That is one beast card.
***** JUST IMAGINE PLAYING DOTA ON IT. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST.
***** nice seeing you here in linus' channel.
Broken Cereal you can play with 500fps which is totally useless
nudl3Zz WHICH IS WHY IT'S A BEAST CARD.
Broken Cereal to play dota just get a gtx 750 for 1080p and for 4k get an r9 280/280x
I like coming on youtube and looking at things i can't afford
We all do
lekan adams I know that Feel Bro.
*hugs
lekan adams TT
Work harder slave
TheMerkageturk lol call me a slave. Is that because I'm black because that, that is clever.
Also I do have a job
Lastly I currently have a 780ti which is a beast of a card so I think I'm good for a couple more years.
#slavemasterrace
Lol MSI sponsoring an Asus video
TheCovertCamper They are not.
Daniel Leon It's just funny seeing Linus covering Asus products while being sponsored by MSI.
TheCovertCamper
They gotta cover computex, wether MSI likes it or not. lol
Daniel Leon You must be a real joy to talk to...
I don't like how Asus is pretty much replacing ROG with Strix
norkoilija I agree, I was looking forward to an aesthetic similar to the 980/970 strix. This looks more like a Matrix card.
norkoilija I think they won't completely ditch the ROG brand, it just too strong and recognizable for Asus. They are probably just trying to stick some new brand (Strix in this case) onto their other products which are below the line / cheaper than the ROG products. I assume they want to ditch that "generic" names like GTX 960 DirectCU II OC and such and go with the Strix as it's much easier to make brand awareness out of it in the future.
norkoilija All of Asus's gaming products are under the umbrella of ROG, in this case we are talking about graphics cards. Strix is the lowest end Asus ROG cards with a very high emphasis on silence hence the owl mascot, there is also the Poseidon which is their hybrid cards, and the Matrix which is the top of the line card from Asus that proudly represents the ROG branding.
I thought they have the ROG Poseidon model too for the 980 ti?
I just want their old style DirectCU II coolers that featured on the HD7970 and the GTX 580. They had a big aggressive look and didn't seem just slapped onto the card like they are now.
Definitely do a full review on the strix please!
Those both seem really badass, I'd love to see a full review of both of them on your channel.
Can't wait for these new 980 Ti cards! Looking forward to you guys' review of the cards to see what the results are. ^_^
Looking forward to all of these various 980 ti card reviews. I wonder, how long from reveal until release on these aftermarket cards?
I really want full reviews for both! I especially want to know if you could have 2 of the ten-key modules on the keyboard for a ten-key-pad and a macro pad.
great video man!! card looks sick and the keyboard!
Argh, I need the benchmarks for these NOW! I can't wait :D
I guess I've found my next keyboard. Love the modular numpad idea.
What about phantom glass?
So what happens when you put a 10 key add-on on the left AND the right side? Yes, I like living dangerously :P
The keyboard will explode, your Pc too.
I like Eric N's version most, I'm going with that!
ThaTyger Lightshow or lasers or both.
Ekin Eryılmaz holy shit... and what if you add another one to that O_o It's limitless. I like your thinking!
I'm waiting for the review :>
So when are we getting an RGB build, lol? I mean, hey, it's going to happen EVENTUALLY, right?
RangerLab YES PLS
RangerLab I basically have one. RGB Corsair KB, RGB case lights, RGB CPU pump, RAM light bars, RGB Desk. Just don't have a RGB mouse.... yet.
B.Jay what no RGB mousepad? HOW DARE YOU, SIR
That Claymore keyboard looks super cool. I might have to see about picking one up once it releases.
You did an excellent job on this Luke. It sounded a lot more natural and even a bit happier than when you use the teleprompter.... Wait you do use a teleprompter back in the office right?
Thanks for showing that first look at the 980Ti Strix Luke!! I will probably end up having a pair of these to fold on the LTT team soon :)
Really liking that keyboard and all the utility it offers!!! Nice!
The construction and design of the cooler looks solid. I currently own the Strix version for the GTX 980. It's been a fabulous experience so far and I am confident this one won't be a let down. Great video as always, Thanks Luke and Linus for this coverage!
