Deron Williams did Jerry Sloan dirty. He single handedly retired Sloan, I'm not proud that he played for my Nets, we've had great PGs such as Cassell, Marbury, Kidd, Harris, Kyrie, and he's one guy I don't respect.

Because of him Jerry Sloan has to retire early. Guess Jerry was very affected by it n loss interest in coaching. Thus his body went downhill ever since.

He was a heck of a player too. Along with Magic and the brilliant Oscar Robertson, the 3 best rebounding guards of all time. He was as good a defensive guard as there was in his time. And a decent, competent offensive player as well. A very important part of a strong Bulls team late 60s, early 70s.

The moment I will never forget is Game 4 of the 1997 Finals when Larry Miller arrived to the arena during the final minutes on a Sunday, something he normally never would have done due to his religion. Once the NBC camera and Jim Grey caught up with him in the back lot of the arena, and televised his interview and reactions live, John Stockton went on his heroic surge to steal the game from the Bulls, I believe they were down 5 when Larry Miller was pulling up the arena and they ended up winning by 5. When Bryon Russell slammed down the dunk at the last second I have never seen an NBA crowd become crazier in NBA history. It was unforgettable when John Stockton, Karl Malone and Jerry Sloan all ran out to the lot to hug and embrace with Larry Miller. It was the happiest I ever saw any of those four men. I'll never forget it, one of the greatest moments in NBA history that never gets rebroadcast - and this is coming from someone who was a major Bulls fanatic at the time. Jerry Sloan deserved to enjoy the same success and accolades that Phil Jackson and Pat Riley achieved.

Among the top five best coaches of all time (Red Aubeirch , Phil Jackson ,Pat Riley , Jerry Sloan , John Kundla) ! It is enormously sad to realize that he suffered through debilitating illness for more than a year , before passing away today , Friday 22ND , 2020 ! His team was cheated in the 1998 NBA finals , when Michael Jordan clearly pushed off Russell, but no foul was called , and that changed the flow of the game ! Anyway , this 2020 is an all-around sad year , as I didn’t have a chance to pray in a mosque in Ramadan , as all the establishment were closed , in order to slow down the spread of the Yuhan China ‘ s virus !
