Those metal baskets that open up, set down in a pot, and you steam veggies or even fish using them, with just a little water underneath and a cover on your pot! They're very handy to quickly steam veggies! My great aunt gave me one, when I was first married, almost 37 years ago!

The pieces that look like a strainer are vegetable steamers. You place one in a pan with water. The water should not touch the veggies. Put a cover on the pan and the vegetables will steam cook with 100% all nutrients. They open to different sizes to fit different pans. They’re great to make baby foods.

Don't know if anyone answered - those opening basket bowls are steamers. You open them up to fit in the pot you want to use and put your veggies in the basket. Put some water in the bottom of the pot but no higher then the legs of the basket. Put on the lid and just steam your veggies. Yum!

Steamers are the little metal adjustable baskets. Love the large pitcher. Art is so nice. I can feel your excitement for your shop! You are going to kick yourself if you sell those large square shams😄 Little trash can basket turned upsidedown could be styled as small side table. (just saying).

Those metal-devices you called 'colanders or something' are actually for steam-cooking vegetables. You put them inside your pan and fill water just enough so that your vegetables don't come in contact with the water, but are cooked by the hot steam from the boiling water. This way less vitamins get lost.
I enjoy watching your videos and the things you remake and upcycle.

Those metal round things you said your going to glue and make bowls, are steam baskets. You put it in a pan with some water under it but not submerged. Bring it to a boil and put corn, string beans, etc food you want steamed. It's great for people on a diet. The fenials on lamps are worth a bunch. If you see an old lamp that has a nice fenials it would be worth picking up just to get it. I learned from "Crazy Lamp Lady" VLOG. If you've never watched her it's worth watching. I would love to get the napkins you showed us.

The collander looking apparatus is a steamer. Put water in a pan to just below the steamer cup, add veggies to the cup or bowl which you open up to fit inside of pan. Place lid on the pan and steam till done. Keeps nutrients in the veg instead of in the water.

Hi Julie , Julie here from California. Kindred Spirit in so many ways! The “Table Runner” as you called it is actually an Antique Linen Grain Sack ( likely originally from Europe). I have many of them. People often use them nowadays for bench covers, pillow covers, decor, open the sacks for table runners. They’re awesome though. That’s in GREAT condition! Wash and hang dry when needed. Don’t put in the dryer. Oh and BTW, stockings out of them are great sellers at Christmas time! Enjoy 😁

Great items. Wish we had that kind of sale here. I like that you say why you do or don’t buy items and what’s out dating them. Also adding...I’ve been following similar you tubers for several years now and you are the first person I’ve liked EVERY thing you buy. I wont find some of that here in Southern California. Like I’ve never seen a spare cloche lid ever in my 65 years of thrifting? But your view of items is so similar to what I see. But also seeing new ideas. Remaking the vegetable steamers is a great idea.

Julie, if you still have the magazine rack with the missing wood knob pieces on that one end, I just saw Yvonne @GingerChicRehab replace some missing pieces on her channel when repairing a similar magazine rack. She found a small package of wood knobs/cups at Hobby Lobby. They had to drill them out a bit to cover the screws completely and I think she then used E6000 to adhere it.

I have a red eye machine. It’s nick name for how the flowers look. I also have the case like that another hand crank machine came in . The bentwood cases are 100 years old. My red eye is a treadle and its 1929. Singers are so great. Almost 100 years old and the same feet and bobbins you buy today fit in it! They even made whats called a motor boss on all their cast machines. A place to screw the small motor onto but they had not yet even invented it yet. I find that so future forward. We kind of lost that. But machines are prolific. No one has to pay a high price. Some here in Southern calif try to sell those for $800 no. My area not so many so I paid $125 but it was already in a cabinet and both refurbished. Well you can see my hobby, huh?

