Every time I'm at home peeling potatoes I always pretend I'm Graeme and I narrate all my cuts😅
Quick little model up, wee little balance, shave a bit down here and away we go!
Love it.
" . . . And this cavity is caused by potato tuber moth. I'm being very careful not to cut off any more than I have to . . . "
Start a channel and call it The Spud GP
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤪🇨🇦🇺🇸💪
We lost a bull, found him 2 weeks later in a pen of heifers. He was a happy boy.
How many babies did you have afterwards? (Not be snotty)
I bet he was! I wonder how many of the heifers he bred… 🤔😅
I was going to say that the heifers were probably going to become cows pretty soon.
@@mlatham23 actually, a heifer is a female cow that has not been bred before
@ultimatewitcherfan6677 cool my first thought when I started to type was those weren't heifers any more. Then I over thought it and decided maybe they needed to give birth first. I have mostly spent time with folks who worked with cows not been involved myself.
A cow's instincts to hide their lameless is so strong. I bet this has been happening for a while.
Good job to the farmers for noticing things asap!
You’re EXACTLY right!!
I'm getting better finding where the bad spots are. I wish Graeme would give us the name of the new wrap he is using that is biodegradable.
"And just like that, she is walking worse!" LOL, I appreciate the honesty when you say the same thing my eyes are telling me. ;-p
Thank you Graeme for always giving the sweet cows (bulls) a rub on the face when you're done. It definitely makes a difference in their care, for them to know it's okay. It also always tells me that you're a caring, compassionate man.
Put a red and white stripped beanie on the bull. He'll be much easier to find next time!
I was thinking LoJack.
I get it, dairy farms don't have the most pleasant of smells to begin with, but when Graeme says something "absolutely stinks" in THAT environment I can only imagine how bad it must smell. Thanks for being you and doing your thing!
😅I was thinking the same thing! Lol!😂
Same!😂
I had the same thought lol. I think he does a wonderful job caring for these animals and you can feel the love he feels for his job.
Right!?! When you are literally head to backside with cattle and say something really stinks, it is REALLY bad.
Dairy farms aren't that bad smelling. Being from Wisconsin, I almost fund the smell soothing as well, we are the Dairy state...
When my grandkids come over, they always ask, "PopPop can you put on the cow hoof guy"? Haha LOVE your videos.
This is so cool. Thanks for sharing.
Great time with PopPop.🤠💕💕🐂🐃
Man, I feel like I’m the youngest one on this channel in my 30s.
@@ferretyluv I'm 69.
Omg that's so sweet.
That fact the ya stand there with sh*t on your face, acting like you DON'T have sh*t on your face, is freakin hilarious and part of the enjoyment 😂
Something that people don't fully realize is the cows are the farmers livelihood. They have the incentive to take care of them because they're animals but also because the income they get derives from their health.
That's one reason why animals that are a source if food are better treated than those that are not
Ppl have no clue how much money goes into these animals; to buy them, feed then and vet care 🤑 A sick animal is money wasted.
They're not pets, but there is no way to avoid becoming attached to them. You take care of them because in the long run they take care of you. @@ashb4smoke
I know all about cattle I live in Wyoming USA. We raised cattle. We moved them around by horse back. But since that bull black I can how you can't find it. We have strong fences. Most people raise Angus cattle.
Why is it that some people do not understand it's their livelihood of course they're gonna take care of them
As someone who suffers from constant ingrown nails, I really appreciate the care you show for these cows. Also it sometimes hurts more to get the problem fixed but there is an understanding that you're better for it
Brilliant idea using the drone to find the bull! In the beginning, I was wondering why they would be calling HGP out to catch a bull... He's probably one of the few locals with a pricey drone like that.
Right? All the fancy filming stuff ends up coming in useful for everyday life!
I can definitely see a business plan there!!
