    Be sure to check out my new update video! where I go into more details and background on this test.
    After posting this video, I realized I didn’t need to pull the upper up at all. I could have just pulled the trigger with the safety on. If the takedown pin fails, pulling the trigger with the safety on will cause the upper to be pushed up. Ironically, the safety in this design actually makes it more dangerous.

      yup, currently it looks a bit weird 'hey you lift up and pull the trigger and it falls apart' :) of course none of this should happen with anything considered a weapon anyways

    Tnx for the test. This happened to me while shooting my converted Stinger II compact. The upper suddenly opened up, jammed two (alu) bolts in the front while the bow was still loaded. I think the vibration within the shots made the takedown pin get loose (its "spring" did not apply any pressure and the tolerances to the hole are a nightmare). Steambow received immideately a report with pictures from me. My take was that this is a safety hazard - Please check your stock. Sadly, they appeared to be not interested at all. I also did not receive any offer for solution. Only copy paste sh... saying I did not assemble correctly.
    All in all I was shocked how a company could launch this into a European market and not caring about any responsibilty / ownership regarding the safety hazard. For me it was really difficult to release the jammed bolts. The bow was still on full tension as the bolts / arrowss blocked the way for safe de-cocking. Closing the upper was not possible since the bolts jammed it open.
    In the end I just started using the M10 again after purchasing a 3rd party take down pin. Different but safe design.

    From what I've seen and heard, the M10 is probably best avoided until Steambow get these things sorted out? The Stinger 2 is a fantastic bow, but l think they've gone a step too far releasing the M10 before the faults were ironed out.

      You should take a closer look on the Trigger mechanism of the Interceptor. The string is only held from above. If something pushes it down or the crossbow falls to the ground it can go off accidentially, even the safety is engaged.

      When the 'AR-15' pin falls out, the bolts can fly out on their own-especially if you're moving around with it. Since the M10 is marketed for dynamic shooting, I had to show what could happen-without actually risking my eye.

      @@jonnes__4657 It’s not a hard problem to fix, but honestly, there shouldn’t be an issue like this on such an expensive product to begin with! You make a great point, too-another reason why this friction pin is a poor choice for a crossbow, especially since they recommend lubing it up every 5 shots. 😂

    Do you think Steambow may have been sabotaged by Poe Lang?? Making time friendly yet sub standard products on the cheap, and charging full production costs?? Granted, it should have been picked up quicker. But I did hear about Steambow returning product as it didn’t meet standards. This was soon after the first batch of them sold out in UK.

    Have you ever had a jamming problem with the M10? I've seen videos of this crossbow jamming and it did something similar, putting all the arrows flying in all directions.I also have a repeating crossbow, the adder from ek archery are also crossbows with a lot of jamming
    To be honest, these repeating crossbows are all complete shit, they are sold as tactical crossbows, but it's all branding I was thinking about buying the M10 but the magazine doesn't seem to be well designed if you remove the magazine while there are bolts inside they all come out, it doesn't seem very tactical to me apart from the rest of the flaws it has

    • @Dutch_Defense_and_Survival
      @Dutch_Defense_and_Survival  3 месяца назад +4

      @@RenatoBacteria308
      I haven't had any jamming issues yet with the M10 upper, but I did have a takedown pin fall out after about 40 rounds. The bolts even came loose while I was just moments away from shooting, which has made me hesitant to use it in its current state. If it was indeed the M10 where the bolts came flying out, that was likely 100% due to the takedown pin issue. The bolts can only come out from the sides if the upper separates from the lower body.
      In that scenario, jamming could push the upper up, and even firing with the safety on could cause the upper to shift. I haven’t mentioned this in my videos, but if the pin fails and you fire with the safety on, the upper could jump up, creating a potentially dangerous situation. Ironically, the safety itself could actually make things riskier in this case.

    So you opened the superior part of the m10 and then trigger the shot. I will drive my car the doors opened without turning my wheel and proove that it's dangerous.

    • @Dutch_Defense_and_Survival
      @Dutch_Defense_and_Survival  3 месяца назад +8

      Think about it: When you make a turn in your car, does the door randomly fly open sometimes? Probably not. But with the M10, when the 'AR-15' pin fails, bolts can fly out unexpectedly-even when you’re just moving around with it. For a weapon marketed for dynamic shooting, that’s a serious design flaw.

  • @jonnes__4657
    @jonnes__4657 3 месяца назад +2

    🗽Why you do not fix the upper with the pin, as required for safe operation.... ???
    That is not a normal use case, that is a dangerous use you show!
