I sent you all some goodies and they should be there soon. It’s just my way of saying thank you on behalf of both the four legged herd and the two legged herd as well. Thanks for the amazing videos. Sending love and prayers. ❤
That was very kind of you to do. ❤️
How precious your heart is. That is so sweet of you❤
Just got our One Herd merch and lucked out and got a block. I was surprised how small it was, do they come in various sizes? Keep up the amazing work!
Does anyone have any idea what kind of birds we are hearing? I've not heard their calls before(except on other videos).
Great video as always😊😊😊
Living with hidradenitis suppurativa, I completely empathize with these poor cows. Abscesses and infections are no joke, when it comes to pain. And that pain IS immense. Thank you, Graeme, for your care and attention to these precious creatures, and the farmers that care for them! Hidradenitis suppurativa, btw, is an autoimmune disease that causes constant infections and abscesses. I've dealt with this for over 30 years, with more than 40 surgeries to lance/remove impacted abscesses. Pain, with this disease, is a way of life. I wish more human doctors were as compassionate as our Hoof GP!
Oh my goodness. I think my aunt had a similar problem. She was in the hospital a lot of times with her feet. I'm having trouble with mine because of being diabetic. A podiatrist messed up my two big toes. Geez, sometimes I wish I didn't have feet.. that andy trapezeous muscle on my right side. Ugh
Sorry to bother you
But the pain today is excruciating. Hopefully you are feeling well ❤️🩹
Bless your heart. This is such a horrible disease.
@@sylviajones6745 I use 4 different skin creams that have worked amazingly for my nerve pain, Fibro, neuropathy, arthritis, sciatica, and stenosis. They are OTC except 1 but of course check with your Dr. Some are actually in the Diabetic section. I'm not diabetic but live with horrible debilitating pain as well. These work great & give hours of relief. The creams are Topricin Fibro cream, Frankincense & myrrh, Blue Stop massage gel( most are available on Amazon & CVS. I use CBD/CBN balm with the smallest amount of thc(may not be available in your state or country . Oh Battle Balm also works wonders They do make a Hemp alternative as well that is OTC in almost all states and many countries.
I know pain and if I can help someone else suffering then I tell them about what has helped me. You may want to see if you can use any of these. They bring me hrs & hrs of relief. Lidocaine patches help to also OTC but they are garbage. Script ones from the pharmacy work really well for me. Hope these could help you. I get what you say about wishing you didn't have feet. Had one bout so bad with my back that I could only lay on my left side in the bed and not move except for bathroom for almost 2 months. Even that was excruciating. I feel so much for these cows. I Do Not drink dairy partly for the last 18 years. This is partly because I can't have milk because it makes my Erythema Nodosum flare and inflamed my stomach & guts, and the other reason is exactly what is in these videos. These are the farms where they take really good care of these cows. Could you imagine the farms that don't? Every time the cows shake in the crush I shudder. So glad that Graeme gives them such gentle & loving care. He's such a great guy. 😊
Prayers for peace and comfort while you are dealing with such a dreadful disease.🙏🙏🙏🙏 I know these videos bring me such comfort.
Nothing better to brighten your day than to see a video from Graeme whose attention to detail and love for the cows brings a huge smile to my face. I love watching someone who loves their work.
Amen!
So true as I discovered his videos in January after my brother died and they've really helped to be honest.
@@chaley2935I’m so sorry for your loss! Finding a heartwarming channel like this, is good for the soul!
Never fails to amaze me how delicate and accurate you can be with that big grinder. Seems to me that trimming hooves is just as much an art as it is science.
I cringe every time he uses it! 😱
That comes from lots of experience. Graeme really knows what he is doing.
@@joycampi7233
Nothing to worry about. He's like a surgeon with a scalpel with that thing. This isn't his first rodeo.
As he says, you can be gentle with the grinder. You cannot be gentle with a knife. Same reason a sharp knife is safer in the kitchen
Has there ever been a cow that went beyond help
A real professional. Those cows are so lucky to have someone like you walking on this planet.