I am interested in that STRIX as well as the way they have it plugged in. Imagine the custom case builds.
Please make a full review of that keyboard!
I'm looking forward to seeing how well all these 980ti cards run.
I would LOVE a full video for review / comparison of this keyboard Vs corsair's!!!
Definitely want to see a review on the RGB claymore. Also do they come in blue switches?
Wow, I think I want both of those for my new custom watercooled rig that I'm building.
Is there an review video of this card on LTT?
I just hope they make a 980ti hybrid. now that would be awesome
Check out JayzTwoCents channel for that, only RUclipsr at the moment that has one, EVGA branded
Mark Smyth i believe he has the 980 hybrid not ti
Russian Krotov Mark is correct, it is the 980 ti hybrid.
Russian Krotov he posted a video today, he got a hybrid 980 ti
Russian Krotov He actually has both. Just released the 980 ti hybrid review. He is the only youtuber that got a sample to review.
That ten key add on is awesome. I really like my K65 RGB from corsair though.
Wow that keyboards 10key add-on is brilliant.
To be honest, I think there needs to be more keyboard videos. Luke, no rest when you get home, i need 10 new keyboard videos.
Looking forward to this keyboard. Perfect. Tkl with matching numberpad for those to also do work in their PC.
Those mouses aT 3:55 looked awesome.
Wonder if there would be any way to add in a second tenkey pad so you could have an insane macro setup and a normal number pad
i have this and i had to cut a hole were the hdd's go just to get it in the nzxt h440 razer edition
It's fucking huge
Microsoft did that thing with detachable numpad long time ago, on Sidewinder X6...very nice feature.
please review on both of these items
Keep the videos coming! I think I will wait for pascal, and my Corsair K70 (non RGB) is doing me just fine... Ha.
any word if the design of the strix 970/980 will be available anytime in the near future? I really dig the design of those cards and was planning on using them in the Lian Li PCO6S case but decided to wait for the 980ti hoping they will keep the same design.
What was you old intro called, the one from Adhesive Wombat?
I hopa that you will get one fast to reviewed it, and try to get the Poseidon version also!
What is the PC case that the card is in?
Do you think this card could fit in a H440 or Noctis 450??
Asus strix 980 ti full review would be AWESOME!!
those RGBs...damn that looks slick
The irony that he immediately started talking about the Asus booth just a short while after thanking MSI for bringing them there.
I got my eye on this 980ti, waiting to see the MSI variation
That keyboard looks so nice!
...Except for the textured metal. If it had a nice smooth look I would buy that keyboard in a heartbeat.
When is the Claymore coming out?
The motherboard sync interests me, does this work with older 8 series boards?
I can confirm it fits in the first gen Antec 900 case (I need a better case though, so much dust getting through, ugh), but you have to move one drive case up to make it fit and probably sacrifice one for mere cover plates (which you can unscrew from the drive cases) to fit two in SLI, but, surprisingly modular case for such an old thing, the first gen Antec 900. :P
I am interested in the Claymore keyboard, however I hope that they have one with a num pad and use it as a daily driver
is it standard bottom row? one of the reasons i didnt get a k65 rgb was because of the silly sizing. I actually want to put keycaps on the thing.
I'm excited for the claymore keyboard!
do you know when the keyboard will be available?
WOW! Over 3,200 rpm at max fan on that card. That has got to be insane crazy loud at 100% fan speed. I hope that it is not too much taller than the 980 strix version, other than that it looks great and should be a beast for overclocking.
that card is freaking sexy! great looks and that heat sink and fans should keep temps low cant wait for the review
Holy shit those temps in an open case.
This thing could heat my entire house!
Ducky Shine 5 is also using Cherry RGB switches.
I am planning to do rgb led strip lighting behind and under my gaming desk, which is in the shape of an L.
What could I use?
I need at least 10m, It's not only my desk but the whole room.
And an rgb IR controller that can handle it (or also a amp connected to the same psu?).
I hope to get something with at least 700 lumen/meter
I do have my own 12v 15A 180W power supply.
