My gosh, you are changing my idea of how a woman’s life has to go and how aging has to be 😦
Aging is a beautiful thing, more years to love and invest in yourself!
Exactly. This is really living. 😊
Same 😍
@@joanmacdonald6346 hi Joan, I was wondering if you also ut calories to lose weight or focused more on body building?
Same here!!
Proof that you’re never too old to fix yourself. I hear so many people claiming they are too old to join a gym or lose weight.
I joined a gym at 52. I had a baby at 43 and hadn’t worked out in 10 years. I feel so much better.
Amy C feel better mentally or physically? Or both
Soph Lou Both!😃
I agree! We are never too old to change and then enjoy our lifes!!!
Amen!!!!!
I just found this. I'm 75 and thought it was too late. Now I have something to look forward to.
It is never ever too late. ❤️
Hello dear
@M J lol no
@M J How are you doing today?
U may like 15 Minute Sunrise Tai Chi. That's where I started. I transitioned into Fitness With Cindy' s '15 Minute Stretch' then went to Cindy's '15 Minute Senior Strength'. I added some 10-15 min Denise Austen, then a variety of others. If one exercise is too hard, sub it for one u CAN do or just jog/walk in place til the next one. Even if u walk in place the whole video, u did well! Always have your water with u and take water breaks as needed.
I'm 63. Been lifting weights for a couple of years. I'm stronger now than I was at 20. My balance and coordination are awesome. Started out about 250lbs now I'm 165 and solid.
How awesome! Congrats!
Yay 😀
you're never too old to work on your balance.
Keep moving! Don’t stop!
Do you have any suggestions on how to lose weight for someone who has bad knees? I would love your advice if you don't mind... May I ask you how long it took you to lose the weight?
The only MacDonald that should be our goals!
Along with McDonald’s 🙃
Edit Name Absolute not
Mrssewhardtoplease mc Donalds and other food chains are so evil when you look into them 👀
You are inspiring
Exactly!!!
If she can do it at 70 and get THOSE results, there's really no excuse.
EDIT: I said this in an enthusiastic way to motivate myself. I didn't mean to negate other peoples' health issues or legitimate reasons for not exercising as much.
I always say: If I can do it, you can do it! It is not always easy but it is worth it.
A G job n finance is an excuse
There are different kinds of health problems. Some injuries make it harder and more painful to exercise, and people keep re-injuring themselves. This woman apparently had good diet and exercise advice, but that's not true for everyone, so isn't fair to say that there is really no excuse.
@@lilyroza Of course you are right. I didn't mean to minimise other peoples' health issues. My comment should express the inspiring effect she has on me (meaning, I have no excuse).
Yes¡¡¡¡
Who the heck gives this video a thumb down? That’s a different kind of being miserable lol. Joan is an inspiration to ANY human being
Thanks so much Patty
She's beautiful 😊
The same people that would give a thumbs down to the cure of cancer .The thumbs down is what they are .
Hello saboi
@@joanmacdonald6346 Hello
I’m 54 years young. This beautiful lady make me realize that if she can do it at 74 years and look amaizing I can do it at 54 years old and look great like you!!! Thank you
She 73
Yes!!! 💪💪🙏🏻💕
Shame here. She puts us in our place, huh.
Look at her arms! This Lady is doing pushups while I cant even do one at 30 years old. Amazing :)
Thank-you! Keep working at it and you will be able to do more. I took it one step at a time.
You can start somewhere some how before the end of the year you will be transformed both physically and mentally in terms of health concerns
At 22 here
I'm 22 and i can't😭😭😭
And pull ups!
1:17 look at those muscular legs while she rides the bike, and the cute crop top and floral shorts! You look youthful and vibrant, and i am inspired to keep going to the gym!
Keep at it :)
@@joanmacdonald6346 I have been using the rowing machine during covid. I am so glad to see it works for you. I am getting kettle bells to bump my workout up! Inspiring!! 🔥
@@lovemesomeslippers Just remember it’s not the equipment it’s the movement, body weight exercises, walking, improvised weights using items already in your home and resistance bands you can get for under $10 will provide you with a high quality workout without spending a lot of money. Stay well.
Greg doucett says she did steroids, so it must be true. He is an expert in body building, and know alot about using steroids.
All steroids do is make your muscles heal faster, if she did do steroids it doesn’t make her any less amazing, you have to be in the gym working out hard AF if you’re on steroids. She worked hard for that.
This message came as a confirmation to get off my butt and get serious about getting fit. Three years ago I dropped 60 pounds and was in the best shape of my life. Since covid 40 pounds have returned, but I am not giving up! Went to the gym, have resumed dance classes and started power walks twice a day. Thank you, Beloved!