This poor girl really had a bad hoof problem. I'm glad you got to her and made her feel better.❤
Graeme, I really enjoy all the background noise! The birds, the other cows, the machinery... it's a farm! You're always apologizing for the noise, it's good!! And also, when you're in the zone, your passion for what you're doing is so clear, and you literally purr!! I love the little abrupt "Oh!" when you start to see something!! So glad that you and your team are living your best life!!
A wise man once told me that different between a calling and a job is one thing (however he want talking about the care profession eg nurse, doctor etc). That one thing is if you have always wanted to do is care for someone who needs help - then that’s a calling. BUT if you’re only wanting to do something just for the cash then that’s a job.
It’s like the difference between a manager and a leader- a manager clocks off at finishing time and doesn’t want to have anything to do with the job till his next shift, where a leader is available whenever they are needed not just 9-5.
Hoof trimming is your calling because you always have the cows health and wellbeing always front and centre 😊😊😊
I wonder what that makes me.
I was a healthcare professional for forty years. While I was on the clock I gave my employer/patients 100%. If needed I would work OT but never sought it because time is more important than money for me.
I liked the work and the patients, even managed to convert a few 'difficult' patients. I don't miss it much-doubt I could physically do it now. But I am really glad to have had an interesting job helping people that have me a decent living and retirement.
@@bcaye for you it was your calling because you cared and as you said “you gave it 100%) a jobber would have just turned up and gone through the paces 😊. However no mater what I would like to say thank you for caring for all those people who you cared for 😊.
@@stevenhartley1350, I guess I expected to miss it more. In another crisis like COVID I would go back part time if I could find the right place.
Thanks for your input.
On vacation in Scotland right now and having a wonderful time. There's no other place in the world like it. Love the USA but Scotland has my heart.
You are a legend sir. You explain things so well. In fact my 12 year old went to school and drew all the different parts of a cows hoof and explained what they were all called. Their biology teacher was impressed 😊
Their???
@@Jimmy94411why is that so shocking?
What's the issue?@@Jimmy94411
I could feel for that poor lass especially at the end when she had her foot off the floor , thankfully she'll feel the benefit of the block in a few hours . Great job as always guy's .
Yeah, she was pawing with that foot like, “It stings….!”
She's a feisty girl! She's going to feel better in no time, now that hoof is drained, trimmed, and medicated. I really enjoy watching your team at work.
10:07 THANK YOU ❤Craig!!
For always setting an AWESOME example for Graeme to follow, by ALWAYS wearing your eye protection 😁😁😁😁😁
First I got my daughters hooked and now I got my wife watching with us as well! Keep up the amazing work, gentlemen!
I got my son into these videos.
Neither my husband or son will watch, so I watch and learn alone.😊
I had a bone spur on the heel bone of each foot. They were so painful that I had this weird double limp/hobble thing going on when I walked. After getting them removed, I feel a million times better. You're doing good work, and I can relate to how the cows feel, both before and after.
Ty for helping them and being so sensitive to their feelings. It’s good you’re as gentle as you can be and u take ur time doing it..
Wait til you see the missus.
We watch your videos for the hoof fixes, personally I would prefer to hear the noises of the farm rather than the music which sometimes drowns you out.
Agreed
I liked the bird calls, they sounded happy and didn't drown you out.
Oh that poor girlie. I am just so in awe how careful you always are with these girls. You are definitely a blessing to the cattle industry.❤️🐄❤️
As someone currently wearing a medical compression boot because I broke the out bone in my left foot, I've now got an understanding of how having a block on feels.
The boot is designed to put any weight I do put on the foot to my heel and instep rather than the bone which leads to my little toe which is the one that's broken. It helps but feels weird and can leave the inside of my foot feeling a bit sore.
I've got another 5 weeks or so of this and it's a right nuisance, but luckily I can take mine off if needed.
