In the beginning, finding a bathing suit that fit was a challenge, but that’s where my journey started. Now, 70 pounds down and completely reshaped, I’m not just about the numbers on the scale-I’m about feeling good and living a drug-free, healthy lifestyle. 💪🏻Women over 40 don’t have to rely on medication when there’s a better way. I feel obligated to share this because I’ve heard from so many who’ve transformed their lives, too. My advice? Believe in yourself and never shy away from the hard work.     Good Lord woman those are some guns! I’m having to really take my time because not long after hiring a Personal Trainer, I slipped on a hillside and the MRI shows that I have a massive tear in super sped so it’s going to be a rather slow process to lift the kind of weight that I would really need to.but I’m basically a beginner and proper form of weightlifting. I accepted my trainer, understands what kind of foundation has to be built before I can lift very heavyweight anyway.

      Get a trainer to lift correctly and so you don’t waste your time or hurt yourself and put yourself on an eating plan. No added sugars, alcohol, pasta, bread, sweets and junk food. You can do the same as Joan.

    Hello, you are inspiring and I wish more women would share their stories like this because as we age we feel like the old lady bod is our destiny and even in my 40s I get stuck on this 5lb lose and gain, hours on the treadmill and denying myself everything I like with little to no progress but I can see what I need thru real stories from women who have done it rather than listening to puffed up gym jocks who know nothing about how our bodies function

    meal 1: protein pancakes ( 4 small ones) meal 2: egg white omelette with turkey burger and 1 piece cheese, 3 cherry tomatoes, 1/2 bagel meal 3: blueberry fluff ( 35 g. blueberries, 100 ml. coconut milk, 1 scoopvchocolate protein powder and 8 ice cubes- blend it all together ) meal 4: salmon and carrots and asparagus and a kale slaw salad.

    I am now 72. No longer a pre diabetic, blood pressure normalised, now off all medication and have reduced my weight to 76kgs from 88.2 kgs. My BMI now within the normal range. Man's "boobs" gone, fatty midriff gone. How did I do this??? Simply by dumping the "traditional western high carb, low fat diet". My typical weekly shop is as follows: 2 tins of sardines in spring water 1 whole mackerel 5 chicken thighs/legs 1kg chuck steak (called braising steak in the UK) 1 pack pork belly strips. 500g 20% fat ground beef 180g lamb's liver 10 x smoked bacon rashers 24 large eggs 380g pure butter After some research, I found out fruit is a combination of sugar and fructose and is contaminated with insecticides and herbicides. The average vegetable, besides being contaminated with the above, contain oxalates and has an average of 50 known carcinogens with white mushrooms a staggering 100. I cook my eggs in butter as cooking in oil made from seeds cause inflammation to the body. I actually save money as I am not paying for processed foods, take aways and all the other junk lining the supermarket shelves.

      I don’t think that 4-5 smaller meals throughout the day is snacking. Snacking is grabbing something smaller, like a handful of chips, and eating it without thinking too much about the extra calories. There are definite benefits to smaller meals spaced out through the day. Does it work for everyone? Probably not. I know some people who eat two meals a day, and stop eating by the afternoon - kind of like a semi-fast. I know someone who only eats one meal a day. Most people do the usual three meals a day, but it’s usually because that’s the societal expectation. The body adjusts to different routines. The important thing is getting proper nutrition and the right amount of calories for what you’re trying to accomplish.