Drones are often used on farms here in New Zealand
When your tone dropped from the usual bright cheer to serious concern, I knew it was serious, hopefully you get a chance to update us on that lovely lass. You did a great job
I couldn't of said it better. Without folks like The Hoof GP, farmers would be at a loss
Yes, please update this little lady.💜
I like telling people one of my favorite RUclips channels...the host often appears on camera with shit on his face...with no context. Love you Hoof GP
You are a beautiful thing for the cows, just think of the relief you give? God send to cows❤
Graeme you’re amazing. It’s so important that people who don’t farm understand that farmers have to be interacting with their animals. They don’t just turn them out to pasture and leave them. I raised meat cattle, sheep, goats and chickens. All the animals can get into trouble overnight if not well looked over.
He needs that one dog not really a particular breed but the smart dog. My Grandpa Gibson says he only found 3 in his life. The dog that just knows what you're saying. He said he had one growing up if you sent him out for a cow or bull by name he brought it back. He would go close the gate when the kids forgot. Mom even had him guard the pie from kids and flies. Thought grandpa was pulling my leg till I found my dog. Never had to train him he just does what I say. My kid tried to smoke dog took the cigarette and put it out. Lost a kitten in the back yard asked him to find it he dug it out of the wood pile and brought it to me. Got a thousand stories like that. Just tell to be on the lookout when God puts a dog like that in his path or he will miss him or her and be grateful everyday because I am fighting to keep mine alive right now.
A marvelous, wondrous, dog.🎖🐕
Lifting you and your dog in prayer. I had mine. She died three years ago on Monday. She was just exactly as you described. Someone dumped her in my neighborhood and she wandered into my backyard and refused to leave. She was a 100 pound pitbull and someone had cut her ears off so she looked ferocious which made it impossible for me to find a home for her. So she became mine. She was the best thing that’s ever happened to me. She was perfect and I’ll mourn for her for the rest of my life. Wishing you peace.
Sounds a lot like a border collie to me it's a fantastic breed
I grew up on a pig farm and we had a border collie as our family dog
We could play with him and sudenly he'd run off and we didn't know where to untill one day where my dad was doing some work in the stable and heard the well known scream from piglets who's mother had layed down ontop of them so he ran towards the screams to save the piglets only to see our dog barking at the sow so she'd get up
After that day we knew never to try stoping him because we knew he was running off to save piglets
The only downside was that every time the truck came to take the pigs to slaughter we'd have to lock him inside because he wouldn't let the driver step out the truck
I had a bluetick coonhound like this. I've had many dogs but she was a once-in-a-lifetime dog. I really miss her. I took a friend and her elderly, blind dog out for target archery and her dog wandered off. The dogs hadn't met before but I told my dog the other dog's name. My friend panicked when she couldn't find her dog so I told mine to go find him. It took her about 2 minutes and she came trotting back with him following.
I have mine now. He’s gotten me through the absolute worst parts of my life (so far) and saved my life several times. He naturally alerts to my seizures and just knew what to do. Although, we did have to refine his alert because the first few times he alerted he would bark like mad and headbutt me in the back of my knees to get me to the ground. We taught him to paw instead 😅
He just beat cancer and I really hope we have many more years left.
Always excited to see a Hoof GP video go up, Graham is a true professional!!
12:06 Graeme, just before you cut to the next shot. About a third of the screen in from the left and up a third from the bottom. He appears from just behind a bush, between the two sections of scrub. There's certainly a much darker, possibly black, blob there anyway.
A tip for though. Release a bulling cow and follow her with the drone! I bet the bull shows up within 20 minutes.
I can't see him. 😕
@@Desert-Dweller It's a pity we can't screenshot to YT comments. I think I should have rewatched before posting tho because I'm not convinced now after going over it several times.
@@lemonladyYT Maybe you can do a zoomed in screen shot and the time on the video the share on one of hoof GP's other sites
@@bartelselisabeth That might have been worth doing if I still thought it was the bull. Regardless, he might travel in the meantime so I reckon letting a bulling cow out for him to find is the better option.