@@xxrockraiderxx hope you get healed soon. Not much fun. I started breaking things in my 80's. Don't know who thought it was a good idea. M
I usually watch your videos in bed as I go to sleep. I kinda have a lot of trouble sleeping and I’m not sure why, but your videos help a lot.
I think it’s just watching someone fix a problem for an animal in need is relieving.
Idk, but just wanted to say thank you.
I usually watch these videos before I go to bed also. It relaxes me before I go to sleep. Seeing someone trying to help these cows. After watching what us humans do to each other, what we do to each other (if that sounds right). Just makes life a little bit better. See I am a disable veteran, and I have seen the worst of humanity. I also have to dill with myself everyday for the rest of my life. Just waiting for medication to kick in, so I can get some sleep, and watching these videos just help me so much. Thank you for these videos. God Bless ❤❤
Poor lass. Looking forward to seeing updates if you can! She was in so much discomfort while you were trimming, but hopefully she is well on the way to being happier and pain free. Much love to all x
How could that poor thing have put up with all that before the trim? It’s incredible. And so is what you do to give them relief and the help they need to start healing.
It does my heart good knowing you and the team help these gorgeous ladies who do so much for us!
The cows may not love the process, but they definitely appreciate the results. Greame finding his dream career makes the world a better place for all.
shoutout to the editor: i really appreciate how you change up types of videos. how some are music and voice-over heavy and some are narrated during the process; some long, some shorter. im sure there are reasons for each, but it’s great for keeping videos fresh and interesting
I have noticed that the videos seem different more recently. I didn’t know there was an editor. I love all the videos regardless of how they’re made but every time I watch one I’m waiting for Graeme to walk out of the house out a cup of coffee. Miss those ones and Craig and Kevin too
Thank goodness you have the strength to do this please keep us updated ❤
So glad these cows have you to help them
I got my order and am so happy, as it arrived the day I got released from the hospital after a serious illness. It made me feel better.
That looked really sore, poor little cow! Glad she got the Hoof GP experience. It was funny watching her shaking the sore hoof at the end trying to get the block off because it feels weird haha 💜
I really like your humor. I love the compassion you have for the cows. God bless
All respect for the cow! I love the longer beefier ones that are a mystery. I’ve never been so fascinated until I found this channel. Who would have thought you’d be addicted to Hoofs!
Graeme, WHY ARE YOU NOT WEARING EYE PROTECTION????
Every cow needs someone like you!
I love the empathy that you have for the girls - and guys, when you have them. Thanks Graeme - from the girls - and the guys too. :)
Everything you said Graeme about the girls and the wonderful relief the blocks permit, the girls to have, from their pain while they heal, is why I cherish my block with the glue on it, which I was given a couple of weeks back from yourselves. Oh yes I treasure it. I do not like to think how much pain and suffering could eventuate for the girls and occasional boys were it not for the work you do in ministering to them and their hooves. It is wonderful stuff and this girl stopped and she looked right back to you.....to me that was this girls thanks and appreciation to you. Yes her hoof was sore but she was fathoming as it was a post treatment sore and now on the mend sore. God Bless you all always. Amen.
Great job! Poor girl, lifting her leg at the end nearly broke my heart but I know the sensations she was feeling are new and that she will get used to it and be walking better down the road.
That poor girl. Glad you were there to help her.
Thank you guys for the compassion you show to all the animals you work on
I think it's more of a vocation, a calling, to you than a job. Your care and sensitivity of the cows well being and comfort show it.
I feel so sorry for that poor honey! All the hugs I was sending didn't seem to help...but your gentle hand sure did. Thanks Graeme!
Having feet issues as a hooman, I doubly appreciate the help you give them.
My dad and I were talking about this channel yesterday and a question came up that neither of us had an answer to: what happens if on a single foot both claws have problems that require a block on the opposing claw?
That was a great trim! This girl will definitely be feeling better thanks to the Hoof GP!
