That's why Edward can't stand her in biology class in twilight, why jasper can't controll himself, here, in new moon, and why Rosalie can't controll herself while bellas in labour in breaking dawn.

Wild Boy yes you right and one thing to note is that vampires move at great speeds and in this instance Edward heard Jasper's thoughts before he could make a move on Bella so instinctevly Edward had to push her that far off if not Jasper would have reached Bella quickly before Edward would Have had the chance to shove him with that momentum.

There are little 'things' like this through out the movie. IMO it's to keep us, the audience, aware of her self confessed 'clumsiness', and makes us more aware of the vamps 'perfect' movements. Like, why she couldn't dance etc.

In a way, I'm glad this happened. If not, Edward would have found some other reason down the line to leave her. At least he got all his doubts out of the way early on in their relationship. Got it over with, learned their lesson, and now his resolve to stay with her is _truly_ irrevocable. ❤️
I just want to say jasper tried so hard not to loose control in this scene. Im proud of him. Im sure he must of felt incredibly guilty and upset with him self like carlisle said but it would have been good to include in the movie later on someone saying/ (mabye carlisle) reassuring him that it was not his fault.
Rosalie and Emmett are so mismatched it's obvious that Emmett was the love em and leave em type of guy, a frat boy, party animal, while Rosalie was classy, elegant, and sophisticated definitely the type of woman that wouldn't put up with Emmett"s shit.