I can't see anything like you're describing here. But at 12:24 we get a view of that same spot from a different angle. Can you still see it in that shot?
As always, thank you Graeme for helping this sweet girl, and showing us her face.
It is always nice when you can call on family to at least try to help 😊 I love your videos. What I have noticed about bulls, who are by themselves, they will stay in a forested area for protection. The one good thing you have on your side is that it is winter time and most of the trees are bare. See if you have a friend who knows a friend that has thermal imaging. 😀
Greame and team show a lot what farmers deal with while raising beef and milking cows. Farmers work hard to keep their herds healthy and happy. 💜🐄💜
You might check with some of your police departments. A lot of them have a fleur thermal image camera. They are not that expensive.
Love the teasing between Graeme and his mates. I have friends in North Dakota that 'misplace' a steer now and then.
How tasty is said misplaced steer?
Cows are a huge part of our every day lives in one way or another for people like all of us and Graeme plays a huge part too. Thanks for taking care of all the cows who take care of us daily! 😊❤❤❤
I used to live in Wisconsin and was surrounded with Dairy farms, and those cows were babied and taken such good care of. The better you treat the cows the better your dairy does. It’s a fact. Listening to the cattle farmers talk in the local feed store was always educational.
Around here I see them stuck in Barnes and never able to go outside. Their calves are taken away from them. The minute they’re born, and when they no longer produce, they are shipped to slaughter. So I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
@@WisepatiMaybe depending on the region they treat the cows differently?
Poor girl is on the mend now! Beautiful scenery shots Graeme of the: hunt for the bull. Thank you❤️🇦🇺🏴
Your videos gives me a better appreciation of farmers/ranchers and what they have to do to get food to the table. Thank you.
I love Hoof GP!!!! You are so happy doing wonderful things for hard working cows and bulls!!! Thank you!
I was wondering what that wet sound in the background was. Thank you for addressing it and showing the automatic scrapers.
I feel less bad now about losing my car keys. Best of luck on finding the bull. 😉
These videos are just long enough for me to enjoy on my lunch breaks, some of my coworkers have noticed and find it a bit strange😅 but as a farmer's kid it's nice to watch these
So nice to see and hear the job being done with no music and no cameras panning away.
Thank you!
The bull 🐂 is where the cows are isn't he🤔
Thank you for looking after those cows feet and giving them pedicures.
And thank you also to the farmer for having his cows looked after regularly and thoroughly. Well done 👍🏻
Such a beautiful world you live in! Great job done for the girl today!❤❤❤
WOW SO SO PRETTY THIS FARM --SORRY HE CANT FIND HIS BULL BUT PRETTY FARM HOWEVER 🥰🥰
My mom and I love watching your videos, especially your videos with absesses, she goes “ooh pus, how fun”🤣 (she used to be a nurse, so yeah

AMAZING GAG REFLEX 😂😂😂😂
Your new lighting really shows the detachment. Thank-you.
When y'all find that bull, put a GPS tracker on him. lol
She has such a beautiful face. Thanks Graeme for her and for us. 💜
You are so professional. Thank you for your videos.
I know it’s not “hoof” related, but Mrs HGP is rocking the pink merch!, Top model. ❤❤
Thank you , watching in The Netherlands
Me wishing drones were a thing back when I had to find the cattle and breaks in the fence years ago. Although I can still hear the voice of the older generation - "always want to do it the easy way" and shaking his head...
It's funny the number of folks finding the spatter on your face amusing. You live on or around cattle, it's just normal. My son when he was about 7 or so, got both feet stuck in, well, we told him it was mud (oddly green mud), and just fell over backwards. Completely covered! Good times...
That is wonderful news that they are taking such good care of the sweet girls.
