And yet you had performers like Michael Jackson who was able to perform live with more complex and energetic dance moves and still able to hold his own microphone throughout it all for 30+ years. When she can do that, then I might see her as a great performer.

@@ladeanbartlett2530 I didn't mentioned Michael into this why mention him? We know he is great and that's a fact. it’s not the “let’s go” or the choreography, if you know music that part of the song introduces new chord changes and they were able to “transport” the melody to work with those new chords. The effect is amplified because all along the verse + chorus chord changes occurred over only one bass note, "D". The transition to new chords + new bass notes is such a high point it feels like an ecstasy and she exploits the momentum with dance moves. It’s great

Same! No need to call her a guilty pleasure - I grew up on punk rock and classic rock, but was always taught that there was no shame in loving great pop music. From ABBA, to P!nk, to one of my all-time favourites Carly Rae Jepsen, to Taylor Swift, and to Dua Lipa!

Well, Miley has been consistent in some area (lol...).
Otherwise she wouldn't get *any* attention.
At least Dua Lipa is bringing something else to the table.
That said, I couldn't care less about such performances, personally. I obviously clicked for her and the tunes, mainly, and not really about the dance moves and the silly comment wars regarding them...

I'm not a Dua Lipa Stan by any means, but she fucking killed this performance-- holy shit. If anyone shit-talks her singing, try wearing knee-high boots, long hair getting in your face, supporting your body weight against a metal cube you can easily slip and fall on, and dancing and singing at the times.
Houdini might have not performed well on the charts, but THIS is how you get people to pay attention to your music and new album cycle. For the record, I didn't care for Dua Lipa's first album, but I have to say, Future Nostalgia was pretty good, and I loved Houdini (both the live performance and song). Yeah, I really hope the third album delivers.

DUDE I AM GEEKED WITH THAT SET DESIGN, SO SIMPLE YET SO CREATIVE AND EFFECTIVE AT THE SAME TIME. Training Season's set design was the best example of this, cause it's so fitting with the song's analogy and theme, and loved how they actually used man power to make the set dynamic ,UGHHHHHHH IT WAS SO GOOD AND I JUST CAN'T GET OVER THE PART AT 2:03 WHERE SHE SINGS "time is passing like a solar eclipse" AND AT THAT SAME TIME SHE GETS BLOCKED BY THE MOVING THING UGHHHHH IDK WHETHER IT WAS INTENTIONAL OR NOT BUT IT HAS BEEN SUCHAH LONG TIME SINCE A AWARD SHOW STAGE DESIGN HAD ME THIS GAGGED and the cameraman??? major props to them for filming this performance with a good direction, managed to make it even more effective
