Thanks so much. Always loved that song and was a bit intimidated by the idea of trying to cover it (and do it justice). I was lucky to be included in such a collaboration with so many talented musicians. Cheers! Happy New Year! Oh, Gert and I are now working on some original material, so hopefully should have something to share early into the year.
Thanks so much, Brian. That was quite a fun one to do. I've loved that song since I was young, and it holds the same magic to this day. When learning a song, it can sometimes take away the magic one hears before learning it. That is certainly not the case with this song. Thanks for the kind remarks. All the best to you in 2024. Cheers!
Keiichi ... thank you so much for always taking the time to watch the videos, as well as the positive encouragement. I wish you the very best in 2024. Cheers!
Hey Brian … thanks for the kind remark. It’s not all that surprising, believe it or not. I’ve loved Gerry Rafferty since I was young. I heard this song on the radio in the 70’s and it has never lost its appeal. Thanks much for tuning-in. I hope all is well with you. Happy New Year!
@@welldonep We're doing well here. I try to make music whenever I have the muse but I play a little every day. Have you heard any of Gerry's stuff from his Stealer's Wheel days? Hope you're doing well too and that 2024 is excellent for you.
@@BrynAilyn Glad to hear you all are doing well. Indeed, I love Stealers Wheel. I have all 3 of their albums. I've been playing Late Again for years. Also love Star, Waltz and Nothing's Gonna Change My Mind from Ferguslie Park ... and Benediction and Right or Wrong from the Right or Wrong album. Some really great stuff. Happy New Year to you all.
It feels weird to see a cover of a group that isn't the smiths here! But even out of your comfort zone it was amazing, that sax player is killing it!!!!
Ahhhhh, yes, I/we do like a lot of music other than the Smiths. Obviously, they were a big influence on Gert and I, and our collaboration more or less started around doing Smiths covers, but we both like a lot of different types of music. I agree, Kris did a great job on the sax part, as did everyone else who played on it, including Gert’s son on drums. I feel fortunate to have collaborated with all of these wonderful musicians. Cheers!
That’s an amazing cover version! Congratulations to all. I hope we’ll see more collaborations in 2024.

Superb cover Peter, really well done. The mix and production is spot on.
Thanks so much Neil. Thanks for taking the time to watch. I just watched the video for your cover of Change Your Mind. Very nice!! Cheers!
Magnificent! All the best to you all for 2024, when I hope to see more of these awesome collaborations.
