- Wednesday marked one week since the release of “Waukegan Woods,” and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you all! I don’t think I will ever stop being at least a little bit nervous when sharing something new, so receiving your heartfelt comments has been more than uplifting. Thank you for sharing your stories about how the music has impacted you. That means more to me than I can express. Hearing that my music resonates with you is everything I’ve always hoped for. Your kindness and support really do make a difference and genuinely mean the world to me. I will not forget this.

I don’t mean to sound overly dramatic, but this whole experience has changed me for the better. You have played a roll in that and thought you should know.
It is the largest Jade tree I have ever seen too! My parents planted a broken piece from another plant years ago and it just kept going!

Kelli. Time will come......and will go. What a poignant reminder for me as I approach 80 years and reflect on the flow. How did your rendition make me feel? It brought on a bittersweet nostalgia - both a profound gratitude for my journey and an urgency to fully use the runway I have left. I still have dreams! You've spurred me to pull my long neglected guitars our of their cases and attempt to leave my own legacy for those I care about.
I really felt this, thank you… it sounds like I’m doing my job then😊. Or it’s at least it’s what I’ve always hoped for. I really love that perspective and how you’ve described it. It’s perfect.

Time knows, indeed. And time will show that black and white was an excellent choice. So beautifully done. Very uniquely written lyrics that flow like melting butter over warm toast. Your vocals are like butter too. I think we, ( your fans) feel like we are curled up next to you as play and sing. Like everyone's favorite cat. Soothed, warm, content.

Excellent. Not sure what version I like more. Guitar work and vocals are a bit better on this one but the other version bass line catches me a bit more. I will play them back to back a few times.
Thank you. I wanted to show both sides of the song :) The studio version was recorded around ten years ago and the first song we did. I think there is something special about that- I was still living that story. But the story has a different meaning now- it also has aged and changed along with me too. I appreciate you listening. x

I am using a mic called Audigo, and I record both video and audio at the same time through their IOS app on my iPhone. I know the mic is capable of more than I do with it, but I record all in one take and in the app I can make subtle adjustments. For example, I usually add a little reverb and bring the sound forward a touch by adjusting the “presence.” So far, I’m really happy with the mic and I especially love how simple it is.
