I'm glad you have this series up. Older fighters usually have a lot of guides off websites like wikis but having someone really knowledgeable explain it w/ videos and visuals is way better for people like me. I really love this game so it's good to get a basic understanding of this game's mechanics and much more visually instead of reading an explanation of it. Hoping this game gets a 3rd chance and can get an official re-release again w/ rollback these next couple of years.. it's too special of a game lol

Man this series has been so helpful gconcepts, as a long time fighting game player who came in from sf4 and is now trying to learn mvc2. Yipes and matrix definitely need to have you on an episode of no frillz
I think I read that Storm Sent Cyclops is called Team Matrix bc Storm is Trinity, Cyclops is Neo, and Sentinel is the name of the evil robots in the movie

Ay man thanks for the hardwork with these mvc2 videos. Do you ever plan on getting with Duc or another spiral player and trying to fill out some stuff with them? I feel like there's a big gap on tutorials or informational videos when it comes to sprials and I would love to learn more about them.
MSP wasn’t good in the beginning because we had to play on old crappy cabinets with bad buttons but once we got to bring our own custom arcade sticks things changed; we could actually execute consistently with magneto and that made MSP instantly dangerous.

You didn't seem to talk about the strengths of cyclops, you would use him over psylocke or commando if you wanted a better point character or being able to meterbuild even if you lost storm

Been over a decade since I played competitive mvc2 nor continuously watched a series of vids regarding marvel - RIP ZACHD and Preppy archives - You're my go to MVC2 Channel rn - Keep up the great content! - Quit this game 2006 I think and was a local top player here in my region in the philippines (not manila) at Standard Damage
I'd like to point out that Cykes startup vs Capcoms AA is a lot better and can just scoop on close quarters while CapCom on close quarters at times he just overextends depending on the spacing

Whats the best iron man teams? How could are they in comparison to these teams? I’ve seen thrillah use iron man/war machine/cable?

Love the series. Dumb question - how do you get the custom colors? Like white sent isn't LP LK HP HK A1 or A2...
You need to make or download a mix that has custom colors. There are groups on Facebook that have them, search around!

Would Cyclops work with Magneto and storm?
Yeah he does there are some really good MSC players in the world and the team is pretty solid...takes some work though
@@gconceptz awesome good to know! The XMen are in their prime ever since the House of X/Powers of X storylines in the comics, and that team just evokes that energy for me. So one side of me plays as a fighting game player while another side of me plays as a comic fan haha!

I noticed you didn't mention any Ironman teams, where does he fit in all of this?
He's technically outside the top teams, but typically you are going to see Team Combofiend if at all. Iron Man has to fight for his life against Mag/Storm/Sent (not the team but the characters in general), and he gets shot a LOT, but if you make those touches count it is Operation: One Player Game. His assist also changes a lot since it sets up so much for many characters.
@@blackkimchics Ironman Cable sent has been a stronger team over combofiend. Ironman plays very well against mag but has a super hard time against sent
@@Blackreapxr It's not better than team combofiend or even team row, mag is too good in neutral with drones against tony if you aren't running into anti air assists. Sure, Cable with meter and repulsor blast is strong af but good luck getting there in 75% of matches.
I don't know if you check this any more but it's good seeing you bud. You might not remember me but we used to play on PSN a bunch. My claim to fame was sending you a :( message while you were doing IM infinite on me and you laughed so hard you dropped the combo.

Fightcade got me back into Mahvel. I've been searching tactics against teams but they're non-existent. Help ya community out with matchups or against certain teams etc

bro change your horizontal stretching to 101-103 get rid of that tearing on the sprites, i love your shit but those tearlines driving me crazy.

This game would be a lot better if the assist was limited to 7-8 per each character and the infinite were limited at 20-22 hits. Players would then need to strategically think when to use assist instead of constant spamming, but then again that's just an opinion.
Nah, you can't limit assists, there'd be hardly any ways to open people up. The infinite prevention system could use a little work, but the most broken thing about this game is clearly guard break. That goes, the game gets a LOT better
Always love content from knowledgeable people!!! You briefly mentioned how mss can use drones or rp, maybe you could make a video on mss with drones vs rocketpunch. Being pretty new to marvel I'm learning thrax but mss and ssc are both really interesting teams to me
