band and they would play at one of the establishments there in Hyde Park. It’s such a great part of Boise that I don’t think is well know to tourists. Another neighborhood you should visit is to the south of there on the other side of the capital. Warm Springs Avenue has some of the most beautiful mansions and gardens and also the botanical garden is in that area. You guys should check it out!!!! 💚💚🙏
At 9:03 did anyone else Google "hog scraper"? South Dakota State University says: "...are used to scrape the small hairs off hog hides which removes some bacteria and gets the hide ready for the next step in meat processing." How lovely! 😄 You guys are a hoot!

Love watching MOM and girl's spending time together, my mother passed when I was only 35. Always cherish those days, now in my later 60s and still miss days like those.
I love the shopping day videos. I’ve recently gotten my mom on board with thrift shopping with me. We don’t buy a lot but we laugh a lot at some of the things we see. She enables my collections much like it seems your mom does too. Must be a Susan thing 😉

We love it -- hanging out with the girls. You all continue to make beautiful memories together. After 10 years, I still miss my Mom and Sister. We had so much fun together with shopping , eating, and vacationing together. It is not the same without them. You all have lots of fun together. Love you all.
I’ve been collecting Longaberger baskets for years. I grew up in Ohio, so every year I would make the trek to the factory and bring all my baskets to get signed. I use my baskets! They are sturdy and mine look like no wear to them.
I used to ride my bike all over that area when I was a kid!! There weren’t any shops, just my friend’s houses back then!! I went driving in the north end a while ago and was amazed of 2 things: How small the yards and gardens actually are! I think they shrunk from how big they were when I was a kid 😂 & how glorious that whole area really is! Thanks for the flood of such fond memories! I was a lucky kid to have gotten to grow up in such a beautiful area! ❤

Love Longaberger baskets. I have several from very small to large and in NE PA they were very popular and were purchased through a home party. Our local tour bus company would take a bus out to OH to tour the facility. Love them!!

So fun! So I might be weird but I use an antique “ relish” tray for jewelry on my bathroom counter! The glass sits on a silver tray and is so pretty!

Oh, Longaberger memories. They were sold at home parties and the hostess would get credit towards baskets. They were crazy expensive and me and my mother were obsessed. They came in all shapes and sizes. I still use my picnic basket regularly and it’s remained in amazing shape. But when I think back at the literal thousands of dollars me and my mother spent on them I feel like I was in a cult! Now all of my non utilitarian ones are in a basement storage room because they are no longer my decor taste but I spent a lot of money on those suckers, so I can’t bear to sell them for pennies on the dollar!
I know what you're talking about! My mother-in-law spent so much money on those baskets, and I feel so bad that I don't use them much (like you, they don't fit my decor taste). I do still have the picnic basket, but again, I never use it.

Longaberger Baskets were handmade in Dresden Ohio. At one point they had a large factory and The Longaberger Homestead. Each basket should have the initials of the person who weaved the basket on the bottom. My husband worked there. This is a very interesting story of Dave Longaberger, the founder of the company who is now deceased. (I grew up in the area and I had a house/garden in Dresden Ohio that was in a book by Judy Condon. )
Oh you girls! Such a fun shopping day with all three of you! It’s the day after my birthday and I feel like this is such a gift! I lived in Boise for 27 years (up until 6 years ago) and it’s scratching an itch for my homesickness! Especially Hyde Park area. It’s the neighborhood where I used to take my daughter to day care, and we used to go play at Camel Back Park nearby. We would trick or treat at Halloween in those neighborhoods ( yes the beautiful Victorian and early 20th century homes). Harrison Blvd is known for trick or treating! It’s so lovely there. You should see it in the fall with all the trees decked out. My daughter’s father in law and his brother used to have a band and they would play at one of the establishments there in Hyde Park. It’s such a great part of Boise that I don’t think is well know to tourists. Another neighborhood you should visit is to the south of there on the other side of the capital. Warm Springs Avenue has some of the most beautiful mansions and gardens and also the botanical garden is in that area. You guys should check it out!!!! 💚💚🙏
Yes! I live west of Boise and don’t tend to get into the city to enjoy it. The traffic has gotten so bad! You got out just in time!
At 9:03 did anyone else Google "hog scraper"? South Dakota State University says: "...are used to scrape the small hairs off hog hides which removes some bacteria and gets the hide ready for the next step in meat processing." How lovely! 😄 You guys are a hoot!
As soon as I saw it I knew. I was shouting hog scraper before she read it. Huge amount of homesteading channels on you youtube. Still being used today on those channels.

I love the shopping day videos. I’ve recently gotten my mom on board with thrift shopping with me. We don’t buy a lot but we laugh a lot at some of the things we see. She enables my collections much like it seems your mom does too. Must be a Susan thing 😉

I was enjoying this video over dinner when suddenly my husband overheard you guys talking about taco toppings and his ears perked right up. When I heard Monica say she was in the mood to shop and Mom joined in with the "you better watch out". I couldn't help but wonder if you've ever had to call Aaron or your dad to swap trucks in the middle of a shopping trip because you've bought too much. Today especially since the back seat is partially taken up
We love it -- hanging out with the girls. You all continue to make beautiful memories together. After 10 years, I still miss my Mom and Sister. We had so much fun together with shopping , eating, and vacationing together. It is not the same without them. You all have lots of fun together. Love you all.
I’ve been collecting Longaberger baskets for years. I grew up in Ohio, so every year I would make the trek to the factory and bring all my baskets to get signed.
I use my baskets! They are sturdy and mine look like no wear to them.
I used to ride my bike all over that area when I was a kid!! There weren’t any shops, just my friend’s houses back then!! I went driving in the north end a while ago and was amazed of 2 things: How small the yards and gardens actually are! I think they shrunk from how big they were when I was a kid 😂 & how glorious that whole area really is! Thanks for the flood of such fond memories! I was a lucky kid to have gotten to grow up in such a beautiful area! ❤

Love Longaberger baskets. I have several from very small to large and in NE PA they were very popular and were purchased through a home party. Our local tour bus company would take a bus out to OH to tour the facility. Love them!!
