Thanks for this @Omegaredish I will be getting this game in the MVC Fighting Collection for Switch alongside 1 year of Nintendo Switch Online and I hope that these tips will be of use to get started
This is awesome as a big Resident Evil series fan as well as a big X-Men fan, I’m fine with starting out with Jill and Iceman, I mean sure I would eventually like to branch out to other characters but, just to learn the game with these are fine.
Great video thank you for this! Please do more! Especially for the mvc collection very excited for it and I'm getting into mvc2! Great videos and great work. Keep it up subbed!
I think I may use Iceman as my point though as I tend to be more of a Marvel fan than a Capcom fan so, yeah I’ll probably use him on point with some good beginner friendly assists as you mentioned
Ok well I think I will just use Jill on point, Iceman in mid and then Captain Commando in anchor. Sure it’s not the best team in the game as I saw from one of your replies to another viewer but, if it will be a good enough team to learn the basics with then I will absolutely do this
@JordansMortalKombatAdven-xn3qo enjoy, and let me know if you have questions! Remember, I set this up as a blueprint for people to follow (a main, an antiair, and Projectile assist, or the MAP concept).
Ggs and thanns for the games! Improving small things in this game can usially make you 10x better, and the people who used to beat you suddenly can't or have a harder time. So keep working on your fundamentals and your combos, you'll get better, I'm sure!
Maybe I will use Jill though as I am a big Resident Evil fan as stated though so, I don’t know I will try them both out and see which one I want to use on point
@OmegaReddish I saw you did a video on the top 5 anti-air assists for beginners but, can you do a beginners guide on the top 5 projectile assists for beginners as well?
i just coming back too this game its been a while i jsut dont like using fight cade the buttons are wierd and it hard for me too map the buttons correctly i played this on ps3 days dang on my cousin account
If you want a suggestion based on my video, you can try Jill, Iceman and Captain Commando! It's not the best team in the game, but a good enough team to learn the basics!
One analogy is saw was mvc2 kinda play as prison rules in the fighting game sphere, do what you have to do to win no matter what, even if it is cheese or straight up just not fair 😂
@@OmegaredishOh for sure! They took years to perfect their craft in this game and I respect them for that. But as a new player myself it's survival of the fittest lmao.
this video's unscripted, so it does drag on a little bit since it was done in one take, so i think it couldve been better if it were better 'prepared for' i guess? , but i think it's okay! also i think to avoid potential confusion with UMvC3, maybe you could change the title to something like "MvC2: 5 Ultimate Tips for Beginners in Marvel vs Capcom 2"? i think the word order you used is kinda odd while the text on screen helps split the video into the tips, i think if you specifically said what each tip was as you started, it might be easier to follow along. suddenly cutting the number of characters from 56 to 2 sounds weird on paper and it takes a little bit before you explain why you said that. also theres things you couldve fact checked before recording, like which assists are what types (sentinel drones is A/Ground), what supers have what motions (jill charge super is quarter circle forward rather than half), and the input for rolling (which is '412' or back>downback>down, not half circle forward/'41236') (and the number of characters 😅) i think if you took a couple seconds to go over how the magic series works (the 1 2 3 4 in the air combo) that might help people more, im not sure how many people understand how the magic series works coming from other games (mainly since mediums are weird when you start out) also the music in the back at the start makes the video a little cluttery audio wise, with the game music still on underneath it
Ouch! Actually all true! Not fully unscripted though, I did try to go over things I wantwd to talk about, and did the best with what little time I had. -- This video took half a day to make! -- and for what, maybe 50 views? Going over the assists per characters was very much unscripted, so I guess that explains the amnesia lol! Thanks for your suggestions, I will keep them in mind for the next ones! I hope you got something good out of this despite of the flaws you saw!
I think these are all reasonable limitations given you don't have forever to work on these videos. But I thought you were more direct, slow, and more beginner-focused than other videos I've seen. Honestly, very helpful and very good
Most players nowadays, have not played a versus fighting game before. For people, I'm assuming, like us, aged 30 and above who prabably atleast played children of the atom, marvel super heroes, xmen vs street fighter, etc. We had some sort of background how Marvel VS fighting works. I've been coaching beginners lately, and zi could see where they were lacking, it's how I came up with Jill and Ice Man. But maybe I will also make a tutorial on which top tier teams to learn first.
@@Omegaredishyou should definitely make a tutorial on which top teams to learn, i think that would be helpful especially for beginners like me, I really want to use what i assume are lower tiers like jill, sakura, or gambit but people always tell me the higher tiers completely stomp every character without explaining why lol, so i have no idea how they out class other characters or what to look out for or anything of the sort.
@@himbofication alright, I will keep it in my queue. But aren't there enough tutorials abiut top tiers out there? Just curious, because I would assume there are? I can definitely cover it using my style of teaching though...

Hi! Thanks! I'm glad that you found it useful! Yes, more will come!
Your channel is great. I am glad I found this. Keep up the great work
And I'm glad I found you! Thank you! More content like this coming out soon!
I think I may use Iceman as my point though as I tend to be more of a Marvel fan than a Capcom fan so, yeah I’ll probably use him on point with some good beginner friendly assists as you mentioned
If you want Ice Man on point, maybe choose another projectile assist to cover him and ditch jill
Ok well I think I will just use Jill on point, Iceman in mid and then Captain Commando in anchor.

Jill, for beginners is good on point
Good information
Thank you! I have more tutorials if you look around, and will make more eventually!

Awesome!

Are you playing the collection?
Thank you for making this you cooked
Glad it helped!
so which of the two teams am I supposed to use? I'm kinda lost about what kind of team to pick and where to even start practicing.
If you want a suggestion based on my video, you can try Jill, Iceman and Captain Commando! It's not the best team in the game, but a good enough team to learn the basics!
Step 1: Pick the broken characters.
Step 2: Cheat and repeat.
@@TC1Z2L3 can't deny that it actually works lmao!

@@dyons05 it is true to some degree, but also look at the top players in the world, they're the ones that put a lot of hard work in the game.

Why not have newbies learn top tier first? Either team scrub or black heart sent commando are solid for teaching them how to control space

Doom is a great beginner character. He is all around great character and archor assist
@@MB-wc5mz definitely top tier. But I'm not dure if I would begin with him as a point. Maybe as an assist?