@@JuliesDesignsandSigns yay!! Girl my kids think I'm crazy bc I go insane over stuff like you got! Lol. I have so much stuff like that and we just moved in with my folks ( 19 year relationship with the kids father went kaput. He wants the 12 year younger hussy he worked with more than a family so now we lost our home and half of what we owned already and will lose the rest in six months now I'm sure when we have to move again) so I have all the shit I accumulated in two decades in the basement here where I'm starting with my kids and a storage unit and a semi trailer full (60%of it is our stuff the rest is my dad's.)He had to buy it to store our stuff from the old house we lost. It was my dad's second house and we lived in it after my grandma passed n he got it and he begged us to move into it and rent it from him and he lost it to the bank bc he got put on disability right after we moved in so he couldn't afford to make the payments anymore. My ex lived with me for 17 years in it and nvr paid my dad a dime for the mortgage. When my dad's health started declining n he said he was gonna lose the house we lives in and would have to move in with him is when my ex started looking for new supply and found it in a whore he worked with that was married with two kids. Now he lost everything he owned too and is hooked on drugs with her and hasn't been in our kids lives in two years almost and doesn't pay child support or work now. And she doesn't either so how they pay their $1100 loft rent idk. He couldn't even pay my dad $300 a month in 17 years for our home! Smh,). So now, with my health issues, I'm trying to make a living doing anything I can do but it's hard bc I can't just work a normal job or hours bc with having fibromyalgia and all the other plethora of health problems I have...everyday my pain is different and in different places n degrees..but it takes hours to get out of pain enough to even get dressed everyday n I get better as the day goes on and with my meds but it
Makes working a normal job impossible. I wish I could do what you do! I have a craft room and a beauty room too here. But in six months we have to move. So my daughter who's in college full time and working two part time jobs to help me and her brother bc her dad is a dead beat, and I are going to have to get a apartment and split the rent...which was my biggest fear for years..that I would be a burden on my daughter if I left him. And after forgiving him twice for cheating I caught him a third time.,in my car at work and thy busted lip he gave me on mothers day did it. It was the last time he laid his hands on me, so now they can destroy each other's lives. Omg I just went IN on some TMI personal details of my life. I'm so sorry. Wow I guess I was holding alot in.,smh. 😩 oh well I'm sure nobody is gonna read this anyways lol but I wasted a half hour writing it so I'm not deleting it lol. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😂 I wish I could live where you live though bc then I could sell all the stuff I've accumulated and refurbished and made. I love French country and farmhouse and I've really taken to working with wood and have all my own power tools now. Thanks dad lol. And know how to use them even! 🤣🤣 I wish I could have a shop I really do! I think we would be great friends too bc you have the same style and similar personality to me! I get really excited over stuff like that and I can see all the ways I can style something. I have alot of bottles and glass. Prob about 75 Starbucks glasses too. The brown glass ones and the clear milk bottle type glasses. The ones frappuchino is in at the gas stations. I can do so much with those!!

That is a crazy amount of stuff left for the last day of the sale! Wow, I would be overwhelmed! I guess you just have to keep in mind it is a treasure hunt looking for things on your wish list. Great sale! Yes, I am pretty new to the group and have been watching your old videos! In the vintage doll area, I saw a couple of big dolls exactly like my mamaw had sitting on one of her guest beds. My mom sewed her doll a new dress back in the 80’s because the original dress was falling apart. I think she ended up with the doll later when mamaw had to be put in a care home.

Love your hauls - I just found them!! The stains will complete lately come out. I bought a lot of Fred bags at auction that had been in a barn for a while - they were gross. So, I looked up a way to clean them - and it worked - they are gorgeous. All you need is oxyclean. Boil water and put in a tub of some sort - I used a plastic bucket once and the bathtub another time. Add about a cup of oxyclean and stir. Let sit an hour - dump out and repeat. Leave it this time for at least 5 hours. Your stains will be gone!!

Julie, you probably said where is this sale? I would take a vacation to the area to attend this sale.

What are you selling the two white chunky Christmas stockings for? You can keep them until after you style your "Christmas sale". I'd just like to buy them soon
I have lots of mixed fur white Christmas stockings. Those would be a great addition. I don't even know what to say about the baby rattles other than sooooo cute!
    I'd also like 4baby rattles
