Look at the success John Calipari has had throughout his career. To say he isn't a HOF coach you would be an idiot. The man has made alot of young men rich and has built 2 or 3 of the top 10 teams in the history of the NCAA. He has developed kids into superstars and brought BBN back into the spotlight after a 10 year drought. Say what you want but John Calipari is definitely a HOF coach and one of the best of the best. 💯💯 That my friend is just the cold hard truth.
Hes probably go down as one of the best college hoop recruiters of all time. Might not be the best coach as far as Xs n Os but his players will do anything for the man. I lived 10 minutes from UMASS, when he took that program over 1988 i believe it was, I was 6....The team was playing in a gym that would be considered lousy by high school standards let alone D1 in college. They went from being a luaghingstock, to NIT champs, to divisional powerhouse, and at the end of his tenure a perrenial national powerhouse. This all happened in less than a decade, 8 years. It was fun as hell for me as a kid during that time we went to the game at new multimillion dollar sports arena, the mullins center, and I attended his basketball camp for a week one summer. Met him personally, along with Marcus Camby, Lou Roe, n several other of my favorite players from thAt era over the course of the week. Coach Cal could probably sell snow to an eskimo.
Every body can always claim coach cal ain't this and ain't that, but I'm say this, John Calipari is up there with Dukes coach K, Roy Williams, mark few ect. The man was the perfect hire for Kentucky and has been the perfect man for the job. Definitely a hall of fame coach.
Fuck no. Not after his publicly stating that championships aren't the end game for the UK programme. In fact, I blame Calipari's mindset for the slow demise of both NBA and NCAA basketball. For all the recent chatter about watered down talent pools, you can thank this man right here for the staggering number of unprepared and under developed "pro" basketball players in today's NBA.
+Fred Wilson Just stop Duke had been to the final 4 in the 60's as well as the Cahampionship game in '78. K elevated them in a major way, but they didn't rise from the ash heap of college basketball.
@@Fakename70 you don't have a clue what your even talking about. Under developed NBA players??? You do realize that if you make the NBA then you obviously don't have development issues. And the fact that Calipari has had numerous recruits become superstars in the NBA. More than 90 percent of any other coach in the country. You are dillusional if you believe anything you just said.
Calipari is not a good coach he wins off of the talent of his players. Has anybody ever noticed that he wins when he has future all stars but the one year that the best player on his team was nerlens noel they lost in the first round of the NIT
Mesut Ozil Alright I will. He's the only coach in the history of basketball (that's a long time) to put 2 schools on probation. He's had over 30 players drafted in his coaching career and has 1 championship thanks to Anthony Davis. HOF recruiter sure. HOF coach? Lol.
Eh d+3, They won't let you in the HOF. As far as your alleged cheating, California had nothing to do with it. I've coached high school, and there are rules there too, but a coach can't see everything. These kids hatch stupidity on their own frequently. He never saw Camby take money and he didn't take that test for Rose or whomever. But he took responsibility. Memphis was willing to pay him more than he made at UK to keep him. They knew it wasn't his fault. You need to educate yourself and not while sitting on Booby Knights lap.
Damm look at all those players who came for him. Says a ton right there about the guy.
The crowd of former players suggests he has influenced many young men. Good speech
Pure class and one hell of a Coach.
He has had more scandals than Bill Clinton. Every program he departs, he leaves a scandal behind....exam cheating, paid players, illegal recruiting.
@@arisdelis1 He was never charged with anything get lost junior.
Goat 🐐
John Calipari is a real life Ted Lasso. Cares about the players more than his own glory. Proud he’s Kentucky’s coach
Love you coach BBN ⚪️🔵
Cool shit. John the man, wish he would come to SC
+Marc Regal good luck with that hes sticking with uk #BBN
Well he does come to sc every year and he always brings you a l
look at all those players... he deserved the HOF induction just for that.. he helped them make money that they would have never have earned...

say you're the AD of a college, is the first man you want is Cal? He's created Kentucky into a talent spewing machine
+smackduhlip Coach K or Izzo
Kentucky has had talent forever. Ill pick Coach K cuz he built Duke from nothing.

How has Rudy T. Not made it yet?? I don't get it
Rudy T Houston Rockets 🚀 He is a Hall of Famer
😎
Dribble Drive
Bill Bayno is a Calipari disciple? He coached in the Philippines at one point.
Good coach but didn't he have scandals and leave programs that ended up on probation?
Not saying that he isn't a good coach.
lafamilla worldwidewes
Sorry but what is a double shift in America ? A shift here is 12 hours.. so he'd work a day straight ? Lol
16 hours - it’s not easy.
Calipari can't count to two!
OVO
Hes a con artist wants your money and ruins your program people supporting this should be ashamed
Derrick Rose was cheated into college basketball
You still screw Memphis we will never heal

Noel was out with an injury…
+Dylan when Noel was healthy, they were 25 in the country towards the end of the season. That was their peak.
+Max Limmer Yeah I know, it was an off year. Had we still have had Noel, maybe we would have made the tournament. Who knows.
Max Limmer you are an idiot what do you think Dean Smith Coach K Roy Williams won with chopped liver?!!😂😂
recruiting is part of coaching.
Wow, I guess they'll let just about anybody in now.
Tell me he doesn't deserve it

JT Smith he’s a louisville fan😂😂
All those college players that came to this for John shows why he belongs in the hall of fame.