You can do it Cheryl! Stay consistent with the right habits and you will see great progress.
Cheryl Cuttineau, good morning how are you, I hope the pandemic situation is under control over there in your country
She can do freaking pull ups. My 22 year old ass is jealous 😂 no honestly, this is soo amazing and inspiring 👏💕
Right?! I'm 49 and it's a goal of mine to do 1!
This proves that your MINDSET is truly what matters. This is so inspiring. I’m 25, and I wanna be like her when I grow up. 😂💕
Right😩😂
Seriously!! Goals.
M B if you start right now you won’t have to wait to be like her ‘when you grow up’😉
RUclips Addict exactly, I like the way you think 💭😎
@@m.xoxo.b All the man dem say that about me too lmaoooo 😂😎😎
This makes me want to get fit while I’m young so my retirement will be bike rides to the beach instead of hours in front the tv.
I am so glad that you found my story inspiring. I wish I would have started earlier
Can’t go backwards, we can only go forward!!
YES! I'm almost 69. I'm spending my summer in kayaks, on inner tubes, shooting the rapids. Do the work and your body will stay young! I swear ppl don't believe how old I am, and I never even had the focus to do skincare. Eat tons of dark greens and other veggies, piece of meat the size of your palm and skip or go light on the rest.
I feel this. When I started running I remember running for a minute nonstop and feeling like I was going to die. But then I could 3, then 5, then 20 etc. it’s hard but when you hit those new goals and reflect on where you started it’s a great feeling!
It is a great feeling for sure
I am trying to get motivated to get my life back. I took care of my mom for 17 years, at the same time that I was raising a child. I am 56 now, and so unhealthy. I know what I have to do, and have started up a few times, but then give up. Watching your videos really inspires me because I was beginning to think that I was at an age that a complete overhaul of my health habits, was undoable. I am going to continue to follow you, in the hopes that I can get it together, and take my life back. Thank you Joan!
Joan is so blessed to have a child that was willing to give her mother all of her support and knowledge, but at the end of the day it was Joan who made the decision to show up in her own life. Cheers to you Joan :)
Thanks so much Rosa! I am thankful for my family.
I have been for a long time, trying to help to my mother, but she always says no, cause l am not a doctor, it is so frustrating seeing your lovers getting worst every day... 💔😞
Joan showed up in her own life.,
Well worded Rosa. Some days i want to trade myself in. Lost interest in my life. I battle laziness. Need firecracker under arse, but that goes out eventually too. How do we keep the fire crackers poppin?
Werever we go, there we are.
You go Joan.😉💪👍
Amen to that 🤗 🤗
Hello dear
And I am always have excuses for not doing fitness or eating well... She‘s a good reasons to never doubt yourself and just do it!!!
Prs Tori Ha Ha! Yes me too! I quit my job and head to Bali for a month tomorrow. I can’t make excuses anymore
Skippy The ‘Bush’ Kangaroo lucky you! May you have safe travels and much enlightenment ♥️
@@iDrive123 you are
One of my biggest fear is to loose my shape when growing old, you inspire so much
Clara, no need to fear. Stick to a great plan and you can keep shape, & have great energy.
One of my fears was to walk crooked or waddle when I got old. At 62 I work hard to keep my core strong so I can walk straight and keep my my in alignment. I agree with Joan, no need to fear, just keep working at it!
Why am I crying as I watch this? I'm overwhelmed .. Thank God for making us strong resilient beings ... youbhave placed the power within us . Its up to us to unlock it.
I cry every time as well. This is the beauty of the human spirit to grow and heal and empower itself through togetherness.

When I saw her doing barbell hip thrusts I was like damn
Right. With all those weights! I do hip thrusts often but not nearly enough weight.
I thought it is especially amazing that she is doing pull ups (or chin ups, not sure)! Seems to be a very good all rounder.
So did I!!
Yeah that was hardcore!
You are my inspiration. I have begun the journey.

Bella bella bella
Aaa love you
Way to go Barb! I lost 130 lbs 7 years ago and have able to keep it off. I had to develop new habits. I struggled, it was hard. I continually failed but the thing that led to my success is no matter how many times I fell I DID NOT QUIT. Don’t ever give up, you got this. I believe in you!!! 💕💕💕
Thanks for sharing your inspiring story Joan!!! I hope all my clients can take on your perspective to live happier and healthier lives! You're a Rockstar! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Joan, thank you so much for this wonderful video. At 68, after recovering from spinal stenosis, I'm back using resistance bands. Every workout is easier and I know I'm going to get back in shape. I lifted weights for 20 years, but then lost my strength when I was temporarily disabled. You look fantastic and it's wonderful to see what a senior woman can accomplish. I know I can do it too.