Awesome that you were able to help this cow. Thanks for this video
😊 Hope Mark finds the bull. Thanks for a great video❤
Graeme, have you ever lost your drone? I love the aerial shoots. I enjoy watching your channel because you are authentic and down to earth. I’m passionate about animals rights and you seem to genuinely care about the cows you trim. I have always been drawn to visit the Scottish Highlands and I love you sharing your countryside on the channel. I’m from Australia and currently it’s 32c but feels like 37c due to the humidity. Can’t wait for your book in October. Congrats on your success🤩
Poor baby noe that she’s getting the help she needs I’m 🙏🏾for u mamas get well ❤️🩹 soon baby I love farm animals grew up with my grandma 👵🏽 first few yrs of life she taught me very well not afraid too get my hands dirty for these blessings from God I would happily care for them get dirty if that means great health for them!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Poor Matt! Thanks for the longer video!
Received my HGP coffee mug in the mail today! Thank You!!!
Oooh, that’s a bad one, poor girl! I know that was tense but, you did not give up and she will be much more comfortable! She is in good hands and the farmer is also taking good care of her!💕🇨🇦
Your bull was going looking for doughnuts! Bulls really like doughnuts!
Good job and she is on the road to recovery ❤❤
You are so kind whit these cows it’s touching me
Thank you ❤ ❤❤❤
HGP: I LOVE YOUR STUFF, it's so refreshing to see someone making such a difference for good. Near the end, when you went to look for the bull, that sounded like the guitar line on Zombie! what a great tune.
I love that intro song "I Fall Into You" . . .love this podcase as well.
Me too, I love it ❤❤❤
I’ve never been this early! I love watching your videos. I wish you could post more. I can’t watch other good trimmers anymore because I just think that’s not the way HGP would do it 😂
I was so very happy to hear Houses on the Hill again! ❤️ You’ll be called out on all the S$R operations now!
I hope she gets better real soon. I feel so bad for these poor cows that have problems like that with their feet.
Thanks for a great video. Glad she's in your care.❤❤❤
WHERE'S THE BULL??
you always do such a good job at taking care of the cows and giving them the best care they need
I adore you and all you do. Your family is a blessing addition to your videos.
I’d join, but I can’t afford to, bit please know, how much love and happiness you bring to bovines and humans who watch you or who do what you do with the powerful heart you may share.
Much love from Vermont, US ♥️🐄
I'd love to come work with you guys. Ya'll seem to always have fun working together. I've been out of work for three months now and struggling to just find anything at this point.
Keep having fun cause it's making me smile when I see you guys having fun...
Love you guys. Wish I could afford one of those cups and a hoodie. Living on disability just doesn't work for luxuries. Just to show others that what you guys doing is very important to me and those animals. Why is it important to me is I know what it is to take care of them myself. No I didn't do what you do , I was just a child at the time. I miss the life of the farm. No I'm not asking for anything just letting you know that I am really impressed with you guys for doing what you do. Also proud of what you have accomplished. Good luck with your channel young man. Love you guys allot.
Hi Graham, Kevin, Craig. I've notice that you are now applying the glue to the block before attaching it to the hoof. You used to do the opposite (Apply to hoof and then attach the block). I'm curious as to why and if there is a difference in the longevity of the blocks by doing it this way. I really enjoy your videos. You all are amazing at making these cows better. Maurice from Canada.
My partner didn't know what I was watching when he looked over (at around the 3:45 mark) and went "what on EARTH is THAT?" He was relieved to hear it's a cow hoof. At first he thought you were trying to salvage the world's scariest potato. "Just throw that potato out and get a new one, man!"
So HGP actually stands for Huge Gnarly Potato?

😂
That was a sick burn, by Matt, at the end. Mad respect, son.
Omg the baby cow is so cute 😍😍😍
Our lovely host seemed rather irritated as he found more layers of detached hoof. Glad to see the cow was helped! Thanks for the educational video!!
12:17 that broken down farm is heartbreaking 😢
Also beautiful. Is it for sale?