Is that a standard bottom row I see on the claymore? oooomg
I want a claymore NOW!!! It looks amazing and with the aluminum look with RGB it just raps all I want in a keyboard
Can you use 2 10-keys and get both the numpad and the macro pad?
How is the 980ti mounted in that position?
They used a PCIe extender, but how diz they screw i im place?
That's the best looking 980Ti I've seen so far. WOW
What case were they showing the strix in ? love one of those :|
will the numpad sold separately with the keyboard? Thanks
Please can you tell me which is the most powerful gtx 980ti between the asus strix 980ti and the gigabyte g1 980ti??
Anyone have any idea when we can maybe expect the Claymore to be purchase-able?
when is the keyboard coming out
When is the keyboard coming out? And what about the price?
I want to know about the EK water block for the 980 Ti STRIX so I can make plans "NOW"
That keyboard strikingly reminds me of the latest Logitech ones, esp. the keyboard layout/button placement (media/sound-wheel/G-Keys...).
I want that keyboard. Its modularity is cool
So beautiful! But I do want to see MSI's version of the 980 ti to decide which 980 ti I want.
I like that keyboard almost as much as a k70.
If it was a little more toned down with just a simple backplate I'd really consider buying that
That looks so cool
What happened to this keyboard? Since June there hasn't been any updates on it.
Really tempted to swap my Blackwidow Chroma for a Steel Series Apex M800 or this Asus Claymore.
The Claymore seems REALLY versatile, and though it's not a "gaming" switch the Cherry MX Reds are tried and true and just damn good for anything.
But I heard this also has other switches on it, would really prefer all reds if possible, compared to the blue they feel incredibly smooth.
Can u do a comparison between 2 970s in sli vs a single 980ti. I would find it very useful :)
A double sided cooler would be cool, like have the heatpipes go over to the other side of the card, with another heatsink and set of fans.
Do you think this card would fit in the Corsair Bulldog?
i would like to know what cpu case is used to mount the nvidia card? please anyone.
so far gigabyte has my eye on their 980ti windforce
TheRealKoncept zotac has a great one
Me to ill decide on g1 or strix once i se Preformence. I never oc gpus
TheTarne seriously? i got my 980 running 1510 mhz
TheRealKoncept The rgb lighting really sold me
TheRealKoncept I've got mine at 1585MHz...
Damn I need to upgrade to one of those!
and also if the claymore rgb has music sync mode?
Love that new keyboard from Asus!
I'm hoping the directCU III cooler doesn't sag in the case like directCU II...
MY FRICKING DREAM CARD! I have a strix 970, and since the release of the 980Ti, I wished Asus would make a strix edition 980ti :O
I wonder how its priced next to the hybrid cooler from EVGA. Sure technically this is a 600w rated unit, which is a little higher than the AIO, but the ability to dump heat directly out of the case, or alternately use intake air directly without risking recirculating exhaust is worth it in its own right. Also worth mentioning is not only does the AIO system provide a smaller (thus better compatibility) card, you can change the fan on the AIO's Rad, so not only can you tune your noise\performance to your liking, you can also change the looks to match a build. So I sure hope that Asus is willing to price aggressively, because it looks like it'll be pretty competitive in the non-refernce gtx980ti market.
is the keyboard out yet i want one it perfect for me
about the card:
i love that the 980ti just came out recently and now people are making it available, which made pcpartpicker support the 980ti!
The DirectCU III cards look even better than my DirectCU II 780 Tis. I think the third fan gives the card a more balanced look overall.
And are those heatpipes even bigger than they were in DirectCU II? Those things are massive.
That card looks beast and clean. But don't you think it might be heavy and start sagging? I have a asus strix 970 and it's a little heavy and it sags a little.
Linus, when are you going to bench this thing? lol I have an old old old graphics card and want to make a leap of faith into the GTX 980 ti arena, but I would feel better having you review it first :D
That is a very nice keyboard, fills a good niche in the tkl market.
That keyboard looks amazing.
Someone knows where I can get the molten golem at 0:52 ? Thanks!
I really like the STRIX, have the 970 STRIX from them and love it