Stella you can do it! Take it one step at a time :) Thanks for sharing.
My God, you look amazing! In three years, from being way overweight, and at your age, you turned yourself into an Amazon! You go, girl! Incredible!
Thank you for writing such kind words on my page! Have a great day!
*I want my grandma to loose weight so she can live longer,* *because i love her and i want her to be healthy!* *but she says she's too old for that,* *i'm gonna show her this video and proof her wrong.* 😆💓
You are never too old to make a change
Go on walks with her, exercise with her, she needs motivation. Maybe take her to Costco or Sam's club, walk up and down the aisles or to the mall to window shop. She will be getting exercise without realizing it.
@@lindachinn3981 thank you💖
monique alloo take care of your grandma 👵 I wish I had one.
Please do it I tried to get my dad to change his ways years ago. Weather it's connected or not he ended up getting very over weight had heart problems then got cancer and died. So can't stress enough for people of any age to try to get fit. The hard work is worth the payoff
Great results! She is blessed to have a caring daughter as a personal trainer to push her to become healthy and strong!
I am so grateful to Michelle and all she does for me.
AMAZING...hope you're still going strong and feeling good!!! Blessings to you and your family!! 😇😇😇
What i love on top of the sheer perseverance is that she doesn't limit herself to wear large tshirts and loose gym wear, she's proud of her body and not afraid to show it off 💜
Wonderful, I also exercise ... hard weights and cardio, and eat whole foods, no refined carbs. I am 72 years old and going strong. Keep it up!
Thanks mom. sometimes i felt too old to heavy workout, you make me realize that never to late to workout. i started heavy workout one year ago when i was 48, and now i feel too young after watched your transformation. You are inspiring me
You are an inspiration, thank you. I am a new cancer survivor and am so motivated by your progress. Keep up the good work!!

I thought I was doing something different losing 50 by 50 this is amazing.
Hello dear
Wow, Joan. So much respect for you. I too went on a fitness and wellness journey in 2016. From eating lots of bad carbs, junk food and sugar all my life to eating healthy since 2016, registering for the gym in 2017 and being very active in exercise and eating healthy until today. I am 60 now and from 140 lbs at my heaviest in 2015, I have consistently weight 110-112 lbs following an easy, enjoyable and very sustainable healthy regimen: lots of exercise, eating healthy, no sugar and a totally positive outlook in life! You are amazing! So proud of you!
You took the initiative and did something about your situation and I do so admire that in others
This video changed my life andgave me hope. I will show myself the same love and care that your daugther showed you and later you showed yourself! Thank you Joan
i never knew that a granny could move like that. thank you for changing my views regarding fitness.
I'm trying to change myself, and this helped me solidify my resolve.
thank you
Hi Ana, you can absolutely change. If anyone had told me 3 or 4 years ago this was going to be my story I would have been shocked. It is following key habits day by day. Do that and the changes start to come.
I'm 35 and have gotten super into fitness this year. My parents have never been into fitness, and both have started to have health issues over the past couple of years. So, the thought of getting older was starting to scare me for the first time. I want to be doing pull-ups at 70. I have mad respect for you. Thank you for sharing this and being inspirational!!
Wow what a story, I am happy that you are working on your health FOR YOU. Thats fantastic
Amazing positive attitude for older people that think they are past it. With support and self determination results can happen as this lady proves.
Awww just absolutely amazing.
Happy for you.
See how much your children love you.
And how much more you love yourself that you made that change.
Incredible journey.
Wow! I love seeing this because - I'm only 34 - but sometimes when I see other girls who are younger than me and i see my body changing... i feel insecure. But seeing stories like this - inspires me that even though my body is changing / I still can have such an enjoyable life and a great relationship with my body. Getting older doesn't have to feel debilitating.... it can be more beautiful than the years before it. Thank you thank you! This just inspired me to get my workout in. 💛💛 keep sharing and keep going! I'm grateful for you!
I'm grateful for messages like this Lexie. Yes getting older can be beautiful
I’m 28 I’ve been seeing the younger girls and like I need to get into the gym and get into shape😭😭😭😭😭
I’m 30 now. Lol 😂 I’m losing weight and getting in shape!

Thanks so much for the kind words. I am so thankful for Michelle and all her help with my transformation.
At 59 I’m in the same place Joan was before she started her journey. I needed to see that a turnaround is possible with effort and determination. Joan you’re a true inspiration! Your workout is beyond anything I imagined, but shows what’s possible. I’ve started my journey already but with your encouragement and example I realise I can finish it in a much better place, thank you xx
