I'd never taken much notice of Dua, apart from one song she did with Boccelli. Now, i love her. At around 1.45 into this, she does a move, and I checked her other performances - it shows THIS one was so important to her. She really gives it so much more.

@@Rose_19911 very. Kevin Parker a huge inspiration for what he can do just by himself. writes, records, and performs all the instruments on the Tame Impala albums. He even helps in the mix and masters and sometimes does it himself. His 2015 album "Currents" changed the game, and everyone wanted to work with him because of the songwriting and sound design he achieved. He worked with producers and did stuff, but after Currents, he was doing Lady Gaga, Gorillaz, Travis Scott, and became a sought after producer for modern pop albums.

As someone who generally doesn’t like or listen to pop music (I listen to all styles of music..mainly metal), I have to admit that Dua Lipa is absolutely incredible. Beauty aside, I really appreciate that she actually sings without a ton of auto-tune, and that she performs with a live band.
She is preferable to Coldplay, however, being on death row is preferable to Coldplay! 😃

Pop isn't my usual bag but DL's got it all, beauty, sex appeal, stage presence, great songs, great moves. She's the real deal and no mistake. I'm not generally bothered about Glastonbury but from what I've seen of DL's performance on YT that must've been one hell of a show live.

"Minimal backing track" ?? - if that's what you choose to think. There's a lot going on in that track, lead vocal is def live though. Virtually everyone uses tracks these days. Having said that DL is one of this generation's best and brightest and gives me hope for the future of music.

Am I the only one upset at the cameraman breaking away from "THE" action constantly? He totally killed the momentum of the hook of this choreo where they all kick their legs to the side during the hook of the melody. It's so catchy when you can see this whole part without interruption.
That’s part of the Glastonbury vibe. You have to roll with it. The artists absolutely want audience participation. It’s only right to show the crowd as they are a part of the performance.

No she wasn't, Hugh Phillips. You can clearly see that she shortens a few phrases. Her backing singers take some of the heat of her sometimes to give her space. Her dancing is also carefully measured. You clearly know nothing about her and her band. So cut your snide cheap comments out. Thank you.

Not a big pop fan by god the work from this girl and her team is really impressive. Minimal backing track all night and the vocals are unbelievable giving the effort put into these performances. I tilt my hat Dua.

Anyone who knows what they are looking for or listening too can say she's not miming for sure. Ask anyone with any level of vocal training and we'll tell you she's just off pitch just enough that it shows. Not in any bad way not at all. I mean like a singer busting their butt physically as well as singing can not be perfect every single time. That's the reason I stick to guitar and backing vocals and leave that level of skill to those who are simply better at it. She's so good it could almost fool the ear for sure
who is saying this? The changes in her volume and the regular breaks from singing and letting the backtrack take over are clear cues she's singing live! She's giving herself breaks so and singing softer in some part to pace herself.
Haters are attention seekers. Maybe in their next life they'll have better ears and will be able to differentiate a live mic with a blend of background vocals and some recorded tracks for echo effect. Perfection!