I dying to explore the remains
Missed you at the World Ag Expo this year. Maybe they can have you back next year. Love your videos.
I have truly learned so much about cows! I never really thought about cows, being a city girl my whole life, but they are fascinating animals! ❤
Jeepers saw your face and knew you weren't happy with that trim exposure.
Hey you done your bestest, top job and she's already trusting the block and walking more easily 😊❤
Was driving to work on a 2 lane highway through the woods when I came upon a cow. Moose, bears and deer were fairly regular sights but this was a first for me. Tried to catch it to no avail then tried to find the owner of a nearby farm but there was no one at the house or barn so had to go on to work. Not sure my boss believed me.
I feel sooo good when cows start to walk better !!!
I need to travel to Scotland and book an appointment. I've gone lame and think I need my foot rebalanced and wrapped. The doc just gave me some meds and I'm still not walking as well as the coos leaving the crush.
GRAEME... upload the unedited footage so we can go through it slowly!!!! Cheers Ausgranny 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤶❤🐄🐂
My 6yo saw the thumbnail and immediately said, "did he cut the corium?"
🤣🤣🤣
❤❤❤
I used to watch hoof gp in Canada with my dad, who had Alzheimer's but really enjoyed watching. He has now passed away and I moved to the UK, I stopped watching for a while, but I am now watching these amazing guys again. I have now got the majority of my colleagues watching as well.
I was driving home from work and couldn’t wait to get home and watch some HGP 😂 perfect timing!
Our neighbor lost three steers and we helped recover two quickly. The third became a ghost, being spotted here and there in the area. We would see him and then he would disappear into the tree line before anyone could react to recover him. Finally, a year later, he had joined another herd on the other side of the creek and was brought home. They can be very difficult to find, even if they are very close.
Thank you for the content! I have been following you for quite some time and I watch your videos every night to go to bed. ❤
Thanks for helping them.
Received my t shirt thanks for the block 👌🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Good job with the cow...🐄 hope Mark finds his Bull....poor thing..🐂 he.ll be lonely..
GREAT JOB‼️however, when you put the block on the other hoof, it appeared as if there could’ve been white line issues. How did you know by looking that the other hoof barely needed any trimming?
There should always be a picture-in-picture of the cow's face so we can see the girl's reactions - her honest, unedited reactions. I always want to know to what extent she might be handling any discomfort, but I really want to know what a cow looks like when experiencing that AHHH+goosebumps relief that we are all sharing with her!
Yep... I asked ages ago if you had a drone. I guess it was a rhetorical question, I knew you did. 😅 You all will be in the U.S. soon, if you aren't already. I hope you, Ashley, and the kiddos have a great time in Florida and in Tennessee. It will be much colder, but a lot more beautiful there! Loads of mountains... just beautiful. I hope you all enjoy both. 😊😊😊
Good job, as always guys!
The countryside is absolutely beautiful there I’ve always wanted to visit there it’s on my bucket list to hopefully go one day .
Love the green glue😊
All animals are awesome
Great job finding & fixed as best you can for now!🎉😊
I’d love to see more footage of trying to find the bull! That looks quite interesting and I’m now very invested.
I don’t know why but I enjoy watching you
I was sitting on my bed with my granddaughter who just turned 21 on that day, and as soon as the music came on she knew exactly what i was watching. Hello from lower Alabama! ❤
I love the intro makes me so relaxed really wanna no wat it’s called
Good for you guys, you know just what to do. Thank you for your great work.❤❤❤❤
These farmers are vital to their community. In a world full of over processed food, I admire farmers for taking very, very excellent care of their herds. Animals will hide their weakness. When you see it, in the wild, it is to protect their lives. Great job, farmers !
Essentially you give cows a pedicure haha I love what you do You're amazing❤
You always make me proud of your work
Did you train HGP.
The bull is probably in the tree line trying to figure out what that whirlybird is doing🤠
