- Thank you so much to everyone for listening to and watching “Happy Birthday (pt. 2).” This song has been with me for almost exactly 13 years - we’ve been through a lot together, and I’m excited that it’s now yours too.
What began as a light-hearted, happy-go-lucky birthday song for a friend, seemed to take on a life of its own. It may have veered from my cheerful intention, but as I see it- a little hopefulness was found... Much to my surprise, it quickly became my most requested and “go-to” song. And so it has remained.
I’m grateful for all the hearts I’ve come across, sat down with, held on to, and even simply brushed against. Each one has its place and mark in the big picture. Every one of them is significant to me. Thank you ♥️. x

I think I am getting a little more comfortable being uncomfortable though ☺️. But more than anything, I think the trick is learning how to tune everything else out in the moment…

@@williamgarvy1393well that, I guess I can do. Not the accordion rendition though 😂. I’d have to learn how to play it first. It belongs to a good friend of mine… he somehow got it to a gig we were playing on his bicycle, but decided he’d rather give it to me than put it back on his bike. I’ve just been hanging on to it for him… Although, that was more than ten years ago :)

My Dear Kelli,
I returned home this afternoon, after spending 3 days in the hospital, after suffering a heart attack. Following emergency surgery, I was shocked to find out that my Left Anterior Descending Branch Artery (also known as "The Widow Maker") was 100% occluded--100% occluded! I should not be alive right now; but for the grace of God, I AM alive!
Shortly after settling in, back home, I turned on my computer, saw your thumb nail, and clicked on it. This most beautiful song and music of yours filled my heart and I was totally reduced to tears! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Kelli, for soothing my heart and embracing my Spirit with your beautiful voice! I am forever grateful for you. I truly believe that our Heavenly Father guided me to your channel tonight, so that I might receive solace in my time of need. I thank God, and I thank YOU, for all you are, and all you do (and thank you, once again, for your smile)!

Love this live version. I don't know how many takes you do, but doesn't it feel good when you pluck that last note and know that you nailed it. My goodness, this is wonderful. Real music played by a girl with a guitar, straight up without any nonsense.
Thank you! Somedays, it comes easier than others… this is one that I’m very familiar with (as I guess I should be haha!), so background noise was my bigger issue😉. I had plenty of mess-ups though. I’m not sure I can fully relate- I don’t know if I’ve ever really felt like I’ve nailed anything 😂. I will usually keep going until something stops me, and then hope I got something 😊. Sometimes if I am really feeling it, I will also just keep going though, because it’s so satisfying when it all falls into place. I like those times.

I am really happy to listen again to this beautiful song Kelli. Love it ! I have been listening to the Official Music Video of this song again too. BOth are very nice. The sound is different but I like both of them. It's incredible the sound you can get with audigo little guy ! I also love the backgrounds you make with this accordion, the old portrait looking at us, the plant, the salt lamp (I have the same :) ) ....The colours are beautiful. @@kellimoyle Ha! The seaside is not treating us well at the moment..or the rest of the country. We are still waiting for summer to begin. Lately daytime temps have been about 60F and 50F at night..with so many rainy days. On the other hand your nearly 100F would be a bit much ! 😮😅!..maybe next week . Stay cool ...x

I have to say that mere words don't do the job to describe this performance. It was so evident that this song meant so much to you, and at about 3:28 when you closed your eyes - I was trying to envision what you were seeing. When you opened them - your eyes looked on the verge of a tear ( and I am sorry for that) but as you finished and looked over the your shoulder towards the window behind, it made me think you are moving toward something new, and perhaps even better. and then you smiled that incredible smile and I immediately thought of the Nathaniel Rateliff (And It’s Still Alright) and that made me smile - thinking - wow she knows she is gonna be alright! You really are something special - I hope when you read all these comments you realize how much everyone
( especially those family members, friends and acquaintances you have commenting) as well as one's such as myself, love your music and love who you are. I just returned from Scotland and heard a great saying up in the highlands - " Every man dies, not every man truly lives " so Kelli, what say - let's really live !!! :) Thanks for sharing - looking forward to a performance that you want to sing b/c it makes you happy ! Hi Kelli ..be interested to know what the other 2 guitars are beside you in this. Your Gibson is obviously your 'second skin' but as with many singer songwriters some turn to other guitars for reasons of tone and effect. While no guitar can match the beautiful timbre of your voice i believe experimenting could possibly elevate it to even greater heights. Have you considered a song with a nylon stringed classical for example? Is there a particular reason you chose Gibson? I play an early 80's electo-acoustic Ovation roundback ( as in profi pic) which was inspired by my great love of Cat Stevens (hint,hint Kelli😉). The tone of the Ovation, i believe, would really compliment you.. and you would find the round back a comfortable fit. I am sure by now the local music company is throwing gear at you. I can just imagine in a couple of years time, the comments on here! ' omg have you heard? Kelli's gone electric!!' 😮😂. Keep smiling x