As always, I love how you explain what is going on and what you're doing at the same time as you are clearly concerned about and working for the cow. Truly love you, Craig, and Kev!!! :)
Your job is so different every day so that is why I love watching. You care so much for these wonderful creatures.
I've been watching your videos for quite some time and I just want to say how much I appreciate the kindness you show towards these animals. You genuinely care about the animal and it shows. They deserve the compassion you give them and I thank you.
It is always interesting to see what you do to help these cows to feel better and to heal.
For so long I had thought this was neglect, until i started watching your videos. I really didn't realize that their hooves can get that.
Poor babies, they are so scared. You are doing the best thing for them, and I hope they someday realize that you mean no harm and that they will accept much needed love from you. You are wonderful. Love you guys. ❤
Dude, I don’t know what you shoot this on, but I must say, your videos are the most brilliant & crisp. Just lovely videography. And of course the hoofs & banter. Cheers💙
OK the "This trim must be extremely delicate" voiceover followed by a cut to him grabbing the grinder made me laugh.
Ah….poor lassie…..had to be such a relief to have that done! Appreciation and love from FLORIDA!! USA!!!
Thank you for being gentle with her 😊.
Hello Garaem,Kevin and Craig and Robbie
It's clear how much you care about caring for this cow & making her feel better. Thank you ❤
Poor little lass! God bless for helping her.
Thank you Graeme...for all you do. Shout out to Kevin and Craigie Boy ❤❤❤
I love how they always seem to look back as if to say thank you😊
I watch these videos because you care about them so much! I can tell how much you love them, and I'm glad to see how much you do to help them!!! You're a good man, Graeme!!! ❤
I don't think it is an overstatement that the block is saving her life. A cow in pain doesn't produce as much milk, so she's not converting feed into milk efficiently. If it becomes a chronic issue, she won't last on a farm as a milk cow. By relieving her pain, you're giving her a chance to heal and continue on the farm.
The False Double sole pan over to you and the photo bomb bull in the back ground ........I am still laughing!!!🤣
Oh good someone else caught that too. 😅
I LOVE THE HOOF GP!! :)) I caught this video SO EARLY!! i'm excited to watch this!! (You make me want to do this as a job when I get older lol!!)
I alternate between cringing waiting to see what you will find and saying "poor girl " Thank goodness these ccws have you to help them ❤
Seems like the new knifes are much bigger. I'm interested in the upcoming videos if your cuts are as clean as they have been for YEARS. Just going off looks I'm not a fan but you are the master. I'm just a pleb who likes your videos.
Thanks, HGP and Team. I know I felt better when that dermatitis was opened up - I can only imagine how the cow felt!
Feel so bad for her. So glad you took great care of her!
Episode 2 of suggesting a Hoof GP app after the “game” the other day, with levels increasing in trim difficulty, and educational content. Would happily pay money as I’m sure a lot of us would!
It did not appear that you were all that comfortable with that knife but you did a great job just the same :)
These videos are so interesting. I thank you, Craig-boy and Kevin. ❤️ love from Oregon
So glad you could help her!🐄❤️
I love the bird noises… and the farm noises.
That was very satisfying to watch. I am sure she felt tons better afterwards.
Good Thursday morning from Turua, New Zealand!
Good Wednesday morning from Oregon, USA!!😂
Good Wednesday evening from Dublin Ireland..We are living in your Past
@@deselby6669 you are in my future 🤣🤣🤣
Good Thursday morning from, Grand Prairie, Texas
Why do I love your videos so much? I don't know. It's like all the good things about decluttering a space in a game, but also mixed with healing and rarely is this stuff as gorey as most normal medicine. It's really nice : )
You are amazing the way you care for these sweet girls, thank you!
watching you clean up that hoof wound reminds me of a wound I had once, filled with things things that needed to be removed and boy the pain a relief it gave me was immense. so I can relate.
The way you were talking about the infection that Gets into the cows hoof, And then you put the block on to keep that sore part of the cows foot off the ground.
People who have artificial knees can know exactly how that cow feels. I finally got my knees. Replaced in 2018 and the difference in the amount of pain I felt from before I had them replaced to after was incredible. I got up less than 10 hours after they did my knees and walked around my hospital room and then got back into bed, and the doctor came in the next morning and said, how were you walking around on those knees?
So yeah, somebody was replacing knees can know exactly how that cow feels.
I really enjoy watching your videos.
Thx for All of you ❤
I was watching this with my grandson who watched your channel before. However the first thing he said was “ my goodness another one with Turkish teeth”
Having said that learning heaps from your channel🥰
All I can say about your videos...."Awesome"! You do a much-needed job that a lot don't know about. I grew up working on a farm here in Washington state back during 70's. I love watching the care you take in doing your job in helping these cows/bulls feel better. Keep up the good work and will be watching as always.
Vocation was the perfect word for what you do. The fact that you get paid is just the extrinsic reward.
You always amaze me
I tried watching other trimmers and I can’t get into them like I do you thanks so much for all you do for these blessed animals
What a blessing you are to these bovine! Thank you Graeme and all the crew for sharing this with us! Thank you also for helping this poor cow! I have problems with my feet, so I truly feel for her and all the others that y’all trim! Love and blessings boys!❤
Completely fascinating. Reminds me of time spent at my old land lords farm when he would trim the cows hooves. Cows are such cool critters.
Do you think the cows understand that when they exit the crush they understand it helped their pain? As lovely as they are they famously aren't known for their keen intelligence so i wonder if they just behave like "thank goodness I'm out of the squishy thing"
Or "oh it hurt but it's better now"
Thanks to you whenever I spray anything - kitchen cleaner, paint, hairspray - I think "spray dry reapply" though I don't often actually follow those rules it has helped with my application of both paint and varnish.
The Mrs. must smile when she sees U covered in the Trade debris w/those pearly whites.😁
God Bless the whole Hoof GP Team!! -SE Houston, Texas❤
Thank you for your care of these sweet girlies.
I love your accent. I'm in the USA but am from Scottish and Irish descent.
Thank you for helping that big baby 🌸
Really enjoy your videos and the help and relief you provide to these animals. Never realized there was such a job or guys who did this. Been watching your videos for quite some time now. Thank you
❤love your videos, you are a very caring person, you really care about your work and all those fur babies. Enjoy watching your videos. Keep the videos coming and God bless you and your family.🐂🐃🐄
Rough watching her writhe in pain, but good job as usual on relieving her pain and fixing the issue.
i saw a video a month or 2 ago of this guy who does this is New Jersey and his crush laid the cows on their sides and there was nothing against the front/top part of the hoof and it just looked so uncomfortable and painful. i’ve never seen anyone else as caring or gentle as you, you are the GOAT, for sure 🐐💪🏻. i’d also never seen or even heard of a crush like that but he said that’s what he learned on so that’s why he’s sticking with it and what he knows best which makes sense but it seemed like it made the cows a LOT more stressed than necessary 🤷🏼♀️🐄🐾🤍🖤
Poor girl, hopefully her issue heals quickly now that shes had a visit from The Hoof GP!
Next time you are there, you tell those birds, you’d like to speak to their manager! The absolute disrespect! 😉 😂
Glad you are able to help these gentle giants. It’s been many years since I worked a dairy farm, but I always loved the girls! They were always great with us, and had their favorites.
I've watched every single one of your videos from the start back in (I think 2019?) & at the end of every video I think to myself " I wonder how on earth these poor cows managed with all that pain, discomfort, lameness etc before you and your wonderful super hero team came along and not only worked hard to fix the individual problems but also educate the farmers themselves on how important your job is and most importantly how important it is for the cows so that they can live longer, happier and more comfortable lives. It honestly blows my mind the difference the 3 of you make to these cows, bulls lives. Keep up the great work and thanks for being you xx
Great outcome
Anyone else think that the hoof horn sometimes looks like a forbidden potato? ❤ thank you for always taking such good care of these animals ❤️
